October 20th 2007 Western Magic Part 8

A married couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years before. Because of their hectic work schedules, the husband decided to fly south on Friday, and his wife was to fly down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel and found there was a computer in the lobby for limited use by guests. He decided to send an email to his wife. However, he made a small typo in her email address, and without noticing his error, sent the email to the wrong address.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Houston... a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory after suffering a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and then fainted. The widow's son rushed into the room, saw his mother on the floor, and then saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Date: Friday, October 13
Subject: I have Arrived!

Dearest Love:
I know you are surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now, and you are allowed to send email to your loved ones! I have just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow, and look forward to seeing you then.
Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.
Hugs and kisses,
Me
P.S. Sure is freaking hot down here!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
That is a good one, Chris. Keep them coming.

Hope ya feel better, even if you do not get those "personalities" the DR prescribes for ya.

Morning all.
I can not believe it, down to single digits. I thank me well organized wife:love: that we are 95% packed and ready to go. All that is really left to do is last minute stuff that goes in the carry-ons to keep everyone busy on the flight there. And how much $ said wife will let me have to spend.:lmao:

Jen,

The seat assignments will cost you $5 each, but you won't have to worry where you're sitting. We've been separated in the past, but were lucky enough to get together when we were at the gate. If you have your ticket locator, you may be able to do it online. Otherwise, just call AT and have it done.

You can go out to their site before hand to see what seats are available so you know what to ask for when you call.

I think I'm going to wait and do it at the airport. I was able to see the available seats online, and there isn't much difference in what's left.

I am planning to check in VERY early at the airport, since it seems that some of the negative reviews I've read about Airtran (not letting people board, giving away seats, not letting people check luggage) could be avoided by checking in early.

Have you flown Airtran before?

Man I know what you mean, I look at my spending account an worry that it's not enough, even though, I set aside over $2000! After bugeting it all out I think that I have less than $200 to spend on myself!

I'm guessing we have Scott here?

I'm sure the spending $$ your wife will allow you includes you buying her something special for all the hard work she's done getting ready for the cruise, right?? :thumbsup2

Sorry, couldn't resist;)

Well, we still have 10 days...I'm not counting the 19th. Although, come to think of it I should, because we will not be working...we'll be travelling that day :)

Boy, that does look gray! You may not have a ship blocking your view in that photo, but I'll tell you that my verahdah will be overlooking that ship there next to the Magic!

That's o.k., our port hole is looking at way too. So we'll miss out on the view in Coz and in Castaway. Oh well, we're on the ship and sailing in 10 days. :cool1:

We will have to make the best of what little we get.:rotfl:

Yes I have flown them before. I think they're fine. They are usually ahead of schedule. My biggest problem with them is the fluctuation in schedules.

Now that they have seat assignments, albeit at a fee, even better.

Don't forget, you can check in 24 hours in advance online. Also, from past experience, they assign the seats at about a day out. You may have no choice in seats depending on how full the plane is.

Yep, it is scott. Just one special thing?:confused3 :rotfl: I have my mind on what to get...oh I forgot she reads these. Better keep the surprises to my self.

I have hard copy tickets, so I think I have to check in at the airport. I can't check in online.

Hmmm....

Almost an hour and no one is posting??? It is only Oct 10th right? I didn't miss the boat did I? :confused3

Edited: Wow the DIS clock is really off by over a half an hour???
