are you going to Go to VH?

They have 2 shows here in Toronto in early October. I am taking Spencer and Vanessa to see Rush on September 19th -if Spencer likes it, i am going to buy VH tickets from Scalpers. he heard some music from 1984 the other day and LOVED it.

DH here...No, I found out they are here Nov. 23. That is opening day for the elk hunt I am going on. Enjoy Rush, I heard Getty Lee has not lost a step.

Lost count. I guess you shouldn't watch tv and try to remember how many posts you have left to finish your page huh?

I did it. I'm sure there is a blocking thing on here so you could have just made all my posts invisable and skipped that little escapade. Goodnight everyone.

I grew up in Southern California and lived with my mother who worked very hard at a time when single parenting was not a common thing. So money was scarse mostly.

One night I had a dream about this place. It was like a town and so colorful and clean and everyone was smiling. I was carrying a balloon and licking an all-day sucker. There were 4 other children there, which was very odd since I was an only child.

Two days later I turned 7 years old. The morning of my birthday my mother's boss and his wife and kids came and picked me up. My mother's eyes were filled with tears and I wasn't sure what was going on. I think I was a bit scared that i woudln't see her again. But we drove and drove and I got to know the kids as they were close in age.

We pulled into a parking lot and I realized it was Disneyland. I had never been but had of course heard of it. They bought us tickets (they had the color coded A B C D E ones then) and we went inside.

You can imagine my confusion as I was walking down the streets that I had dreamed about just days earlier. It wasn't until we were leaving later that night and I was carrying the balloon and eating the sucker that I realized that this was exactly the point that I remembered. Deja Vu.

That family did something special for me each year after that. They sort of adopted me I guess. I even spent summer vacations with them.

That's a wonderful memory!

I'm very suprised that you don't have more posts to your name since you have been here for so long...

Everyone used to chide me about rarely posting. I would scan over the posts of the day, but often not have much to say. Sooner or later, I got to know people (as well as you can online, anyway) and felt more comfortable about joining in on the conversations. Funny thing is that I started the thread thinking that it would be fun getting to know people prior to the cruise. But then when the thread grew to such a huge thing, I got somewhat shy.

Well that was sappy enough now wasn't it? No more of those stories for a while. lolol

I am still undecided about dinner. Maybe I'll just make some lumpia and rice. Sound good?

Lumpia??? OMG!! It's been years since I had lumpia. I had a friend from the Phillipines who used to make them and they were delish!!!:yay:

Are they all still going on the same cruise? That is so odd.... You didn't plan it or anything?

I haven't heard from Evie since that day on the boards. I wonder if she is still going?:confused3

this whole page thing is very time consuming. How many of you have a whole page to yourself?

I have at least 2 pages to myself but there are some others who have more.:cheer2:

Steve, I'm glad you got over your shyness!!

Anniversary dinner:

Cheddar-Beer Fondue (We do live in Wisconsin after all!)
Beef Fondue
Chocolate-Mint Fondue
1 Bottle of Champagne

Stuffed, slightly tipsy, and a tad bit randy--too bad we can't get rid of the kids for a while.

Ok KKers...here's my silly dilemma with door signs and t-shirts....

My color printer has been sitting on my desk for a year gathering dust. I don't use it. DH has a black and white laser we use for printing, since I never print in color. I used to print photos at home, but it's just as cheap to get them developed, and I get a nicer picture.

So, my printer needs ink. Black and color cartridges, which adds up to $50! Yikes! I'm not sure I want to invest the money in ink.

if I don't buy ink, I could probably have a few door signs printed at office Max or wherever, and just pay for the color copes. BUT, will they give me a hard time with the clipart images (copyright issues)? If I did this I probably would not do t-shirts at all.

Anybody got any good advice? Should I just suck it up and buy the ink?

My DH, by the way, thinks I'm a bit nuts doing all this stuff anyways...he thinks I'm doing way too much fussing for a vacation!

Here is my thought. And it is just a thought. But if you want the door signs you could design it yourself and then email it to me and I could print them for you and either send them to you in the mail or bring them with us and give them to you at the DIS meet. It is up to you. The offer is out there on the shirts also. I agree that $50 is a lot to spend on ink and then turn around and buy shirts and transfer paper. I do take the easy way out on the door signs though. I print them on paper, laminate it and then use put magnets ont he back of it.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY VICTORIA

How was DC??

Thank you very much! DC was perfect--the weather was great--walked and saw a ton of stuff and we saw the National Symphony on the lawn of the Capitol as the sun set--it was magical. Will I meet you on Sunday??

There are 7 of you on the board right now and only 4 posts in the last hour.

Are you all watching BB right now?

I wish, I'm stuck at work. Have been checking Morty's though. I know who got evicted and Nominated. Sad day in BBland unless you're a Donato fan.

BB sucks now. They're doing the second eviction right now.

We'll know in about 2 minutes.

Unfortunatley not a meet this time, we have tickets for the Packer game, I was really hoping another date would work for everyone, but I guess I'll have to wait to meet some of you. DS is a huge Philly fan, so he is so excited to be going to the game, we took him to the Monday night game a couple years ago, that was the last time Philly came to WI. You guys are going to have so much fun, it was great when we met some in July. I'll be thinking of you guys, what Time are you meeting?

Not a Disney Pic, but I just wanted to share this one with you all. Kristin is on the right with Tony right next to her. Then guess who the other little boy is? If you guessed her boyfriend Jesse, you are right. Jesse and Tony have been best friends since Kindgergarten and now it looks as if Jesse will be a new son for me soon. (At least they are talking about marriage...probably more than Tony & Stacy are).

By looking at this picture, I guess it was just meant to be.

Nancy.....this is soooooooo sweeeeeeet!!!!! I love it!!! :cutie:

O.K., depending on who wins HOH next will determine who will win the whole thing.

If one of the two get it, the two will go to the end.
