Wish I could chat longer, but I have to get Alex to school....just about two weeks left!!!!

We told Thomas about the cruise last night - and it was SO fun! We started out by telling him we were going on a vacation, and started the Disney DVD. We showed him the boat, and he seemed interested, but didn't quite get it. THEN, he saw Mickey Mouse...and started jumping up and down! "Mickey Mouse, I'm going to meet Mickey Mouse! And Minnie Mouse, and Goofy!" He was jumping up and down and yelling - he is so excited to meet the characters! (Guess who's going to be combing their Navigator for all the character meets!)

My favorite question from him was (upon seeing Captain Hook in the DVD), "Oh, I'm going to meet Captain Hook - will he be mean?"

He also asked if Handy Manny was going to be there, then answered his own question, saying "No, he's busy. He's out fixing things for people."

My mom gave Thomas a hat with Mickey Mouse on it for the cruise (it's so cute) and I did get some pictures. I don't know how to post them, but maybe I'll bring 'em along.

Ok, now that Thomas knows too, it's going to be interesting to see who's most excited - him or me!

This is so cute, Jen.

Good morning everyone!! Off to work but I wanted to wish everyone a great weekend - I love federal holidays (we have Monday off!) so it's a three-day weekend for this old Crohn which means I can finally start organizing for the trip. :thumbsup2

On a baseball note... Go Arizona! Go Colorado! Go Cleveland! And I'm relatively indifferent to Boston and Anaheim. :rotfl:

Big hugs to everyone who needs them ... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Update to my Thomas story...

He woke up today, and told me right off, "I'm going to meet Mickey Mouse on our vacation!" Yup, he's still excited!

Today, for a treat, the kids got to wear their pajamas to school. Of course, Thomas is wearing his Peter Pan pajamas :) DH just dropped Thomas off at daycare, and called to tell me that Thomas is running around the room, arms stock out, saying, "I'm going to meet Peter Pan! I'm flying on an airplane for my vacation!" and on and on....he's going to be quite a handful today!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

15 days...

only 10 more work days (including today)...

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Ok, suppose I'd better go do some of that work stuff....

I'll be back later....

That's way cool. Parenting is the greatest job of all.

Thanks, y'all; this explains a lot! Now if I could just get the doc to prescribe the supplies that go with the glucometer, and get a competent pharmacy worker to fill it, I will be set. (Yesterday I wasted 3+ hours trying to track down a glucometer out in town at places that my insurance covered, only to find out that they had it in my clinic pharmacy the whole time--they had told me in the morning that they didn't have one.....the worker didn't know what a glucometer was and was too lazy to ask someone else....)

Crazy. I hear stories like this all the time. It fustrates me that these things even need to be prescribed. There's no need for that. Ever hear of a person abusing their glucometer? I could go on an on!

hypo-gluco-FO?
:rotfl2:

Good Morning everyone

13 more sleeps for us

7 more days of work after today

Cass - Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!

I think Scott finally gets it he just won't get on here. But while I'm on here he like "say this, say that" and I'm saying come say it yourself.:rotfl:

We have a problem. Both Scotts are like that. If he is around me he will have me slow down my reading so he can read to catch up, then he tells me oh you should say this or that. I tell him when it is your turn you can respond to it.

The kind I have we got the monitor through the dr/ pharmacy but the needles and stripes are out of pocket and over the counter. Check with your insurance to see if they cover them. If they are over the counter and insurance covers them you can be reimbursed.

Feeling better today. I did not wake up early. 10 1l2 hours of sleep. I think most of it is allergy related. Our weather is finally starting to change. So we had a lot of wind yesterday. And silly me drove with the windows down.

My problem is he won't ever take a turn to say it himself.:confused3 Oh well, I'll just have to talk enough for both of us over the next two weeks.:thumbsup2

That is a problem. Here is a solution that might help you up your post count. Post what he tells you to. If you can a comment about the same thing post it in another post. That way you are posting for him and for you in different posts.

Good morning...I'm on and off again today.

Go back a page and read my posts about telling DS abou the cruise - I thought it was cute!

Good morning to you also. I am getting ready to take Mac to school it is half day for her and field day so I was going to stay at school with her today. She also gets a hot dog lunch as a reward for her class.

I read it. How cute. I can now see why you waited so long to tell him. Did you get still pictures or video. If you want to learn how to post pictures I can walk you through it. Just let me know.

Good morning all...

I'm on a bit early this morning...just catching up a bit.

DS will be wearing Pirate gear, but Mom, Mary and I will be wearing Pirate-type t-shirts and bandanas only. Well, and eyepatches and my skull and crossbones earrings. Mom bought me my shirt (it's cute) and Mary bought Pirate t-shirts for the two of them. I thought about full pirate costume, but I had to stop spending money somewhere (sigh) andd all the Pirate stuff I found I liked was a bit pricy. DH has a fluffy-type shirt he bought at a renaissance fair when we were in the SCA, so I think I'll pack that for him.

I got my iron-on transfers printed out last night, so I'm one step closer to being done with t-shirts! I think they turned out ok. I probably won't get around to doing the ironing until Sunday (we have a family gathering this weekend).

Hubby and I will just be wearing pirate t shirts etc and Ellis will be in a pirate costume. Theres no room in the case for anything more.

Good luck with the t shirts.

Cute story about Thomas:goodvibes - Ellis is excited, but if I'm honest I think I'm more excited than he is:rolleyes1

Hi there Brenda:goodvibes - when do you go? Looking forward to meeting up on the 17th. Did you get your rezzies for the french restaurant sorted?
It will be a nice break in the middle of the day for us. I have to be up at the butt crack of stupidd as I have an organised tour round Disney that day so Neil is taking Ellis into MK and meeting me later. Its 5 hours long, so we'll then head over to meet you and then back to MK for the fireworks. We're going to be tired cos we have MNSSHP the night before - hmmmm...could have planned that better:rolleyes:

Have a fun day at school! That sounds like a good time :)

I went on one of Thomas's daycare field trips once - I had a lot of fun.

We took pictures... we don't have a video camera. It was SO fun.

To post pics do you have to have a photobucket or shutterfly or one of those types of accounts? I've never looked into that before...
