Off to bed now or I will be a bear on Sunday.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the dads out there! It's looking like it's going to rain here ( we need it badly) so I think we'll have an uneventful day around these parts.

Abby

Hey Mike! Is it at DSW Shoe Warehouse? I don't get over to FF Mall much but was planning on going here in the next couple of weeks. I'll be sure to stop in and say hi if she's there. Have fun at the game!

Abby

This is Robin...

:rotfl: Boy, Mike lives in his own little dream world, doesn't he? If he saw Cinnamon coming over, he'd lock the door and go hide under the bed.

I'm afraid the closest Mike and Chuck are going to get to Cinnamon is by opening the kitchen spice cabinet.;)

As far as the pole is concerned... they better leave it alone, it's mine. I like it the color it is.:rotfl2:
(just kidding)  Although, it did look like fun on Oprah. :)

Robin, don't ALL men live in their own little dream worlds? :rotfl:

Mike update

He has been in a rehabe center for the last week and a half. He got his hair cut. He is regaining his strength and walking more, assisted. They think he will get released to go home in the middle of next week. His long term memory is unaffected, but his short term is gone. However it is gradually improving week by week. His vision has been affect also so they need to see someone about that. But overall he is ready to go home.

Update on my mother.

I think this will be the last update on her. She is doing very well. Actually, my uncle and grandmother are in town this weekend visiting with her and she actually wants Mackenzie to go over and spend the night tomorrow night with all of them. She is still taking about a 2 hour nap a day. But she is out and about doing things as long as my father drives. The drs are looking at taking her off of one of the heart medications within the next month. She does have some memory loss, that I don't see correcting itself but I just realized today that I need to tell her about the things that are different so she can work on them. Who knew.

DOUBLE Good News!!:dance3:

So far, just church, and then taking lil DD to grandmas. We might stop by a big sportinggoods store that just opened up. They carry all sorts of outdoor stuff for camping, fishing, and hunting. :thumbsup2

Would that be a Cabella's Scott? We just had one open last year a few miles from us and it seems very popular.

No Cabella's opened up about a year ago, it is about an hour away. This one that we are going to is Bass Pro Shop. Not like he buys anything just likes to go look.

Well since no one has been on today am I right to assume that all the fathers are out having a good fun relaxing day? Who got to do what? Sorry we live vicariously through others.

Carrie, Great news! :thumbsup2

I asked my son what he was getting me for Father's Day....

he said: "Nothing.... you're not my father."

I reminded him that being a single parent since he was about 1 1/2....that
I qualified as both his mother and father!

Alas..... I got the same gift he gave me for mother's day.....

Nothing:sad2:

Teenagers! He said he'd owe me one for Mother's day!

My BF Bob's daughter lives in Germany. He doesn't get to see her very often and since she is also a teenager (and because her mom doesn't remind her)
she has never sent a card or called her Dad on Father's day.

He misses her lots too:hug:

So.... I had an idea:idea: for his father's day this year.
He has scattered photos of his daughter at various ages in different envelopes and such in a cabinet.....

I went through them and borrowed them and sorted them by her age from birth to her visit here last summer.
I scanned them all into my computer and made a photo cd for him.

I played it for him on my TV this morning after I made him breakfast, he
really liked it:)

And then he did get to speak to his daughter today on the phone too:thumbsup2

I remember buying Ellis some Pyjamas from America once - they were Toy Story Woody ones, but when he got them out of the packet the trousers (bottom part) were really tight and skinny legs - almost like tights without the feet! - our bottoms are loose and a bit baggy. He hated wearing them.

Karen,

The reason why our p.j.'s are so tight here is they are suppose to be for fire retardent reasons. Loose fitting p.j.'s catch fire easier. You will some times see a label in them stating that.

Hope that helps as to why our are so tight.

Chris,

Thanks for the update on the competition. How did Paul do for his performance. Was it as good as the first two? Must have been if he won.

How did the girls do - Connie and Bessie?

I've tried to find footage on YouTube, but nothing is up yet. Did all you Brits go to bed after it? Don't you know us Americans want to see the performances?

Very sweet Rose. That was such a nice thing to do for Bob. I'll bet the cd and the phone call were the best gifts he ever got.

Jeff!! How was camping this weekend? Which campground did you go to?
