We actually had to turn our ceiling fans from medium to low today. And I had to turn the ac down in the car. We even got to have our doors open for a few hours today. This won't last long. They are saying 97 by the middle of the week.

We've been darn-right cold at night and in the mornings. But still needing A/C in the cars in the afternoon. A/C at home has been at a minimum.

Hey! You're not getting rid of me that easy :lmao: We leave Tuesday morning. :rolleyes1

Oh, I thought I saw a 10/8 leaving date for you guys. Oh well, I had you in WDW a day early, you should have taken it!:rotfl2:

Has anyone an updated list of leaving dates and Hotels? I'd go back and look it up but, that's a lot of work! I wish the search fn worked on these boards!

So today was just odd also. I was up early but all the kids slept in. So it was a PJ morning. I made breakfast (don't normally do) Help Kelsey with some homework. Finally got everyone dressed and out the door for erronds. We went to the bank so the kids could all get their money for the trip. (Then we get informed that their mother is giving them money for the trip also) :confused3 From their we went to walmart and left empty handed. They did not have notebook paper and Kelsey needed more for her homework. So then it was off to the bookstore to get my book and a mag for each kid for the trip. We left there to go to Target. Got Kelseys notebook paper, Mackenzie a shirt, Kelsey some slipper socks, and a stocking stuffer for Mackenzie for x-mas. From there it was off to the grocery store to get stuff for tonights BBQ. We decided to make schikaboes (sp). We have never made them. So I got 2 different kinds of chicken, shrimp and some beef. Along with vegetable. I really thought I would only get 15 out of all that. Boy was I wrong. We got home and visited with a neighbor for a little while. Then it was back to helping Kelsey with homework. Time for BBQ. Real interesting. We were all suposed to bring our own meet, and a side dish to share. So Kelsey and I start putting hte schikabobes together. We ended up with 30. (Great it means left overs for my lunches this wee) We also bought Mac salad and cookies to share. So at the BBQ I somehow got put in charge of watching the little kids. So only got to eat one shikabob and some mac salad and one 1/2 cookie. I went back near the end when the kids were done run around to find out that there were only 5 schikabobes left. Needless to say everyone we eating those instead of their food. One family only cooked hotdogs, so they gave those to all the kids except Mackenzie. (She does not care for hotdogs, she went for the shrimp and beef) Another famiy only brought cookies, another family did vegies and chicken. Another family brought salsa and some sauage. All the ones that brough other meat had left overs to take home. Gee I wonder why. They all at ours.

Hi Spacy - I think this is what we have done before:

SECTION 1
1) What do I put for 'date of arrival'? 10/26/2007?
SECTION 2
2) What is the home city of "Disney Cruise Line"? ORLANDO?
3) How many nights do I intend to stay? NIL or 0?
4) Is the type of accommodation 'other'? Nothing as you are not staying in the Bahamas
5) Do you put anything for the 'Hotel Name or Intended Address'? No, you are not staying in the Bahamas

Thanks for the answers! That will help save some time at the terminal. :thumbsup2

We've been darn-right cold at night and in the mornings. But still needing A/C in the cars in the afternoon. A/C at home has been at a minimum.

We still have the A/C in the house going full tilt. In the mornings I do not need the A/C in the car but the afternoons I do. I was actually wearing long sleeves today. Thin but still long. I am sure if our allergies were not as bad we would sleep with the windows open.

Wow, such a serious face this time ;) Still, so cute!
I finally found Cass' reply to this and yup, probably the hardest photo session yet. When I first sat her down it would have been a good shot but in the rush, I forgot to take the lens cap off for Cass  :confused3

Thanks, I have a feeling we will need all that pixie dust!!

Yeah, it was the toughest session yet! I only got about 10 photos and 9 of them were of her crawling away  I was lucky to get that one!

Yup, she's got 'tude now! Um, is that from you or me? :rolleyes1

She'll sleep but not as much as you want her to. Have a few things for her to play with and some snacks. But you know that. You guys will be OK. Enjoy your trip. You're leaving soon Right? Tommorrow? Have a safe flight and I'll see you in FL

No, I didn't see that coming. I've seen nothing for so long I was lulled. I'll have to start looking again.

Tuesday night we're there! :D Looking forward to the humidity again!
And the smell of PALM TREES!

Oh how I hate those digital delays. I'm glad that the new ones are better at it.

The SLR isn't too bad, 3x a second at its fastest; but it sure is picky when it comes to low light... grrr.

congrats to you blue jay.
im glad one of those WI folks didnt win again.
they dont seem to like me very much.:sad2:
especially that goose lady.:sad2:

Um, sure. LOl about the sig, she always says that. Then again, you have to wonder about guys who think a "cartoon" is hot.... :confused3
The Princess chair has a pic of Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, & Belle; though I think "Sleeping Beauty" as Cass would say, has a bit too much "personality" than what she should have.

Well, time to go pack up the laptop for the trip. Next time we use it will be in Florida!
See you all there!

Nice thing about tonight was that after Mackenzies bath time she let be comb her hair for about 15 minutes. I used to do that for 30 to 40 minutes a night but then life got busy and I stopped doing it. I really miss doing that.

Ok, I bit the bullet (since I won't have the time to do it tomorrow) and I wrote my intro for my trippie and posted it.

If you wanna check it out: be warned, it's loooong :rolleyes1

Oops sorry, edited to put the proper link!!

Awesome! Your live trip report back in 2005 was actually what gave me the cruise bug! I surprised the family with the Eastern cruise in January this year and we all liked it so much we booked this one a couple of days after we were back.

I blame you - and THANK YOU!! :lmao: :goodvibes

Mackenzie is starting to learn the sounds of the alphabet at school. So all day today we kept hearing her say B and then the sound for it. By midafternoon she was picking out words that started with B. Then tonight while I was combing her hair she said Book, B - O- O -C. I just about fell over. She was trying to spell. She has not done that yet. And she was so darn close. :)

Cheryl

We got your message. Sorry we went not in the house we were cleaning up from the BBQ. Kelsey was really bummed that she missed the call.

Can not wait to meet you guys.

Hey, I just read this. Has anyone else heard of it. This is horrible. I can not understand what people are thinking these days. It really makes you think twice before letting your kids go anywhere.

Off-Duty Deputy in Small Wisconsin Town Kills 6, Injures Another Before He Is Taken Down

CRANDON, Wis. (Associated Press) -- An off-duty sheriff's deputy went on a shooting rampage early Sunday at a home where seven young people had gathered for pizza and movies, killing six and critically injuring the other before authorities fatally shot him, officials said.

The gunman, Tyler Peterson, was 20 years old and worked full-time as a Forest County deputy sheriff and part-time as a Crandon police officer, said Police Chief John Dennee.

Three of the victims were students at the small town's high school, and three were recent graduates, a school official said. The gunman may have graduated from the same high school.

Peterson was not working at the time of the shooting, Sheriff Keith Van Cleve said.

The survivor was in critical condition Sunday night at a hospital in nearby Marshfield, according to a nursing supervisor. A Crandon police officer who fired back was treated for minor injuries and released.

Gary Bradley, mayor of the city of about 2,000, said earlier Sunday that a sniper killed the suspect, but Van Cleve would not confirm that officers shot the suspect.

Peterson was killed Sunday afternoon eight miles north of Crandon in the rural town of Argonne, Dennee said.

The circumstances of the shooting were hazy Sunday and it wasn't immediately clear what the gunman's motive was, but the mother of a 14-year-old victim said the suspect may have been a jealous boyfriend. The shooting occurred in a white, two-story duplex about a block from downtown Crandon.

"It was a pizza and movie party," Dennee said.

Three of the victims were Crandon High School students, said schools Superintendent Richard Peters, and the other three had graduated within the past three years.

"There is probably nobody in Crandon who is not affected by this," Peters said, adding that students would be especially affected. "They are going to wake up in shock and disbelief and a lot of pain."

Peters did not know whether Peterson had also graduated from the 300-student high school. But Crandon resident Karly Johnson, 16, said that she knew the gunman and that he had helped her in a tech education class.

"He graduated with my brother," she said. "He was nice. He was an average guy. Normal. You wouldn't think he could do that."

One of the dead was 14-year-old Lindsey Stahl, said her mother, Jenny Stahl, 39.

She said her daughter called her Saturday night and asked whether she could sleep over at a friend's house. Jenny Stahl agreed.

"I'm waiting for somebody to wake me up right now. This is a bad, bad dream," the weeping mother said. "All I heard it was a jealous boyfriend and he went berserk. He took them all out."

Dennee declined comment on whether Peterson had a romantic relationship with any of the victims.

A second victim was Bradley Schultz, 20, a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who was home to visit his friends, said his aunt, Sharon Pisarek.

"We still don't have many details, but from what they've told us, there was a girl next to him and he was covering her, protecting her," she said, sobbing. "He was loved by everybody. He was everybody's son. Senseless."

Marci Franz, 35, who lives two houses south of the duplex, said gunshots awoke her.

"I heard probably five or six shots, a short pause and then five or six more," she said. "I wasn't sure if it was gunfire initially. I thought some kids were messing around and hitting a nearby metal building."

Then she heard eight louder shots and tires squealing, she said.

"I was just about to get up and call it in, and I heard sirens," she said. "There's never been a tragedy like this here. There's been individual incidents, but nothing of this magnitude."

Her husband, David Franz, 36, said it was hard to accept that someone in law enforcement committed such an act.

"The first statement we said to each other was, how did he get through the system?" David Franz said. "How do they know somebody's background, especially that young? It is disturbing, to say the least."

The sheriff said he would meet with state Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen on Monday morning to discuss the case. Dennee said the state Department of Criminal Investigation will handle the case because the suspect was a deputy and officer.

The Crandon School District called off classes Monday.

The community, about 225 miles north of Milwaukee in an area known for logging and outdoor activities, is facing a trying time but is pulling together, Bradley said.

"We are a strong community. We always have been," he said. "This is agonizing, but we will prevail."

LOL, yeah I got "blamed" for a lot of cruises after that report :rolleyes1

I'm glad I got you started on something magical :cool1: See you onboard!

I'm glad my allergies only bother me early in the year. I'm not even doing open windows now. It's gotten real cold at night.

I'd like to get a digital SLR someday. I used to have a film one years ago but the digitals got so convienent that I stopped using it. I do miss the versatility though.

Yeah, I am looking forward to all the pics I am gonna get :thumbsup2 I am just a little worried about how she's gonna act down there. Only a few weeks ago she started with tantrums and now she wiggles and flips EVERYTIME I change her diaper or her clothes, she's starting to understand what NO means and she doesn't like it :sad2: And now that she's just starting to walk, she wants to be on the floor all the time and only likes being held for so long. I'm crossing my fingers big time!! ::yes::

Cass, we found in the parks a great place for Ellis to let off some steam was those little splash water areas - Donalds boat in MK, theres one in Epcot too.

Rubber floor with jets of water squirting up. Just remember a change of clothes:rolleyes1

Another cutie. :cutie: She looks like shes really concentrating - were you demonstrating how to use the Navigator or something:rotfl2:

Saturday I did the garage sale for over half the day. Then my parents brought Mackenzie back and hung out for a few minutes to give me a card and a really odd gift. Once they left is when it got weird. Scott started telling me how Kyle was already in trouble and had only been home about 30 minutes. Needless to say it did not go over well with me (I had forgotten to take my meds for 2 days) (just a tad unstable yesterday) I went up to take a nap because I did not want to deal with it. I did not get a nap instead we went to a Church Grand Opening. It was a free community event. Horrible, (again me unstable) they were estimating 10,000 people. I don't handle croweds to well. We waiting in line for one bounce house for an hour. I was so made. Well my allergies kicked into high gear standing in this weird grass they had. I was breaking out in hives. Mackenzie started have breathing problems. So we left there. It was well beyond dinner time and Scott had no clue where to go. So of course I got mad (and itchy) so I made him take me home so I could shower and I made him take the kids to dinner. When they all got home I blew up on the older 2 kids for how I have felt that past few years. I informed them I was tired of being thrown under the bus for everything that happens to them.

It was oh so much fun. Needless to say Scott made sure I took my med last night. I am half way normal today.

Mackenzie is starting to learn the sounds of the alphabet at school. So all day today we kept hearing her say B and then the sound for it. :thumbsup2 Well done Mackenzie. Keep at it - make it a game - eye spy is great for letter sounds. We used to play games in the house - ie he had to run and bring me something starting with a "b" - banana, book, etc, another is thinking of girls or boys names begining with every letter - start at A = Annabelle, B = Betty etc etc.

Stuff you can do in the car/plane etc. Keep them amused and they dont realize they're learning:thumbsup2

Karen, Lindy loo and the lady's in my life will be just fine with one of these....:lmao: :lmao:
