Rose--this has been freaking me out ever since I read your theory. I am a die-hard Coke fan--Pepsi is way too sweet--and I don't want to be lumped into your categories. :scared1: (Wisconsin is usually a Blue State!!)

Oh, not to worry Victoria, it's nothing serious and doesn't always hold true.

Either way I'd wouldn't hold it against anyone, everyone is still an individual person, and I have friends on both sides...

Even though I'm a pepsi fan and also a democrat,
I'll drink Coke too because there are lots of places that don't serve pepsi
and either one goes fine in a rum and coke!

That's quite an accomplishment building his own:cool1:

I've been building my own since the mid '90's. I just can't seem to get into store bought computers.

Let Sean know that I am an Avid computer gamer. I live for the First person shooters. but have been known to play a RPG or two. Haven't every gotten into Warcraft but have played online with Toontown. (Got into that because my son wanted to play, then wanted to play with someone.) Lately, I have been playing Counterstrike Source. I've gotten a morbid fascination with the Zombie Mod servers. I play as cannonfodder. I'm getting ready for the Left4Dead game that should be coming out in Nov/Dec.

I've been to both ShowDownLan's in San Jose. but I have to miss the one coming up in Pittsburg this Sept. (Cruise funds come first!) If he ever has a chance to go to one of these, tell him they are crazy fun. 3 solid days of gaming with some of the biggest computer geeks in the nation.

He can come on over and talk to my DH...he's a big computer geek, and he plays some games online too! He has also built several computers on his own...he can usually do it cheaper that way.

Oh, I can't find the post again, but thatnks, Steve, for the suggestion. I will look for that program online.

Sean says he mostly plays
Anarchy Online
Battlefield 2142
and Oblivion (but this one not online)

Heather thank you for the card:hug: and the print outs off the dis tag etx, what a help they will be.... normally I am such a planner and list person, but to be honest the holiday is kind of sneaking up on me, and im not ready for it... well im ready for the sun, sand, drink etc... just not the distag gifts, ironing etc... ( sometimes being organised is not good, I had all the distag gifts ( some even wrapped) and of course they all got flooded!!! )

Good to hear from you Linda. Ring me if you need anything.

Heather

Do they have computers on board? If so, that may be our solution/compromise...

Unfortunatley yes!

Last cruise, I bought the internet package so that we could go online anytime on the ship.
Sean spent too much time on there.

This time I've already told him that I'm not paying for it, he should just be enjoying the cruise and the sun and food, etc, etc.

I told him if he really wanted it he could pay for it himself
(I could see Bob's eye's rolling at this suggestion, he HATES that Sean is on his computer about 14 hours a day...not kidding)

Anyhow, wisely enough Sean decided that he wouldn't bother this cruise, he'd try to live without it for one week. And not because of the money, he just thought that he'd do something else for a change.

Smart boy!:thumbsup2

I am referring to the whole Jim Jones thing from back in the 70's when all his followers drank the "kool-aid" and committed suicide in Jonestown, Guyana.

People of the left tend to drink the "kool-aid", i.e. just follow the "talking head" leaders. Not much self thinking.

Not trying to start a political debate on the thread, so I'll end this here.

And I was talking about something else:

The Electric Kool Aid Acid tests....
Ken Kesey ...................................

That's why jokingly I said I couldn't remember the color:lmao:

Ok, so I never did that Kool Aid thing at all JK
At least not in that form....

right.....
just like I never inhaled either.

I thought the packages were very expensive. We don't bother. There's too much to do anyway...so why tuck yourself away when you could be out enjoying yourselves.

Anyone remember the old DCL video on their site. It is about a 2 minute ad type video?

I remember watching it almost daily before our first cruise and would get me excited about the cruise.

Well, DCL redid their website and took the video down.

But thanks to You Tube, I was able to find a version of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQiRPJXHMBo

O.K., maybe not the most exciting thing, but just brings back memories of our first cruise and the year leading up to it. All the planning and such.

They just have a way of doing the music and video to make you want to buy their product.

I agree too...and I think DH will find enough to do without the computer...especially if DS is in the clubs! We can actually have some adult time!

Actually, that's one thing that sold me on the Disney cruise, and I'm hoping it pans out. DH and I would really like a mixture of couple and family time.

Rob and all the other ice-cream fans, you better sit down for this one.

Read this on the "Live" report of the WB Trans-Atlantic cruise happening right now:

I have been trying to start this thread for 8 days. The internet has been awful and there are no Mickey Bars.

And another post:

If its any consolation I was on the 28th July med cruise and we had no mickey bars either - they gave us chocolate pirate bars - which were good, but not the same.

Maybe they can't restock their supplies of Mickey bars while in the Med....hopefully they'll be back for our cruise. I've never had one...

Ok...I must stop surfing the web.If I don't, I will be broke.

Let me preface this by saying I rarely go in to Gymboree. They're very pricy for kids clothes (even sale stuff) and never seem to have much I like for little boys.

Of course, today I go looking for something else and found this:

http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_c...T<>prd_id=845524445968632&bmUID=1188325547730

A whole collection of pirate-themed clothes, including little boy briefs! I cannot believe I'm even thinking about it, but I may have to wander in to my local Gymboree tonight to see some of this stuff in person...sigh...

Ohhhh, too cute--maybe I will stop in next week after school starts!

I am one person that won't do both--if a place doesn't have Coke then I have to switch to Mt. Dew. A little extra caffeine never hurt me!

I'm sure that is the issue. I'm just trying to set panic into all the Mickey Bar lovers.

Surprised though that Disney didn't send some via air to Spain prior to the Repo Cruise leaving if they knew a week or so earlier that they were out.

Not good customer service.

But hey, they're only mickey bars.

I would be interested in those Pirate bars though. That would be cool for Pirate night. pirate: :thumbsup2

I'll go diet slice before diet pepsi, but will stomach diet pepsi if it is the only diet.

Although, diet sprite is much better than diet slice.

I do drink diet dew in the mornings though.

did anyone see entertainment tonite last night?
they did a piece on our own cass and rob!!!
its seems cass has sold the rights to her konked kruisers video (the one with plankton)to abc(disney)
and they are going to make it into a major motion picture.:rolleyes1
it was a deal worth over 7 figures!!
it would appear rob and cass are not moving to another location in canada but instead are moving to hollywood.

OH! OH! Can I get Tom Hanks to play me?

Sean says he mostly plays
Anarchy Online
Battlefield 2142
and Oblivion (but this one not online)

I really like BF2142, I don't own it. I was one of the first people outside of the developers to play it, at Showdownlan 2006. This past Showdownlan I was one of the first in the US to see Left4Dead. I didn't get to play that one because the line was long and I thought that I could hit it late and night when fewer people were around. Little did I know, that Valve was going to be packing up and leaving. I picked my head up from my computer and they were gone! Awesome game though.

I don't want any of us looking at a computer the whole week! :)

Agreed to a point. And when I can find a compelling reason to remain wired, I'll let you know what that point is.
