Cheryl staying at the port may well the the prudent thing to do as Jeff said earlier the shuttle is due to launch that day the 20th so the roads around the port will or would be mental.....

ps...Brenda and Jason ARE coming on this cruise they just don't know they are YET:rolleyes1

Chris the shuttle launch was a big factor in our deciding to stay at the port the night before. I had noticed that they were planning a launch for the 20th when I was checking into things for our trip to FL this June. There was originally a launch scheduled for late June that we were planning to see but that has now been moved up to early June before we will be there. We saw a shuttle launch years ago, Rachel was so young she doesn't really remember it, but it was awesome to see. We are hoping that it will be a go for the 20th while we are still in the area!

Brenda so sorry to hear you and Jason are no longer cruising with us :sad1: I hope all is well with you and I'm glad to see you are still posting here! Chris did post that you ARE still going but you just don't know it, I hope he turns out to be right!

Now that I am logged back in as me.

We booked the Country Inn last week. I was able to get the AAA rate of $103.50. I don't like to have to prepay and not be able to get a refund if we would need to cancel so I am happy with this rate.
I had checked the Ron Jon but kept coming up with no availability and with the price difference we will stick with the Country Inn for this trip. I'll be looking forward to hear whtat you think of it though for future reference.

Cheryl,

I didn't check for an AAA rate. At $103.50, that is a pretty good rate and you can cancel no problem. The cancellation fee was only $25 if it was outside of 72 hours. I didn't think it was too bad. Inside 72 hours, the trip insurance would have covered it. We have a 72 hour at Ron Jon as well, but it is for a full refund. I was going to try to get it under their "guarantee" program. I figured the $67 would have been killer. But, I bet by the time they got back to me, the other sites would have been higher (on them contacting them) and they'd say their is no lower price. I would have been fine with the $99 also.

I'll let you know how the resort is. I tried to get Suz to stay in WDW at a Mod the night before (she still wanted the port) and would have paid more there, so I think the $140 is pretty good. I'm curious to see what the water park is like.

Let me know how the Country Inn is. I was leaning towards that one. Suz wanted the Radisson. We're both extremely happy with the RJ.

Hello everyone......

Karen how did your selling go ?

Chris when do we get to see a photo of you all ?

Brenda, how are you feeling now ?

Ive just eaten a packet of rolos!!!!!! while DISSING ! yikes, back swimming tomorrow for me.

Wow, quiet night.

Busy day, but nothing going on tonight.

Where is everyone?

Nancy - where did you get your fish extender from? We got ours from as a present from a fellow Disser last September.

Heather, I think I got my F.E. from someone on your cruise last September. She stated that she made some for some of the DISers on the 11 night Southern. If I recall, her name is Carol(??)

we're all going to get passports soon just in case. Better safe than sorry.

Our kids ordered theirs March 14, March 16, March 21 and April 4th. None were received yet. Kristin was first to go for hers but her check to the passport office has not even been cashed yet. That was about 6 weeks ago.

WELCOME back Cheryl!! Glad to see another Wisconsinite. And Victoria..you came back too!!!

Seems like we have a lot of the KK's staying at the Port on Friday night. It also seems like we all chose different hotels too.:confused3

Look who finally decided to join us today.

Hi Nancy.

Just checking in... thanks for all the good wishes. It was an unpleasant morning but the worst of it wore off by lunch time. I was very unproductive today and treated myself to a spa manicure after I fled the employer this afternoon.

Test results due back on Monday.

Cheryl - glad to see you're posting again, and yes we had to cancel the cruise. Thanks for your kind words - we're so sorry that we won't have to chance to meet a lot of these wonderful people. That's why I still hang around and bug everyone.

Well, that and I have a secret "crush" on AFEG...except now I guess it's not so secret. :lmao:

Hey Brenda!! Glad to hear that you are better tonight. Rob had to go back to school tonight, so I have had a Heineken and now I am thinking about brownies. Or a glass of wine. Or a girlie drink of some kind. Come on over so I don't have to drink alone.:rotfl:

Relax and have a great weekend, sistah!

How about one of those bottle that have the daiquiris already pre-made? Will they let you take that onboard?

I am bored and have a kitchen to clean............so I think I will go for a whole page!

So are you taking a case of water on the ship? Isn't the water on the ship safe? We could just take a few bottles in our backpacks and keep refilling them.........

I bet I just ruined it for you Paige... sorry.

I was updating the shrubbery this time...d'oh!

How's Emily doing today?

Paige,

We drink the tap water all the time on the ship and don't have any problems. The only bottled water we'll need is for going ashore.

We plan on taking some onboard the first day and then a little more when we get to Key West. We only need it on GC and Coz.
