Probably because the money for insurance comes out of their pocket, that's too bad. I really don't understand why parents have to do this, of course I have never been through circumstances like this either.

We even told her since it was court ordered that we pay the insurance that we would reimburse their the kids portion of the dental costs for insurance.

Understandable, keep your chin up. I feel for Scott too, must be hard to have to be the referee. Hugs to all of you.:grouphug:

I feel horrible because I truely believe if it was not for me that they would still want to spend time with their dad. I have come between him and his kids and I know it has put him in a horrible position.

How much are we willing to bet that once we leave our house on Thursday we don't hear the whole time we are gone about how the kids don't want to be around us?

:cheer2: Happy Birthday Grandma Blue Jay!!:cheer2:

It was a great party.

The only downer was before we left for the nursing home. I started crying as I was making my Mom's b-day card on the computer. :sad2:

When we got there...
We set it all up and had everyone in a separate room. Then Mike and I went down the hall to get Mom & Dad. Mom squealed when we took her in the room. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Great day!!:woohoo:

Maybe while the boys are playing b-ball the ladies can hit up the smoothie bar.:thumbsup2

Sounds good to me.

Although...
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Mike said he was counting on us putting on tube tops and doing a little jumping and cheering. :cloud9:

That'll happen.

Here are all the snacks that I bought yesterday for our travel days. I expect this to last for Friday, Sat and then the folliwing Sat.

Now this is a minor problem. We went to home depot today and forgot to lock up the dog. The snacks were on the counter. She ate the fruit rollups and the cupcakes. She also went upstairs and unpacked one suitcase, she ate the toothpaste, a shampoo, and a deoderant.

So we are getting things together and we are wondering about the following:

2 way radios- do they work? Worth bringing?: Lost DH last year on CC am definately bringing them this year.

Inflatable rafts and tubes. Any need for these in the pool or at the beach?Pool too small, beach only if you want to carry them in the luggage otherwise rent some.

Any last minute tips for us first timers regarding things to pack? Don't forget the docs and Passports/birth certificates. You may forget other things but at least you will be on the ship.

Thanks Becky. We have a portfolio all together with our docs.

Mike

Great picture Jeff! We need to get Andy to get a shot of our cruise next week. :cheer2:

"IF" I'm not busy taking pics of my DD before she heads out for the Homecoming Dance next Saturday, I will do my very best to get some pics of the Magic for y'all.............;)

Here is what I bought at that traveling disney store

d907f8b7.jpg

I got 2 short sleeve shirts for me, a long sleeve shirt for me, a hat for Scott, a pen and sweatshirt for Mac. And a disneyland memory book. Sorry forgot I got Mac a pair of slippers and an antenna topper for the van.

Since you all were kind enough to share the baseball love with me and my Cardinals last Fall ...

Go Indians!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Go Rockies!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have to say, it feels really weird not to be watching STL in the playoffs ... this is the first time in three years that we're not playing in the post-season. Oh well, we don't want to be totally selfish like the Yankees. Now and then we like to let the other kids play, too. ;)

Have a great evening! :goodvibes

And ... for anyone still following ... there was an Argie bargie update last night and there should be another later tonight. Thanks! :flower3:

You know, is that a girl thing? Because my son doesn't have that....
only the know it all arrogance.
Actually he makes me crazy when I tell him something so many times that I get to the point of being so frustrated I scream at him...
then he starts with this....
"Mom are you ok? I think you need to calm down, you're very upset and I am afraid that there is really something wrong with you, I am worried about you and maybe you need to go on meds"

Oh, I so want to smack him right then.... but I just somehow leave and go have a nice big glass of wine:upsidedow
Wine does take the edge off, doesn't it??

Glad you had a good day with your mom Robin. Did you bring any cake back with ya? I could kill for a big old piece of cake right now.

tube tops???:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: It ain't pretty Mike! :lmao:

Of course we are still following B. I'm heading over in the a.m. :yay:

If your dog can manage to unpack a suitcase have you ever considered taking her on the David Letterman Show? Ever seen that segment he does called Stupid Pet Tricks? It's a riot and a dog unpacking a suitcase ... :rotfl2:

Your poor dog ... her stomach must be a mess right now.

So DW and I just checked out the whose cruising pics on Cass's website.

Renee and I cannot believe that you two have been married 32 years... is that a typo? You all look wayyyyy toooo young to be married that long!!!!!

Mike not as much as Robin.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We have been married 15 years and look old as dirt.

We will be under way in just 7 DAYS!!!!

Can't wait too meet everybody.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks.

Trust me... It's not a typo! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It'll be 32 years on the 18th of October. We got married when Mike was 19 and I was 20 and had our first child over 2 years later.

I don't recommend it. It's tough going to college when you're working full time, running a household and chasing kids. ;)

Although, we are good together and I wouldn't trade those 32 years for anything. I got a real prize... and I'm definately going to keep him.

But I'm not sharing him with Cinnamon. :lmao: :lmao:

tube tops???:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: It ain't pretty Mike! :lmao:

Sorry, I sent the cake home with my great nieces and nephew. I sure didn't need it. I'm still trying to lose.

Re: tube tops... I don't know what Mike's thinking. That tube top I wore 20 years ago wasn't pretty.

:scared: I shutter to think what it would look like now. :scared:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Actually now that I think about it ... Carrie, you should harness all that energy your dog has and train her to pack your suitcase. That would really be something to see and it would be dead useful, too. ;)

I am waiting for the after effects so far nothing has happened. The suitcase was open. I left it that way, but she took the stuff out and it was all in zip lock bags so she ate the bags also. :sad2:

Scott was so mad at her for unpacking everything I have done that he kept yelling at her for it.

Did some packing last night and a little today.

Long way to go. The hardest part is trying to decide what's going in the carry-on and dividing our clothes up between all the suit cases in case one gets misplaced.

Got my pirate costume ready though. :thumbsup2

Why do guys like Wenches?

Thanks for trying for us Andy.

Actually, I was out cutting the grass when the Magic sailed passed today. I just went to "today's photos" and picked this one.

I think the Magic and the Wonder have "snapshots" everytime they pass.

This is the same dog who has ate couches, and chairs, easter baskets, toothpaste, and medications. At one point she ate a half a bottle of Motrian. I thought for sure she would die of an overdose.

If I could get her to pack for me that would be great.

They pay you for that don't they? And the stupid pet does the trick. Or is that the pet does the stupid trick?
