I figured I'd better pack now because I never know when my dad will be back in the hospital. He seems to be running on a 2 week pattern. ;)

This way I won't be behind the days before we leave. :thumbsup2

I am going to be ready!!:woohoo:

Robin, your dad gets to go home? Or back to a nursing home?

A girl at work told me today she watched Oprah on Monday and Dr. Oz did the entire show, he hosted it while Oprah watched from backstage, on subjects for men.

Dr. Oz has very cool, informative shows! Very interesting. Has some shows of his own on Discovery Health and has written books.

Anyway, he said that the average man has sex once a week but that to live a longer life have sex 4 times a week! He said to the women that it was up to them to help their husbands live longer:rotfl:

Of course I told Bob this and he wholeheartedly agreed:thumbsup2
What man wouldn't?

Rose,

Could we please delete this? We don't want this info being spread around! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Need to share a story - hope this doesnt bore you.

Spencer is a HUGE Baseball fan....while he plays hockey, soccer, cross country running, swimming, etc - baseball is his favourite thing to do.

But he has had 3 broken bones in the last few years and that has had a real impact on his playing. (1. September 2005 - first week of school, tripped over the slide at school and broke his elbow 2. August 2006 - summer camp, was jumping off the stage and caught his foot on something and broke his wrist. 3. January 2007 - play fighting at home and came down on his leg the wrong way and broke it. Thank God he was only with us once or we would be under investigation by childcare services. Doctor says he is fine, just unlucky).

So this summer he has really been focusing on building his leg muscles back up as he was casted for 9 weeks and I was amazed at how long it took for him to fully recover - probably didnt run properly until July.

Over the last 2 weekends he has been trying out to win a spot to "practice" with the Rep Baseball Coaches over the winter. They dont pick the team until April but the coaches take about 15-16 kids and practice with them from January to April - this gives the kids a real lead on other kids to make the team as they have practices for a few months AND the coaches have got to know them!

60 kids tried out the first 2 tryouts and then we were told that only 24 woudl be invited back for the final try out

YEAH - Spencer got picked to come back last Sunday for the final tryout. He had a good try out but he was the slowest runner. We were told that they would narrow it down to the 16 kids and that they would call over the next night or two.

Sunday ngiht - no call

Monday night - no call

Tuesday night - no call

Wednesday - Mommy is getting irritated so she calls the coach and leaves a message.

2 hours later - YEAH! Spencer has been chosen to practice with the team. So no guarantee he will make the REP team but at least he is one step closer to his dream!!! We are all so excited for him!

Thanks for letting me share
Jessalynn

Hooray for Spencer! All this Disney Magic is working on him!

It's one of those deaths that don't suprise you. He was in a nursing home and in his mid 80's and had not been well.

This sounds terrible, but I went for my cousins, because I didn't really like the guy. :guilty: How heartless am I? :scared: (Mike's going to say, "I can't believe you told everyone that.) :)

That's not terrible at all. At least you show enough respect to go. You are very kind and sweet.

I won't even go to the funerals of relatives I disliked. I wouldn't want people to go to my own funeral if they didn't like me either.
I didn't go to my grandfather's or my uncles, and doubtful I'd go to my own mother's.
That's terrible, but that is how I feel. I don't want to feel hypocritical.

When my grandfather had died many years ago, my uncle (his son) went to the funeral, and I didn't. I asked him why he went when I knew he hated his father... he said "I just wanted to actually be certain that he was dead and gone"
I thought this was horrible and vowed that if anyone died that I didn't like that much then I just would not go.

I guess I would have to agree with you. I've almost been kicked out of Wisconsin a couple of times since I hate beer and I don't really like brats either. (although I am happy with a Polish!)

Hey, I'm with you there! I'm not a beer 'n brat person either...

I actually prefer the word petite. :snooty: Welcome to our vertically challenged club!! :cheer2:

Vertically Challenged??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1:

I hate that phrase...

Actually, Garfield put it best -

"I'm not overweight, I'm undertall"...

I'm undertall! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We just heard from our TA--she said our documents should be at our house within the week! :cool1: :cool1:

Yeah, mine said she should have ours by this weekend.
Then she'll drop them off to my house.
She's from AAA. I have heard lots of complaints on here about them but I'm sure it all just depends on the individual and nothing against AAA.
But my TA..... Carol...top notch:thumbsup2

OK gals (and guys)
In honor of Cass,
How many of you are getting your coifs done (willing or not) before the cruise?:cutie: I am getting a color, highlight. cut on Saturday.
Also getting acrylics (horrible nail biter) and a pedi before I go.
(we need a smilie in curlers)

I'll be getting mine cut perhaps next week, I'll probably just color myself to save money. Perhaps get a pedicure before I go.... not sure on the nails yet though. Have spent more money for this cruise than I really have money to pay for it all:eek:

I'm getting my hair cut on the 16th--it really needs to be cut right now, but I am trying to stretch it. :confused3

It's not Brazilian!!:scared1:

Anone ever had one of those?

I'm afraid.

Ok, I know this is a taboo subject for the boards but what do you do?

I'm tired of shaving and shave bumps...
I'm going to try the Nair bikini again, I've tried it before but can't remember how well it worked, how long it lasted and how irritating it was?

Ok.....
survey says............................

This is very true, my last TA with AAA was awesome. This one is just average.

Never used it, but I was thinking about it too...

Anxious to see if there's any response???

I agree - childbirth was easy - dealing with them afterwards is far more difficult

Spencer (first child) - water broke while at a movie around 1130pm - he was born at 530am with no issues

Avery - I put Spencer down for a nap on a Sunday afternoon and when he woke up, Grandma was there to tell him his little sister had been born (just under 2 hours)

I would happily be pregnant and give birth over and over again! The best 18 months of my life!

Jessalynn

Not mine.
Got a torsion of my left ovary 5 months pregnant. That was painful!
Stupid doctors thought I was having gas for 2 days.... told me I didn't know since it was my first child. By third day I had to go to emergency room then surgery and they removed my ovary while pregnant!
Almost went into labor then. But Sean survived.

He was late for 2 weeks, I went in to be induced and 2 days more of nothing but nurses telling me to push... etc. Son's father kept yelling at me. Me crying tired. Then C section.
Come to find out, and I was pushing hard! that I had a contraction ring in my uterus that no matter how hard I'd ever push, he never would have come out, he was stuck!

I was so pissed at those nurses and son's father afterward for yelling at me to push:headache:
Just as I was at those other 2 docs who told me I had gas when it was a torsion!
I never went to them again. My ob/gyn who practiced with them and had delivered my baby, and was the sweetest of all of them, left that practice and works by himself now. I followed him out of there.
