Wow forgot to say

NEXT INSTALLMENT on the SCHOOL!!!!

We contacted our local conservative councillor and he contacted a business colleague of hi, who is the director of education for our area. He called me and asked for all my notes to be e mailed to him, which I did.

He then phoned us at home at 6pm on a Friday to express his deepest concerns about how we have been treated. He has assured us he will investigate EVERYTHING :) and get back to us by Wednesday.
I said I wanted to speak to Head teacher, however she has declined to attend meeting with us. His reply was music to my ears.... " I have the power and authority to insist she attends a meeting, if I deem it to be necessary !"

feel things might actually be getting to a climax at last !!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
This is great news Linda, you guys have handled yourselves so well, and they so poorly that things are bound to go in your favor. hang in there, you are doing a great job. i don't know if I could have stayed as calm as you.:grouphug:

Hi Folks!

I'm back! - temporarily anyway. I'm at the gym, just swam and did 30 mins of exercise and after 2 days of humping I thought I'd check in on you all and makle sure you're behaving yourselves. I've just caught up to page 850 so I have a lot of reading. The gym doesnt shut til late - ('m in the restaurant), so I should be able to catrch up a bit more.

The move went ok...

Saga - the night before - the piece of paper off the council still ahdnt been sorted. At 5.45pm it was all off, by 5.48pm it was all back on again - talk about stress:scared1:

Anyway, the rain held off mostly so we werent soggy humpers! We are quite sorted so far. The house is way bigger than I remembered (which is a good thing as we still have the storage unit to empty:scared1:

PPS...Nobody deserves to be sent to Coventry or Birmingham for that matter either.....:rolleyes1

Hey! - I still live near Birmingham you know!

The trip across country was fine....long. We are here in Louisiana, and we've gotten a bit of bad news. Rob's mom's breast cancer is back. She had a lumpectomy yesterday and found out today that the lump is malignant. The surgeon thinks he got it all but they will do a mastectomy tomorrow. She went through this almost exactly 7 years ago. It seems the cancer has decided to recur in the other breast. Please say a prayer for her. If it is like last time, she will be fine, but we are concerned nonetheless.

Also, Rob has gone to VA to get us a house on base and alas, there are none. So we are homeless until we travel there at the end of July..haha.

Paige

Hi Paige, glad you finally made it. So sorry to hear about Robs Mum - fingers crossed and she's in my prayers.

What will you do abnout a house:confused3 - you can share mine but its a bit far to travel each day:hug:

ok, off to read the next 10 pages.!

Ok, another 10 pages wizzed through...you really need to post less til I'm back on line:goodvibes

Actually if you go to Ebay, I think there is a link to a "buy it now" from a company in California. I believe they are around $40 for a boys tux. That is less than 1/2 the rental cost.

BTW, got mine last week. I'm ordering different pants. The ones I ordered were too big. That's a good thing. And no, I didn't order mine from that company, got it from Kohl's with mega discounts.

You'll be the posh ones at dinner then;)

I don't get it as usual. But usually it is AFEG that i don't understand!!! i will definitely be just smiling and nodding my head at him!!!!! Probably that Australian girl too. Hope it is dry for her move tomorrow!!!

G'day!:lmao:

This one Rob says is one of those photos where you can almost catch a glimpse of what she may look like when she grows up...if that's the case methinks she's gonna be gorgeous

June_20070626_0335.jpg

Adorable as usual. Love the food ones too:lmao:

Dust stuff for NeilOne suspects he may need some about now"Not there,i said box 258542 goes into room 5 zone 11,not room 11 zone 5 i just wish you'd bloody listen Neil".....Deep breaths Karen love, deep breaths.....pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:.....

Were you there?:lmao: ...no actually I hardly did anything:rolleyes1 ... by the time we got the go-ahead - on the actual morning of the move at 11am believe it or not i didnt have much time to pack it all up.. the movers were brilliant..I just made tea and supervised:lmao:

By the time we got to the other house it was almost time to fetch Ellis from his new school. - He loves it by the way. Made loads of new friends already and came out smiling each day. Its just his mum who is billy no mates at the school gate now:rolleyes:

10 more pages down..this is such hard work;) . I am sure I have a queue behind me waiting for the pc but I'm not turning round to look:lmao: . They are all being used at teh minute, I'm going no-where til I have caught up:rolleyes1

Wonder how Karen's move is going.

Hope all the paperwork got filed and no one pulled out at the last minute.

We're thinking of you to Karen. Hopefully you'll be able to sneak away and check in with us.

Hello! I'm here for a short while.

I wonder if Neil and Karen are humping in the rain.:rolleyes1

Mostly dry, about 1 hour of rain.

Oh sure Chris, as soon as we ask something personal you have to leave!!!! You are so mysterious!!!!

You'll never get a straight answer for the illusive pimpernell. He said he was an undertaker once:lmao:

Who's dressing up for Pirate night?

I'm not sure if we will or not. It's the last thing on our "to-do" list except pack. The kids want to go all out, but I'm not sure yet. It's kind of one of those things. You either go all out, or not at all.

We are!

IM SOOOO MAD!!!

I wont swear on here, but b elieve me I want to ! The school meeeting was AGAIN a waste of time and we have now been told to complain in writitng to the board of governors! Hello, we have just met the CHAIR of the governors, and he said he cant do much!????

All we did find out was the boys parent was the ones who complained, they said I said something on the phone to them, which I did not ! believe me, it is soooo stupid. The head teacher wrote the letter on the say so of ONE parent (whos a governor!!!!) not even asking me if this is true or not !

We have pulled Elouise out of the school and the council lady agreed the schools conduct was poor, so she will post out transfer forms today for us for the new school.

Poor Elouise is sooooo confussed!

Please send a pixie dust lorry load, we need it here, my head is about to burst!

Oh geez Lindy...I was convinced you'd win and get full apologies etc. Best of luck for E moving schools. Ellis went in fine.. just try to prepare her and she'll be fine too. She's a confident kid.. Big hugs to all.

I'm back...this is Robin

continued from an 7:04...

When I finally got there, MIke was there along with the ambulance and later the sheriff. My dad calmed down when they pulled in almost as if the troops arrived to save him. (he was in the philippines and Japan in WWII)

On Sunday, he was trying to chase my younger brother (Claude)out of the house because he thinks he's trying to take his farm. He actually lives a ranch home on 4 acres. (I wouldn't call it a farm, but he lived on a farm as a child.) Butch came to help and dad tried to hit him with a flashlight. Dad missed Butch's head and hit his shoulder. Dad then counter with a left to his neck. Butch didn't want to block it because he was afraid he'd hurt dad (he's only 139 lbs. now, about 5'8") They ended up calling the ambulance and taking him to the hospital where Mom was in for a broken hip.

I was staying all night with her because she also has alzheimers and she was scared. I then received a phone call... it was Claude telling Dad was downstairs in the emergency room. They admitted him for 24 hr observation. I talked to the nurse on Mom's floor about Dad and she arranged to have Dad put in the same room as Mom.

If anyone would have told me I would be sitting in the hospital babysitting both my mom & dad, I never would have believed them. I had gotten up Sunday morning at 7:30 and never went to sleep until 12:45 Monday night.

They both came home Monday evening after one of dad episodes in the hospital. He saw Claude at the hospital and starting saying, "That's the guy that trying to take my farm." I told him I would talk to him and after about 1 hour, I was able to calm him down.

There's soooo much more, but I'll write more later.

Sorry to be so long winded, but this is rather theraputic. (Going to work helps too.)

Thanks for all of the concerns.

Robin

Oh Robin, huge hugs to you. It must be awful for you.

How about a pic of Rob at graduation? These were just posted on the Naval Postgraduate School's website, so I thought I'd share........I just can't resist a man in uniform. I know I've said that before......

RobsGraduation.jpg

Wow! - what a hunk!
Dont worry, I'm not some wierd stalker, I'll just admiore from afar:lmao: Is he bringing his uniform onboard? I might have to ask for his autograph:rolleyes1
