ill keep an eye out for him. will he be parasailing also? 10:30?

Yup, last time he was scared about it.
He HATES rides....
but they made us go up in tandem because he only weighed 80 pounds and I weighed about 100.

Well, he LOVED it!

This time he wants to go alone

But he only weighs 106 now and I'm 109.
they might make us go together anyway.

Certainly they'll let Bob go on alone, he's just over 200 lbs.

Hmmm, how about Robin?

I've given Bob a foot soak, and massage.

yes, she loves it. she never had a pedicure though. she never had a manicure till a few months ago on a business trip with her boss (shes a girl)
come to think of it, why did she need a manicure when i wasnt around?
im always massaging her feet and back. but i cant stand getting them.
(or course maybe one of those oriental massages. hmmm)

Hi everybody. Just an FYI...FL resident rates still are not out for our cruise.........My TA said that DCL told her they should be out in about a month. Sorry if this only relates to my family, but I thought I'd share just in case any of you are FL residents.

Have a great evening all! I think I'll finish off all of these boxes in my house tonight!!

church pants!! because they are holey(sp)right? i get it. im not as dumb as i look.:rolleyes1

Glad you caught that. I would've been thinking...hmmm????:confused3

That reminds me of a movie - does anyone remember Tom Hanks in 'Big' where he goes to the Christmas(?) party and eats the baby corn like big ears of corn. I think there was shrimp and a tomato dip.

Heather

That scene and the one where the chick is staying overnight at Tom's apt and after she tells him that she's staying he runs into the apt and says: "A slumber party....great....but I get the top"!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ok, so here's what the problems were, both actually related.

This print package came with 5 sheets of transfer paper but only 2 sheets of overlay paper.

You print the design face up on the transfer paper, peel off the backing stick on the shirt and then put the overlay paper on top and iron for around 1 -2 minutes......

They say that you can use the overlay paper a few times per sheet.

HA.

So I had only done 1 t-shirt, mine, when I started Sean's.

When I went to peel his off the overlay paper severly stuck to the image.

I tried to reiron it off with the other overlay paper but didn't work.

So I spent 45 minutes scraping off the paper off of his transfer with my fingernail.
It came off but it also scratched the logo.... although it doesn't look too bad, it makes his t-shirt looked distressed, kind of cool,

But anyway this is a big problem and inconvenience.

Problem one paper really doesn't work well when used multiple times
Problem two.... they really should give you more overlay paper in the first place!

But all in all, they're done and look ok I think.

Too bad Rose. I never had any problems with the dark transfer paper and I made 7 shirts with front and back transfers and still only used the two sheets of tissue paper for all of them. I thought it was the easiest thing I ever ironed onto anything. I also used 100% cotton shirts for all the shirts.:)

Shucks missed that one...Getting prepared for a 11 day trip to Gatlinberg Tenn on the bike..First long trip...See if we can ride a long time without any "injuries"....Prelude to the 2008 Trip To Milwaukee...Hope I spelled that correctly...:lmao:

Walt

Close friend to Cinnimike...:grouphug:

Travel safe!!

Heather--I love that movie!! Whenever we see baby corn my DH and I always talk about that scene. :)

No, Mike... you misunderstood me.

You said you wouldn't let anyone touch your feet...
I said how about Robin, meaning wouldn't you let her do it?

Hey Nancy,

What brand was your transfer paper?

Or do you think I ironed it too long?

On a worse note.... Bob just stopped over at lunch time and I showed him the shirt I did for him, when I held it up, I noticed it was very cockeyed.

I hadn't noticed it this morning! UGGHH! I'm going to have to get him a new shirt and get some more transfer paper.

Definitely going tandem. We've tried for SO many years to parasail, when we finally do it, we are doing it together! ::yes::

What about you guys???

Going tandem with my 10-year old son. :thumbsup2 DH did it alone on our last two cruises--so he says its my turn this time. We will both be screaming like little girls!! :lmao:

When I got upgraded in '06, we were NOT prenotified. The system didn't have ANY rooms for people and then after a day or so, they came back on and mine was upgraded from Cat 9 to Cat 7. Some people went from 9 to 6 and there were other upgrades. I still have my cheat sheet from that cruise. I will see if there were more or less rooms availabe than we have now.

Also, my TA was not notified either.

We did have her call DCL because we were put into 6138 and 6134 was still available (it is a Secret Verandah Room). They would not move us. We were still happy to get a free balcony.

Our room/cruise was booked late (we switched to it about 6 months out) and we did have a specific room picked out. So the why and how of upgrades is a total mystery. Or just dumb luck.

Bummer, I had heard some online state that they were called. For me it's not such a big deal, I figure that a veradah anywhere on the ship is better than our porthole. But I can see why some would not want to be moved.

Karen, before you pass on that balcony room you're going to get because you don't like the location, trade with me. I will give you my SPH for your balcony regardless of where it is located.

I think that Karen was concerned that she would loose her choice inside cabin on Deck 5(?) in return for a not so nice porthole on Deck 1. I'd have to agree with her. That really does not seem like much of a trade up and I would, If I were her, appreciate the veto of that particular move.

Starting on my T-Shirts today. I'll probably do our Door signs as well. (Just got back from Michaels)

I use the Avery Dark Transfers. I only ironed mine for about 1 minute, maybe less. I really had no problems with sticking, fading, peeling, cracking, etc. I thought it was simple, simple. IMHO. :)
