I decided I was going to start in our closet (which was a diaster) to look for garage sale stuff and my tag bags. I cleand and organized it and found some garage sale things. I wraped about 10 x-mas gifts (yes I am ahead of schedual). Our closet looks wonderful. Of course the last bag I went through had my tag bags in it. I found them. It took me about 2 hours to do our closet

I'm impressed...I was working on organizing our bathroom when we got all the rain last week...then I had to clean the basement instead. It looks like we're going to get some sun this week, so maybe I can get back to that project.

Then I moved onto packing. I now have both large suitcases completly packed. :cool1: All that is left is a medium suitecase, the carry on's and all the toiletry items. I never knew how hard it would be to pack for 5 people.

I only have to pack for 3, but it does seem like a huge job! DS is 4, so I need to think of things I'll need for him when we travel (snacks, quiet toys, stuff for downtime, etc.) which makes the list a bit longer...

Do you guys mind me asking an off-topic question?

If you were going on a trip and you had tickets for an evening flight, but now found out you may be able to leave in the early afternoon instead, what would you do?

a. Pay the $100 change fee now, plus the $67 for the difference in the fare, per ticket; That's a lot of money on top of all you've spent for the cruise already and more you need to spend on drinks, excursions, gifts, etc. I wouldn't do this.

b. Pay $30 per ticket the day of the flight and get a "confirmed" stand-by seat (meaning if a seat is available, you can have it for the $30);

c. Don't pay anything and hope you get a seat on stand-by, but take the seat they give you;

d. Do nothing and keep the evening flight.I guess I'd just stick with this. Then you don't have to be in standby mode all day waiting to see if your plans change. I guess that's just how I am. I could have changed mine to going out the night before.... Friday, but decided to come in on Sat. AM just to save costs.

Also, there are only 31 seats left on the flight in the afternoon.

:coffee:

For me it would depend on where I was going. If it was worth getting in early or not. If I was traveling by myself or with others. If I was traveling with others and really wanted to be in early I would go with option b. If I was by myeself then I would go with option c.

Hey Rose,

I was thinking about your whole Coke/Pepsi analogy.

Wonder if it has anything to do with the color of the cans? Coke is Red and Pepsi is Blue. Just a thought.

Interesting!

I just observed co-workers and friends and noticed that the Republican ones tended to drink Coke and the Dems... Pepsi.....
perhaps the coloring is some subliminal choice?

Also I thought about that Coke is the older/original cola product
Pepsi.... is the "new generation"

LIke I said..... doesn't always hold true, I just really like to people watch and try to guess things about them.
Bob thinks I'm crazy and unfair to do this, that you can't judge like that, but
hey.... it's just a fun quirky thing I do, don't strictly stick to it, I know that everyone is different.

I got mine today too!! Thank you Jeff. Sending money your way tomorrow, ok?

Also, I'm a diet coke drinker but it isn't the color it is that diet pepsi is flat and sweeter.

Ok, so do you tend to lean to the right politically?

Again, I'm not good with diet drinks.... only the main coke and pepsi

My DH is definitely on the conservative side, yet drinks diet Pepsi, and before that, regular Pepsi...and I'm more liberal than he is and I like diet Coke!

oh I forgot I even went through Kyle's room last night. His mom wanted all her clothes for him back so I managed to do that and find clothes for the sale also.

I also had a good idea (I think) for a fish extender.

Instead of a typical wall hanging-type organizer, how about a trick-or-treat bag?? Since we're sailing so close to Halloween anyway, I think I'll just hang a cute trick-or-treat bag from my fish! DS has a cute one with Tigger on it, but I may not be able to convince him to share....;)

I was looking at some pics on the DISboard and someone had a Christmas stocking for a December cruise...and inspiration hit!

Wow, what an excellent idea!
And they'll be readily available for purchase right before we cruise,
no ordering or making fish extenders!

I like being a trend-setter :cool2:

Little DD is also 4 so I am going through the same thing. I feel like I have to pack twice as much just for her.

Ok, I am so broke, don't know how I'm affording this one, but just purchased those Steelers vs Browns tickets for Bob's birthday.

Steelers are his favorite team and he's said he's never been to a game, and only 1 pro game in his life....I think he said Giants.

Anyway, Sunday 11/11... 1pm
(11 is my favorite number.... 11/11 is my email name too, and both Bob and I were born in the 11th month of the year..... cool huh?)

So we've got corner end zone seats lower level.
I paid $537 for them.
Is that insane?

I spent more than half of yesterday researching the seats and comparing web site prices and auctions.

Now I have to budget how I'm going to pay it off!
Then there's parking too! (perhaps we'll just park downtown and take the shuttle....much much cheaper)

Anyhow...
even with post cruise sadness, Bob will surely be happy with this birthday present.:thumbsup2

Ok, here we are arriving in Grand Cayman this morning!

Here's a picture of that pirate ship I think many of you are doing an excursion on.
