prayers for your daughter in law and father. your poor dad. he just doesnt understand. get some rest. Diane

Thanks Di,

I think I'm going to try to go to bed now. It's 11:30 and I have to get up early to get bloodwork done.

Catch everyone later.

Thanks for the prayers.

Sweet tart. :)

Just got off the phone with my mom. They have decided not to take my van to the airport. So we will be going by shuttle. I told her since they made that decision she can book the shuttle. She will be doing it tomorrow. She wants them to pick us up at 6:00am. So we will all be sleeping on the floor at her house the night before leaving.

AAAAAAAAAHAHHHHHHH!!!!!
This has not been a good night. My son just called and said our daughter-n-law is spotting and is hoping she is not losing the baby. She lost twins before Addison was born. She goes to the DR. tomorrow at 5.

Say a prayer for us. :sad2:

Just got another call. My Dad got combative at the nursing home and they just took him to the alzheimer's phsyc ward at the hospital.

He was trying to pull mom out of bed because they wouldn't let him sleep with her. He said "Come on, we're going home"

He then swung at a nurse and threw a blanket over the other nurse.

I was planning on going to bed early, but I might as well stay on the boards...
I sure won't be able to sleep.

I'm so sorry Robin. We will pray for your daughter-in-law

It must be so tough seeing your parents like this. Lots of  and pixiedust: for you!

Here is Mackenzies school picture this year.

Lynn does your niece still do manicures and pedicures? If so I was thinking about maybe going to her again and hopefully my manicure wouldn't be ruined within a few hours of getting home like it was last time :rotfl2: Maybe I'll even treat Rach and take her with me, than I won't have to worry about her having a bottle of nail polish laying around open when I get home :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I just need to figure out when to fit this in too.

How much do you think they would charge to do a little ones fingers and toes. I am thinking it would be a really neat thing to do with Mac right before we leave. Some mommy daughter time, that we probably won't get much of on the trip.

Hi Cheryl! How's it going? I popped off for a little bit to e-mail the kids' teachers about the time off from school (hoping to get their homework beforehand) and Shirley at The Perfect Gift to inquire about baskets for them. Feeling a tad bit accomplished this evening, but not nearly as accomplished as Carrie and Karen!!! (you two are my idols! :) )

Scott just emailed Kelsey and Kyle's teachers today also. We are hoping for the same thing. Homework to either take on the trip. Or maybe if they get it enough ahead of time they can do it during their Fall break. I really don't want Kelsey to bring her books along they are heavy.

So, if was to happen again would you let someone pee on it? :confused3

Lets put it this way. It won't happen again, I don't think I am getting in the ocean ever again. It was our honeymoon and I had this bite on my upper thigh that was as big as my thigh and was very painful to the touch. It hurt to wear pants or shorts. I spent most of the time in my PJ's or swim suit. It has scared me for life.

And with the diseases out there now there is no way I would let some stranger pee on me. I don't want some weird thing just because a Jelly Fish decides I am dinner for them.

Love the missing tooth :cutie:

It has been there a little over 2 years now. We were at dinner one night at a rest that had patio seating. She was climbing on a rock and fell off and broker her tooth in half in 2 different directions. Really did not cry at all when it happened. We noticed the one chip or crack that night when we got home. Took her to our dentist and he said it was not big deal unless it turned gray. 2 weeks went by and she would not eat or drink without crying. We finally took her to a ped dentist and he took an x ray and showed me the 2 breaks. He pulled it 2 days later.

Now I have noticed that the adult tooth is starting to come down and line up to come in. I don't know what to think. I am glad she will be getting her first big tooth but said to see the hole missing soon.

Just one more sign that my little girl is growing up. :sad2:

Finally caught up

It looks like I am all alone now so I am off to bed. I get the whole bed to myself tonight (well except for the dog) So I should sleep really well.

Just checked Scott's email and Kyle's teacher has already responded about the homework for the trip. We just sent that at about 3:00 today. Man she is fast. She will be sending it home ahead of time so he can work on it.

Carrie great to hear the teacher is giving homework ahead of time. Working in an elementary school office our rules state that if it is unexcused absence the teacher has the right to deny the work. All of my teachers do not follow this rule because they know how precious family time is. In fact with DD in HS now those rules state that she can't have homework and that she would have to do 1 Saturday school for every day she missed, which would be 5. When I had her IEP I told the teacher, psychologist, and her counselor that we were going on the cruise and I would like for her to start serving those days now (this was a month ago). The counselor said, no because she is going to be sick those days. So she will more than likely be bringing or doing some sort of modified project while she is "sick" that week.

When I took my DD in to get her finger nails painted I think I paid between $3-$5. It is a great thing to do with your daughter, they feel so grown up sitting there in the chair.:)

Well goodnight North Americans, good morning to all the UKer's
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
