we got our invite for our grandaughters 1rst bday party. sept 1.(her bd is the 4th) (mine is the 3rd) its a blues clues theme. we cant wait. hard to believe she is a year old already.

I remember Blues Clues.... I think we still have a board game upstairs with that title. My oldest was a Barney kid, my youngest hit many things...blues clues as one of them.

Our oldest granddaughter Meghan loved Blues Clues. She watched it all the time. She is a very smart kid. Time does fly. Diane

Well I won't be here long lingering today... Maybe this afternoon. Off to work... need to be able to afford these smoothies that everyone is talking about.... I dont even recall anyone drinking a smoothy... Do they put little umbrellas in them or something????????

Perhaps it was because I was finishing off the wine package since no one told me you could take some off with you... I felt it my personal challenge to finish each and every bottle off....

Woohooo....Another gift for me. But no shrimp....geez... I'll go for the bars... do they look like Mickey? hahahhaa

Now I'm in danger of people saying "oh here she goes again, boring us with September"

When we went last time - the reception was quite nice. They had a buffet (what more food?) with shrimp, and free cocktails. There was a question card to fill in for a free prize draw.

It was a type of 'get to know your officers and crew' session.

One child had a chocolate milk in a sundae glass with whipped cream and chocolate sauce drizzled over the top and a cherry on top and it looked like a chocolate ice cream sundae but it was milk. That looked very cool...

They can say what they want but Barney did teach our kids a lot very quickly.

And I am afraid that I still know way too many of those Barney songs...

So now I am off for real, and I will sing my Barney songs all day now since they are bouncing around in my head along with Blues Clues. hahaha

Thanks Mike. I am over daughters house. Been up since 5:30 AM. Have to log off. Have to wake up kids. Today is Weight Watchers day. Then we will go to lunch then to movies to see Underdog. Kids have less than two weeks before school starts. Asiah first grade and Elijah fourth grade. cant believe how time flies. Diane

That reminds me of a movie - does anyone remember Tom Hanks in 'Big' where he goes to the Christmas(?) party and eats the baby corn like big ears of corn. I think there was shrimp and a tomato dip.
