I'm back!

Sorry I had to leave so quick Carrie but if I hadn't left when I did, I never would have worked out :rolleyes1

So I went shopping today.....

I had no intention of going but I had to pick up some business documents for Rob and it's close to one of my favourite clothing stores :rolleyes1

I was just going to look to see what they had as I hadn't been in there for months and months and I cashed in all my airmiles and got myself some gift certificates and was going to use them to get some cruise clothes in September.

Well just today they started a sale, and it was a really good one! I got almost $400 worth of clothes and only paid $138!! Technically I paid nothing because I cashed in my airmiles. :woohoo:

AND....the best part, I still have another $80 worth of gift certificates left, I just didn't have the time to continue shopping!!! :cool1:

So I think I will go back tomorrow and get a few more things

I love sales :lmao: I'm a thrifty girl ::yes::

Morning Cass, were all on edge over here as theirs a very strange yellow burning ball in the sky....:confused3

:lmao: How many years since you've seen it????

I am waiting on some T-storms, rumour is that they might be coming our way tonight....it would ne nice to get some rain to cool things off a bit...I can't handle this heat anymore it's ridiculous!!! :sad2: We have a temp read-out on Kira's baby monitor and even though we have a nice fan in there for her, right now at 1:20am, it's reading 32ºC!!! :scared:

Morning Cass - you're an early bird this morning.

Heather

Hmmm, I'm on here everynight at this time just about....actually I'm a night owl...it's 1:30AM my time, I don't normally go to bed until about 2 or 3 :rolleyes1

Must do some work now - so speak later. Have a good night's rest Cass.

Heather

I think I've finally recovered from my Harry Potter hangover... ;)

Was finished by 9AM Saturday morning and then turned around and re-read the whole thing again (slowly this time) and was finished by 11PM on Saturday.

I post no spoilers...but this was not the best written book of the series. However, it was nice to get some answers to questions that had been unanswered for so long. I'm sad that it's all over now... no more HP books to look forward to. :sad1:

Way to go Cass. That is normally how I find things also is when I least expect it. I am also a thrify girl. Probably to the most part to thrifty. I do alot of the shopping for the family at thrift stores. I love goodwills 50% of Saturday. I don't get to go very often but when I do end up there by mistake it is amazing at how much I can walk out with for $50.00. Most of the clothing that I have for the 3 kids, and myself on the cruise is thrift store stuff and you would never be able to know. I think one of my dresses was new from Ross, and Scotts black sports coat is new from target but it was clearanced down to $10.00.

I am going to miss the shopping aspect though. I think I have almost everything for the kids for this cruise. I am in process of packing things now to make sure but it is not fun when you go shopping for just one item. I NEED to go for lots of items to make it worth my while.

I'm half way through Brenda, and I'm getting that feeling too.

Perhaps we should have a 'after KK cruise' competition as to who got the funniest underwater pic?:rotfl2:

Rob is also suffering from a HP hangover. I went to bed at 2am and he had 50 pages to go so he went downstairs to finish it. It's almost 10am and he's still in bed!
