Of to LDD school. I am volunteering today. They start their book fair so I am helping with that today.
You're going to have the NC, VA, and MD people going with that one.
It is Charlotte. It is in North Carolina. That is one of their bigger hubs.
Are you leaving at 11:50 on the day we get off? You'll have to high tail to the airport then. Although, I'm assuming the US Air has check-in at the DCL terminal. That will save you a ton of time.
At least you got the non-stop on the way out. I would take a connection on my return, but going on vacation (especially a cruise), I want non-stop.
I guess I will wait and see if I hear from the TA today. If not I will be sending her an email next week. I don't want to get mean with her but I think I will have to get demanding on that fact that she needs to do her job instead of me doing it all. What the heck am I paying her for anyway. I deserve the commission off this one.
Just go over her head. Call the manager of that office and get it done with already.
I had to do that with a TA several years ago on a package to Mexico.
This just in!!!!
The wine tasting is set up for Oct 22 at 11am in Sessions.
There will be no charge for the 7 "drivers" and $12 per person for the 40 "winos"....oops ...I mean wine drinkers.
I got this letter from Dorothy today. As promised one month from cruise date.
I understand a few of you pulled out last month when we thought we had too many, but it looks like no one has to anymore. Please let me know if you still want out. I will email her with a final count this weekend.
I will not be attending myself anymore, but will get the information for Paige and Lynn who were gracious enough to assist me with this. A very special thank you from me to you two.![]()
I will post a messge on Yahoo too.
Party on....[/QUOT
Hi Nancy
Put us down for two. Chris and Lynn.
Thanks LL
I would be more proactive on this one. If it were me, I would call my TA and say you called Disney and they informed you they have made flight plans for you, but need to give the flight details to the TA. So, please call them today and call me with the details today so I can make my additional arrangements.
Hopefully your TA won't blow you off if he/she knows that you know the flight info is available! Good luck!
Go to a different office and tell them your problems and ask what you can do and if you can get it switched.
Otherwise, call the national travel desk and ask for a supervisor. Tell them the problem and ask what you can do.
1. Are the decks slippy? - it says wear non slip shoes. Do all you ladies take heels? - can you walk ok in them?
Karen, if you are in heels, then I would think that your hair is all nice and coiffed...if that is the case, stay away from decks 9 & 10. They are ridiculously windy and you will ruin your hair in 10 seconds! It gets all salty too! Feels horrible!!
2. What factor suncream do you take for the cruise? I dont normally bother in Florida in October. Would 15 be high enough?
I burn if I just step out in the sun so for me I cannot use anything less than 45! I smeared it on 4 times in 5 hours and I still had a bit of a burn. That Caribbean sun is nasty!!
5. what nights have dessert buffets?
One night there is a dessert buffet in Lumieres but right now I can't remember which night?? Im sure someone else will know.
10. What is sweet pizza in Palo?
I have a pic of it, get it later for you!
14. Brekkie and lunch - Topsiders v Parrot Cay v Lumieres? - which one and why?
I warn you now, if you eat at Parrot Cay, they WILL seat you with others. I didn't like this so I always skipped PC. Now if they could guarantee that I would sit with another KK, then that's another story!
Karen, here are the answers to your questions:
2. What factor suncream do you take for the cruise? I dont normally bother in Florida in October. Would 15 be high enough?
I usually use 30 for the first few days, then drop to 15. I seem to burn if I go 15 the whole time. DS is at 40 at first, then we drop him too. He tans up real nice though.
Good to know! I don't usually wear sunscreen (mostly because I take great pains to stay away from it! But we will probably need it in the Carribbean.
6. How come you put sweet and savoury on one plate at brekkie- eg waffles and sausage
- can I get 2 plates instead without looking greedy?
Only if you are sitting at Mike's table.Actually I will put syrup on both my waffle and sausage. Guess it is how I grew up. I'm sure you will disgust me with some British way of eating at dinner.

Here's where I am all with Mike. I cannot stomach the thought of my syrup getting on either my eggs or bacon/sausage. The whole idea turns me green!
7. Eggs - what do you call an egg which has a solid white but a runny yellow?
The best way to order it is "Over Medium". This will give you a "hard" white with a liquid yolk. "Over Easy" will have a somewhat runny white. "Over Hard" will give you a harder yolk.
Over Medium Rocks. Hard enough to be edible but soft enough to have something to sop up with your toast!
14. Brekkie and lunch - Topsiders v Parrot Cay v Lumieres? - which one and why?
Parrot Cay is only open for breakfast on Port Days (except Key West) because of the Character Breakfast. We've done it on port days so that we can just go down the two flights of stairs to get off the boat.
Topsiders is you choice for buffet on sea days. You can sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. Also, you are near the pools, so you can just roll there after putting the feed bag on.
Lumiere's is your choice for sit down breakfast. We've never done this one, although I'd like to see if it works into our schedule this trip. We've only did Lumiere's for lunch once and I would like to get back to it again this trip.
16. What time does the sailaway party finish? We have to get ready for early dining?
Not really sure. We don't stay up there that long for it, and with first dinners starting at 5:30-6:00, everyone bugs out early. I'd say stay at least until the characters leave.
Like I said once to you Karen, we can stay a little longer if you'd like. We know where you are so you won't be holding up your tablemates. Plus, the first night in particular, but mainly the first three, it takes forever to clear the lines at the restaurants. They have to show everyone where their tables are. If you/we head down at 5:55 for 5:45, we will not really be late.
Good to know!
17.Kids club - when do you take them on the first day if you have already registered and when do you get the pager?
You can get the pager in the Terminal, but go early, by 11:00 the line is really long and you might as well wait until you are on the ship.
You can not leave the kids in the club on the first day, it is only an open house. So no partying for the parents until Sunday. That is why parents shouldn't plan Palo for Saturday.
So I called DCL. There helped me a little but they can not give me much infor based on the fact that I have a TA and they can get fired if they give me info that a TA should be giving me. Drama I swear.
This is what she told me. On the 19th we will be leaving Phx. at 8:56 am on US Airway, direct flight into Orlando arriving 4:10 pm.
Comming home we will be US Airway leaving 11:50 and have a stop in Scharlet (sp) and then getting home around 3:50.
She can not give me reservation numbers or seat numbers. I could care less about the seat and reservation numbers. I need the flight numbers to book the shuttle and she could not give me that either.
I'm surprised DCL put you on an 11:50 when all their documents say to book your flights after 12:30.
