I see all this talk about grey hair, what, doesn't everyone's family genes make it so you don't grey until you are into your 60's?

Both my parents didn't grey until they were in their 60's. My dad's parents either (don't remember my mom's parents, plus they were over 70 when I was born).

Now my dad pretty much turned grey overnight when he went into a diabetic coma.

The flip side to this though I guess is that both my parents died in their 60's.

Maybe I'll take the grey hair in my 50's if I can then live to my 70's. Average age for men on my side of the family is around 74 y.o. If I make it to 75, I'll be happy.

Had you picked out the name Sarah before the song was played? that woudl have been cool if you had!

10 pounds for the first - wow! My first was 8 lbs 1oz and second was 9lbs 2 oz. That was big enough for me - my one nephew was 12 pounds - and to this day he is a heavy set kid.

Yes we had already decided on her name. Now that song is what plays on my cell phone when she calls me from her phone.

DS turned out fine, except I think the whole ordeal made him develop an attitude problem. We first noticed it at 3 years old, now he'll talk back every once in a while. :rotfl2:

All kidding aside, NO they did not keep us informed the whole time. They should have done the C-section in the morning, but our Dr couldn't do one - we were on an HMO at the time and she was an FP that did OB, but couldn't do surgery. So she was in the hospital for most of the day and then left at 2:00ish. Then the next Dr. let Suz lie there while they "assessed" the situation - excuse me, was there no notes from the morning. Finally at about 6:00 p.m. we told them this was rediculous and what is taking so long. They consulted with the Dr. again and took her right to the surgery room.

They knew that morning that this was not going to go the normal way. They're lucky there wasn't any issues with DS.

My son was much in the same position, Laura was in labor for about 23 hours before she gave birth. The decelerations in heart rate during contractions was very concerning to me too. The doctor wanted us to have the C-section but Laura talked him into using the Suction cup. (This really scared me!) The Doc gave it a half-hearted try and pop! out came the boy! Now with Leah, they started breaking down the table after only about 4 hours and Laura and I chuckled, thinking, they don't know what they doing. We just don't have children in such a short amount of time. My daughter was born less then an hour later!

My dad's side goes bald and my mom's side goes grey. Whenever, my brother whines about going grey (he was totally grey in his 20's so now he dyes his hair) I simply point to my bald head. Shuts him up QUICK!

Hi all:

I have run into a problem with my home PC, apparently this thread is way too big for it too retrieve. I keep getting a Fatal Error message- out of memory. Any suggestions- maybe it is a setting issue? I can retrieve smaller threads on the forum. For now I have to sneak on using my work laptop.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards-

Jeff - My dad went pure white in his 20's. I have natual highlights, but being fair haired, it doesn't show so much. My brother and sisters are all dark haired and are quiet grey. I have to assist my natural highlights once in a while with chemical ones! :rotfl2:

Hi all!

Just got my docs!  It's funny, I have my own booklet. John and the girls are in one, and his parents are in the 3rd. Wonder why they did that? Makes the trip official now! :woohoo:

Jeff - glad to see you're here posting again! :thumbsup2 I like the new avatar.

Gotta get back to work! I'll try to come back by tonight after the girls are in bed.

Usually after you choose to save as a .jpg you will get a dialoge box asking you to select a compression factor. Sometimes it is a slider bar. Make sure this factor is set at 100%. I've never used Powerpoint before so I don't know how it handles these things, but if you don't have the option, then I assume that microsoft set the default at 100%.

I don't remember getting another dialog box, but I'm going to play around with it a little more tonight. Thanks for letting me know what to look for!

I'll admit to having a few grey hairs at 32 (and before) ...

You're not alone, Carrie!

Oh, and I heard back from my TA...no docs yet but she's on the lookout. So, I'm still :hourglass instead of

that's an odd error! Unless I am totally wrong (which happens) when accessing this thread, the computer does not need to download the entire thread, just the page that you are on. So you should not be getting an out-of memory error for that reason. Have you tried other equally long threads to see if it crashes on those? You can try going to Internet Options under your Tools heading. Then selecting Browsing History and Settings. Now lower the amount of space that the browser uses for caching web pages and tell it to check for a newer version of the webpage everytime you access one. Then decrease the number of days that you keep things in the history. That might help.

and speaking of fos. i just ordered a hat from the ncaa football championship game that has a large F in one corner and a large O in the other. from florida vs ohio state.
but when you look at the hat it looks like it reads fo
ill be wearing it through out the cruise.
this new hat will make me master of my FO main.

Love it!

Don't quite get it:confused3
what are we doing? reading screen names and real names and facts on everyone? And with wine?
I can help drink the wine Victoria!
Oh! Definitely the french champagne!
Well, there is no other than french anyway or it wouldn't really be called champagne! You are correct, but you can have French sparkling wine that isn't champagne.

Yes, I think it is just an excuse to get me drunk and for me to make a fool out of myself.

Agreed!:sad2:

Although if that was all there was to drink or a choice of beer I'd then drink the asti

I guess I would have to agree with you. I've almost been kicked out of Wisconsin a couple of times since I hate beer and I don't really like brats either. (although I am happy with a Polish!)
