So, what's a spotted duck? And Cheryl, what's freckled lemonade? Is it Strawberry Lemonade??

Freckled Lemonade is Strawberry Lemonade. And at Red Robin, it is the Bomb!

Get that and the A-1 Peppercorn burger and you will be in Heaven.

Note, the burgers are huge, so if you don't eat a lot, split a burger with someone. Suz and I will be doing this next time we go. Our problem is we each like different burgers.

If it isn't too much to ask, I am being selfish and asking for a few little thoughts and prayers myself this morning. I'm going for my 6 month cancer check up today...in about 1/2 hour. Wish me luck....please!

    Hope it went ok Nancy:hug:

Hartland, WI - due west of Nancy about 7 miles (wouldn't that be about right Nancy?)

So is Winsconsin well known for anything? (apart from yourselves obviously;) ) Do you grow anything, eg Florida is known for its oranges etc. Do you have any wierd and wonderful landmarks?

Is it a big city or little town? I always imagine living in a town with a Main Street  (somewhere like Celebration - Disneys fake town).

Just thought it would be interesting to learn about where you all come from.

I've travelled a bit through east, west and south but not much of the middle of America. And I've dipped my toes into Canada too, but only round Vancouver/Banff etc.

Good Morning all!!!!!:cool1: Hope everyone is having a great Monday!!!:thumbsup2

Just an update on DH's bosses son Mike. We went to the hospital today to see the family. Here is what happened. It was a one car accident. 6 teenage boys 17-18 years old. 2 in the front seat buckled in 4 in the back seat no one buckled. It was an older style bronco. The driver was going 60-70 in a 25 and lost control and rolled the car. All boys went to hospital. 5 out of 6 went home the same night. Mike on the other hand is still on life support, had head trama, swelling to the brain, and bleeding in the brain. Unresponsive. His mother has been told to expect the worse. I will update everyone as I get updates. Please keep praying for him.

Carrie - This is my greatest fear raising my 2 boys!! We will continue to pray for all of them.

Me addicted to DIS, never :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I did one read of someone on the DIS board that said her daughter told her she has Disney Obsessive Disorder I think I have it too :lmao:

Ditto!!!:rotfl2:

Ok, tell us about your hometown and nearby everyone..

Next person......

I'm from Fredericksburg Virginia. We are located equal distance from Richmond (the capital) of Virginia and Washington, D.C. We used to be a sleepy farm town but no longer.......population is booming and growing every day!!! We are most notable for the many battles fought in or around the city during the Civil War (1861-1865). If you are into American history this is a place to be!

Just been to body pump class... a kind of weight lifting and toning class, my shoulders are aching already!!!
X

Keep it up Linda!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: You're doing a great job!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I've just ordered my MNSSHP TICKETS:yay: :yay: - ONLINE OF COURSE;)

Yeah!!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2

I've definately heard of Fredericksburg. Sounds an interesting place.

I'm loving finding out about you all...keep them coming.

Good Morning (or afternoon) Karen!!!!:yay: Kisses to Ellis!!

Hello.... I would give kisses to Ellis, but he just wipes them off these days:rolleyes: - he's 6 1/2 and reckons he's too big for Mommy kisses in public - doesnt stop me grabing him and covering him in them though:goodvibes He'll just about tolerate it once in a while:rolleyes: Is Shane and Cody the same? Shane is the same age as Ellis - Ellis will have just turned 7 whne we cruise - they'll be in the same club - we should get them chatting so they know each other before they get to the club - a friendly familiar face is always good on the first day:goodvibes

Theres quite a few children in the same age group - they'll all have a great time together.

My little guys are very huggy and lovey....especially Shane.  Cody is starting to get to the age where it is harder to pull hugs and kisses out of him.....:) He's cool with it if he thinks no one is looking!!;)

I would love to get the two little lads talking......maybe a few e-mails with some pictures.....live chats would have to be on the weekends due to time difference!!! Shane would love it!.....he already likes seeing all the pictures and knowing that these are friends he will be cruising with!!:yay:

We are the Dairy state. I think we still produce the most milk. California is close, not sure if they took us over. We use to be the Beer Capital (Milwaukee) as well, but St. Louis is now. Flag day started in Wabeka, WI (my brother use to live right near there). I also believe the Republican Party started in WI as well (one of the two main political parties in the US).

And most importantly, and I'm sure you heard of this little company, Harley-Davidson is headquartered here in Milwaukee.

We also have Kohler (toilets, sinks, tubs) and Jockey (underwear) here as well. Trek bikes are from Wisconsin.

Wow, I didn't even realized until I started putting all this down what we have. I know there is a lot more companies, but I won't bore you.

Milwaukee is a small town with just under 600,000 people. Including the metro area, where Victoria, Cheryl, Nancy, Judy and I live (includes Waukesha, Racine, Ozaukee, and Washington counties - the suburbs of Milwaukee), there are a mere 1.7 million people.

I on the other hand, live in a small town. There is actually a farm right behind my house. The town I'm closest to is about 8,000. The municipality I pay my taxes to (further away than Hartland) is over 10,000 I believe.

I tried to find a picture online of Hartland's downtown (2 main streets) but I couldn't find one on Google. The center of town is quaint (Suz and I were just talking on Saturday that we'd love to have a house on one of the main streets). Once you get out of town a few blocks, it loses that small town charm - quick.

Any other questions?

DS goes in spurts but generally is fine with the kisses. This morning, however, he wanted it on the cheek. I usually give him a kiss goodbye in the classroom where all the kids can see. :scared1: Usually I pick him up and give him a kiss and he's fine with it.

Funny story, last week one night I went to kiss him good night. He said he wanted it on the cheek. I said, "why don't you want it on the lips?". His answer, "it didn't work well last time". What?! Not sure what that meant.

Sounds good:thumbsup2 - pm me with your email address and I'll get Ellis to send Shane an email. I'll send the same one to Jeff's ds too. He's the same age.

Well now, now thats much better than your first reply:lmao: - you just didnt try hard enough first time round;)

My Dad rides a motorbike -( harley sort ). I'd definately like living in the beer capital - that sounds like fun:drinking1 I just find it really interesting - I hope it wasnt too much of a chore completing your geography homework:rotfl:

:rotfl: Ahhhh, how cute:rotfl: If I try to kiss Ellis in public he runs away wiping it off as he goes:rolleyes:

Thats why I'm looking forward to munching Kira on the cruise - she'll be too young to complain and escape:rotfl:

Good morning:goodvibes

Lol over the spotted d*cks:lmao: - we do have some strange food names:rotfl:

Ok, tell us about your hometown and nearby everyone..

I'll start..

Birmingham (my city) is in the heart of the country - right in the middle. It is the uk's 2nd largest city, famous for industry many years ago. The titanic anchor chain was made about 10 minutes from where we live and another famous part is the Jewellery quarter - its an area of Birmingham with about 300 jewellery shops and makers all in a mile square. The spitfire aeroplane was made here, as was the Jaguar car. We have loads of history and old buildings and a huge new shopping mall. We are about 20 miles from Stratford on Avon and about 2 hours from London.

Next person......

DH here :firefight Wow. I bet it is beautiful there. Kind of ironic that where I used to live in CA, my dad and friends went to a high school called Birmingham. I would have gone there if we did not move to AZ.:yay:

Is is hometown thing just for the UKer's or can others describe their place of residence?

We live about 50 minutes drive from Bath, and its a verey beautifull old Spa, that still has the old roman spa baths.

Swindon isnt really known for much, we have the biggest weirdest roundabout that is one big rounderbout with 5 other ones around the main one !!! That casues alot of scared drivers to almost crash ! No one knows which way to go.... its easy once you know how,and if you treat each rounderbout indidivually its fine.

We are a 40 minute drive from Oxford.
We are in the south west of England and we can drive to London in about 90 minutes ( less if traffic is clear)

Its a cool place to live cos we can get to lots of key places quite quickly, yet our house is less than 5 miutes drive into the country. Our house over looks open fieds, that are protected cos a roman coin was found on the site years ago.

DH here, pirate: We are just starting to get rounderbouts here. It is taking some getting used to. Not many people know how to drive through them.

Thanks Scott. One thing I have to say about MOST Wisconsinites is that we are not fair weather fans. We'll hang in there.

Gorman Thomas?? Whoooa, that is a flashback!:rotfl:

So, what's a spotted duck?

Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. Suburb west of Milwaukee.:rotfl2: Intriguing isn't it?:cool1:

DH here pirate: Hi Nancy, That is not spotted duck. As a flash back, I know I am not a brewer fan per say, I just love baseball.

Unfortunatlly that that big thud everyone heard about was the Phoenix Suns fans jumping off of the band wagon. It is amazing how many fair weather fans are in this state. Do not know why, if anyone fallows a team, they should take the good with the bad.
