Hi everyone!

I hope you are all doing well, enjoying your summers. I am so far out of the cruise thread there's no way I'll ever catch up. I wanted to stop by and say that I did sign up for the Dis tag but I don't think I can pull my part together. If I am taking up a spot that someone else would want and do better at than me, would it be bad if I backed out? There's just too much going on right now and the cruise has become one of the last things on my To-Do list.

I'll try to re-join the thread soon, hopefully.

Abby

Is everything ok?

Ok, I've stalled enough, must make dinner again.

It never ends!:headache:

Oh, to be on that cruise and have someone cook for me for every meal and put my napkin on my lap too!:thumbsup2

Pick me, Pick me. I want to have someone cook for me and do my napkin also. There are times where looking at a paper towel next to my plate just does not cut it. I am so burnt out of cooking that Mackenzie had left overs with DH before he left and I will be having cereal in a little bit.

Done stuff like that before..

Now that Sean is 16 going on 17 sometimes I tell him I don't feel like cooking or eating perhaps, and the kitchen is his, make whatever you want.

I mean he must prepare for college and after.

He really doesn't cook much at all....
perhaps a chicken pot pie in the oven, or he'll make himself Lipton noodles or ramen noodles, something really simple.

Actually, I am surprised when he eats at all.
Usually he's so wrapped into his computer games and chatting with his friends that he barely pulls himself away for hours:sad2:

Hi Carrie!!!! It does seem to be quiet on here tonight. I will be on here just a little bit tonight. I'm tired and going to try to go to bed early.

Hey, Lucky ME:yay:

I got my espresso maker to steam again:woohoo:
I just kept trying and finally whatever was stuck unclogged! YIPPEE!
I can go back to making my own homemade lattes!
:coffee: :surfweb:

Alex is watching Brother Bear 2 on the Disney Channel. She is asking about the Northern Lights. Does anyone have any pictures she can see? We could look it up on the internet but I'm sure some of you northerners could help and it would be much more interesting to her to know someone that has seen them!!!

Me too, off to bed I go.

Night night everyone.

Hey Brenda, I finished HP and the 1/2 blood Prince! :thumbsup2
I'm ready for the final chapter(or so she says).

I hated that ending, worst ending of all the books,
BUT
I don't believe it do you?
I think we'll find out differently in Book 7.

WHAAAAAAAA????????   Your kidding?????????

Robin here...

That's pretty much what happened. I was leaving anyway... he just had to be a smart A**.

11:30 last night... Claude got home. He proceeded to tell me Mom & Dad had dr.'s appointments two days next week. Plus the funeral home people was coming one day, so they could get that all paid.

I told him, I was on the phone this morning at work for 2 1/2 hrs. checking out private duty home for mom & dad while we were away. He said, I can't think about that right now. I said, we really need to. We should have done it 2 wks ago when mom came home from the hospital, because it takes 2 to 3 wks.

I proceeded to say... We're not obligated to use it. At least we'll have a back up. He then started arguing and said "just go home" "get out of here". I said... We need help. We can't do this on our own.

He then said sarcastically... "you don't have to worry about next week. I have it covered. You left it all on my shoulders anyway." I then said, "your in your own little world. I said on Tuesday... We can't continue this pace, we need some outside help!!! Dad's Dr. even told me get some help or you guys will be sick before you know it."

He then said (sarcastically again)... "I was under the impression you weren't going to help anymore." I said..."Well, you're an idiot!!! I never said that! I said we need help. These decisions should be made as a family. Where do you get off making them on your own? You just want to play the martyr... Well have fun handling it all on your own."

And I left.

What a butthead!

Anytime there is a problem my older brother & Older sister always call me.

My older brother doesn't get along with Claude (Claude's the youngest). (they're both bull headed) And my sister is so passive, she won't open her mouth. But, I'm sorry... When I see something is wrong and it's going to harm someone, I'm going to speak up.

I will continue to call Mom on the phone. She has no clue any of this happened. She wouldn't remember it anyway.

One thing about it. I got the next week off. Cassie will be home from Dayton tomorrow and we're going to enjoy the week. We're going down to get her. I could use a road trip. Maybe we'll just keep going south all the way to Florida. :woohoo: No stress.

Oh boy....
I had to do that too. They went over to speak with my uncle(who lived with his mom) about his verbally abusing her, and he knew that I had something to do with it.
Actually when I took Gram to get her POA changed to my name and change her will and such, she spoke privately with the attorney's (so they wouldn't think I was coercing(sp?) her. She admitted how he shouted at her and wouldn't help her when she needed to go to the hospital (many times) and told her rotten things like "I'm waiting for you to die so that I can have the house!"...... anyway, in that room there was a woman that worked for a senior agency, something about Elder Abuse. So that woman actually took it upon herself to go speak with my uncle. It was awful, I was so scared he'd come after me.

But in the end, he did move out and I did sell Gram's house and moved her to an adult home, but he was so pissed he and my mother took the furnace out of her home.
Yes! He stole the furnace.

Believe it or not!
My family should be on Jerry Springer!

Ending.....
My uncle died of a heart attack less than a year later.

Gram lived for 4 more years.:)

Robin here...

That's terrible. Sorry to hear that. I alway say... you have to remember, there's always someone else who has it worse than you do.:wizard: :wizard:

Hi all,

Been busy as usual around here. Finally got our cruise paid off, just have to finish paying off our Poly stay prior to the cruise. :cool1:

Tomorrow (tonight) is our 105 day mark to book excursions & Palo. Hoping we get the APL rotation, DH & I are going to do a Palo dinner on night #2 (hoping that's the Parrot Cay night.) Looked at the menus on Barb's site, and that's our least favorite menu.

We were going to do the Stingray Observatory excursion on Grand Cayman, but I noticed DCL didn't have it on their website anymore (it's in the book they sent us.) I called DCL and they told me they stopped doing it as of Jun 22 (or Jun 29, can't remember now.) We'll see tonight when I pull up the excursions online.

Not really going to set my clock for 3am tonight. Just figured I'd log on sometime after 3, whenever I wake up.

Going to have a 3rd B'day party for our DD tomorrow. Should be fun. Keeping it very low key, just us and the grandparents.

Have a good day tomorrow!
Tina

Cass - my kids were watching videos on your web site this evening - they loved them.

Question for you - we bought a JVC, 30GB HDD cam corder at christmas and have had nothing but problems with it. Difficult to use and just overall a frustrating gift. So we are looking to trade it in before we go on the cruise - any suggestions on which type of camcorder to get that is easy to use.

We appreciate all advice - from Cass or anyone.

Thanks
Jessalynn

Hmm, its interesting to note that you're having problems. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of problems are you having?
There's a lot of different choices for you, it all depends on your budget.
The Sony's have always been good to us and a HDD is the next type we'll get, though I doubt it'll be in time for this years cruise; unless I get a really big order.
Anyone need RF connectors?

Here's a question for everyone:

What is the worst gift you ever received?:confused3

For my 40th birthday I received a windshield wiper delay device from Chuck's youngest brother and his wife. But, in their defense, they did get me another gift that same birthday. It was one, I repeat one, car mat.:rotfl2:

Um, its hard to say, which year do you want to know about?
My parent's hearts are in the right place just that its just, um, who knows.
After going to Stingray City on the RCCL trip in 2003, I fell in love with Stingrays. So the next birthday I got a Manta Ray statue from my parents.
Last year after getting Lilo & Stitch, they got me a BBQ (which is awesome!) and a Golden Retriever statue that had Stitch barking at it. So we used it to stop the cats from running around the back of the TV and A/V set.
There's more, but its painful to remember.

I am back, multi tasking as usual but I though I could have DIS up in the background. It was a fairly good night. I got to teach Mac how to play go fish, and we finished her autograph book. We even laid on the floor and watch tv while I got to hold her. Then after she went to bed I got to shampoo the carpet in the living room, joy that is always fun. Now I can not go in there until the carpet is dry. :guilty:

Tina-
I woke up about an hour ago (1am EST) and figured I'd check the cruise site to see if anything opened up as far as being able to reserve Palo, shore excursions, etc. Everything was available to book. I thought that 3am was the magic time too?? The only thing I couldn't do yet was complete the On-Line registration and Payment Authorization. But I got the kids registered for the clubs, Palo, and shore excursions booked. I thought that was interesting, and I'm glad I don't have to wake up again in an hour!
