that is the proper closing image tag.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update on my Godson Spencer. He is still in the coma and now to add to all his other injuries and the coma, he has a bowel obstruction which will need surgery, his right lung will not inflate (another surgery needed) and he has pneumonia.

He has not responded at all to anyone except for a finger squeeze every now and then. Hopefully that is a little good news. It just seems he takes one step forward and two steps back.

Please continue to pray for him and send good thoughts his way.

Thanks everyone

Nancy-
Definitely stay positive! There have been a higher than usual number of serious motorcycle accidents around here this summer. Some of the recovery stories have been amazing. There is always hope. :grouphug:

I really hate airlines.
United changed our flight on us from Orlando to Chicago, so now we don't have seats (I had booked this flight with good seats about a year ago!)
so I just called them and all they have left is three seats....in different aisles.

Ok, so whoever is lucky enough to sit next to Kira gets to feed her and change her diaper and keep her entertained for 3 hours! :thumbsup2 Rob and I will be enjoying a little nap, so could you keep it down over there!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Cass-
I'm right there with you. Last Saturday we had to change all of our flights and lost all of our seat assignments. From MCO back to DAY we are all sitting apart. I'm sure you'll find someone eager to trade seats even though Kira is adorable!

Jeff, that's really cool - where did you get it? I usually hang out at the National Hurricane Center website and they have tons of information but I've never seen a map that's as easy to look at as the one you just posted.

I got it from Intellicast's website. If you go to their storm center page, http://www.intellicast.com/Storm/Default.aspx, you can access Hurricane information on the left hand side.

This image came from the "Atlantic Analysis" page, http://www.intellicast.com/Storm/Hurricane/AtlanticAnalysis.aspx.

If you look up in the left corner of that map, you will almost see where that big low is in Northern MN. That pressure is around 1004 MB and that is producing some pretty good storms in the upper Midwest.

I just think that unless something disrupts that low over in Africa (or it is going a different direction - which the weather moves east to west there, so it shouldn't), that is coming into the warm water at a low pressure. Where it goes depends on other factors, the big one being any upper level winds that would shear the top of the storm and prevent it from building. There doesn't look to be many clouds with it right now, so hopefully that is a good sign, but clouds are water, so they can build. Plus, there are a lot of clouds to the south of the low and the rotation is from counter-clockwise, so they could get brought in.

I just looked at the map again, and if you look to the southeast of the Low I've been talking about, there is another area of low pressure. I can't make out if that is 1008 or possibly as low as 1006. That one is closer to where the systems come off of the continent and into the ocean. I'd keep an eye on that too.

But again, I know nothing, so I would leave it the hands of NOAA for any real or reliable forecasts.

Also, unless either of these is extremely slow moving, I would think they'd be out of the way by the time October 20th rolls around. Now if it were 2-3 weeks out, I'd be concerned a little.

Oh, boy....
I hope it will be a good game that I bought those birthday tickets for Bob on November 11...

Thanks--I'll try that!!

Yes, Steve is right, you need the "/" before the last "img"

Do you remember what thread it was on. I've tried the search function and gave up!

Hmm, nope, I will search for it later when I put Kira to bed!

They said we "might" be able to get the bulkhead seat "if" they don't give it to someone else first

i think rob is in "dyerneed" of a vacation.

LOL! You have no idea. He needs a break from his cell phones and email and his business phones !!!:rolleyes1 I think he's on burnout, it's been 2 years since we've had any kind of vacation. :sad2:

Are you going with the other ankle? It ended up that the tattoo I got is bigger than I thought it would be so there is no way it would have even fit on my ankle anyway. I really really like the look of them on the tops of feet but I think THAT would be painful! When are you going to get #2? I'm thinking sometime this winter.

I have a tattoo on my chest that I made when I was 16, using India ink and a needle. (tried to do a rose, but gave up and did a simple butterfly)
It was very awful.
But it was still cool because back in the early 80's it was very uncommon for a girl to have a tattoo (that's what catholic schools did to me! I told my mother I didn't want to go!)
Anyway,

Years later I had to get rid of it or have it redone because it was not very nice looking.
It is cheaper and less painful to have it redone, and it is very nice now.... a rose.
It was more painful having it done professionally than when I did it myself, because I iced the area for a very long time first.

Anyway, now that I'm getting older and I see older women with tattoos that show, (at least mine isn't visable most of the time) I think
YUCK!
They're too old! They look terrible!

They look nice on young women, perhaps even middle aged women also, but just think how it will look when you're
80!

:sad2:

I'm thinking at some point I'd still like to have mine removed.

So anyway, just a thought.....
if you're getting a tattoo, be careful what you put on and think for a moment how it will look when it gets faded and you are in your 70's and 80's.

Karen, those pictures from Ellis's birthday are great:thumbsup2

It looks like it was a fun party and he must have had a great time!
