Did i mention we had an earthquake over here last night nobody hurt or anything as it was only 5 on the richter scale Ive started a fund to help all the survivors so if you can help out please made your cheque payable to The fat fellas "mickey" holiday fund thank you for your generous donations:rolleyes1

Chris that was me .... skipping !
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Paige love the photos... cant wait to see BLUE seas.! As Chris said, ours are a sludgy grey most of the time! Cornwall and Devon have nice beaches, but then sadly the weather doesnt always enhance the "beach experience"

We too were thinking about the pirate enchounter trip! We could almost have a mini dis meet!!!
We want to do Paradise beach in Cozumel, for the water toys etc.
Think in Key West we will do our own thing.

Like Karen I want to go to HELL.... just to say, ive done it.
Decisions decisions....... :confused3

Heres some info on "me skipping" !!!:lmao: :lmao:

off MSN.

Homes were evacuated after parts of Kent were hit by an earthquake on Saturday. The tremor - measuring an estimated 4.3 on the Richter scale - struck just after 8.15am and people across the county reported that the ground and their properties shook and there was damage to some buildings.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said it had taken more than a 100 emergency calls and was dealing with "several incidents". A spokesman said: "We have had calls from people saying their chimneys have fallen down, and there were large cracks in their houses."

Wow ! if I was a tag fairy, I would quote that !!!! thats the best thing and most accurate thing typed on here for ages !!! and its funny too ;) :rotfl:

Why thank you! :rotfl2: This is a common topic of discussion at work. It's our way of getting the men to leave the room quickly!

How about one of those bottle that have the daiquiris already pre-made? Will they let you take that onboard?

Absolutely! I did hear that starting Oct 20th anyone bringing alcoholic beverages on board with them must drop them off in cabin 6576 for approval. All un-used (ooops, I mean un-approved) alcohol will be returned to it's rightful owner by October 27th.:lmao:

So is everybody booking a hotel at the port? I have already booked the night in Florida and paid, but now I'm panicking incase the road is gridlocked. We intend to be at the port by 10amish, so leaving Orlando about 8-8.30am,...does this sound about right?

Funny thing Karen. Lots of us at the Port on Friday night but so far I think we are all staying at different ones. We are at the Marriott-Cocoa Beach. Then I read some are at the Radisson, Country Inn, Ron Jon, Residence Inn etc... I'd say we call for a mini dismeet in the parking lot of the Magic on Friday night but I'd also bet we get kicked out.:scared1:

The check is in the mail Chris!!:rotfl2:

It'll be good to hear that everyone is ok.

I'm totally using it!! :rotfl2: That has to be one of the funniest things I ever read here.:lmao:

I've been to Hell and back. And I've been told that I am going to Hell with my fire panties on too.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: Abby! You must post more often. Love it!!:thumbsup2

Since I was up at the "butt crack of dawn" again today, all my housework is done. We're off for breakfast and then on a mission to find a DIStag gift for a very special DISer!!

Hope you all have a great Saturday. :)

Brenda, stay well and have fun at wedding #2!!

Oh geez - what a morning:sad2: ..

Ds has started football training so being a good mommy I decided that this morning I would take him to get some proper footie boots instead of wearing his trainers cos all I have had this week is "Mom, can I have footie boots with studs on the bottom?", "Can I mom,,,can I?"...on and on,....and on....like a stuck record.....so not wanting to hear it any more (cos I have a headache) I agreed to go shopping.....we were in the shop for 2 whole hours:scared1: ....2 hours for goodness sake. He ended up with a whole football strip from Birmingham City Club AND footie boots and I came away penniless AGAIN!

Then we get home and the phone rings...the lady off the Dibb who is buying 2 big glass cabinets off me wants to come today:scared1: - they are chockablock full:scared1:

I have so far emptied three shelves and packed them in boxes, but its taken me 2 hours so far. Shes coming at 6pm so at this rate she'll be helping me pack!

As usual Neil is working all weekend, 7 days a week:sad2: , so he gets out of the grotty jobs:rolleyes:

Oh well, better get back to packing,...my headache just wont go away:sick:

The suns out and I wanna lie down on my squashy comfortable sunlounger and sleeeeeeeeeeeeep

Heather, I think I got my F.E. from someone on your cruise last September. She stated that she made some for some of the DISers on the 11 night Southern. If I recall, her name is Carol(??)

Thats the one Nancy.

Think you should be alright Karen. Don't forget NASA have a habit lately of changing launch dates. So I wouldn't panic.

Heather

Oooohhh....see, I want more time on the beach, but I want to do Hell! - Could I do this on its own in a cab after the early pirate ship and then still have time on that lovely beach you showed me in the photo, or is it totally opposite sides of the island? I'm sooo not bothered about the turtles..white sand and turquoise seas seem much more appealing:cool1:

Karen,

Hell is on the west side of GC, same side the ships come in to and the side where 7-mile beach is. It is all the way to the north. Not sure how far it is. At least 7 miles though. :rotfl:

When we went to port from WDW we'd leave by 8:30 and get there, drop the car and be at the gate by 10:00. Are you driving a car up there or are you taking the bus or do you have a driver? You will need to figure some time for dropping a car off at the rental car place if you are driving (it would be cheaper to drop and then pick up after than paying for the car and port parking).

Jeff

Jay and I have some "Get Out of Hell Free" cards that we'd be happy to pass along...:rotfl2:

I don't know where he found them but they look just like the "Get Out of Jail Free" cards from Monopoly.

Being a girl stinks! Men, be glad you have nose hairs to worry about and not wings!

Not listening. (la, la, la, la, la)

If I were the tag fairy, it would read..."will take nose hairs over wings anyday".

Chris, where are you? Heeeeeelllllllllllpppppppp.

Hey, the NFL draft starts today. I have a feeling this will NOT be a topic of conversation (although the WI DISers will talk about the Packers pick. Both sexes are big Packers fans here in WI).

So what will be the Female topic of discussion next week? :confused3

Well, we have everything that we can do/book for the cruise now, done.

Just have to wait until the 90 day mark to do excursions/reservations.

Hey all. who are you guys using for rental cars? we are staying at pop century and need to get to the port Sat morning. We have looked into Tiffany Towncars. But if we could rent a car for a lot less than that will be the way to go. do you have to go pick up the car or will they transport it to you? thanks

Thats the one Nancy.

Heather

I hope so Heather,... If you see a mad woman in a dinghy rowing behind the ship yelling "stop the ship - I wanna get on", it means I got caught up in a traffic jam:lmao:

Ok, so Hell and 7 mile are in the same direction? We could get a cab, "do" Hell quickly then get a cab to 7 mile beach:banana:

SO, ideally we do the early pirate cruise thingy, grab a cab, "do" Hell and buy the t shirt, cab to 7 mile beach, mommy gets a massage and a large coctail on the beach.:cool1: - sounds like a nice day:thumbsup2

Do-able do you think?

We are dropping a car off in the parking lot, it doesnt take long does it? We're keeping and paying for it for the whole time we're on the ship... It wasnt too much more expensive than hiring, dropping back and re-hiring and it saved the hassle of it all.

In Key West I have heard about key lime pie on a stick - anyone had this and is it good?

Anyone recomend a place to eat? Is this where the Hard Rock is? If so is it far to walk?

We're going it alone in Key West...may hire an electric car and find that southern point thingy, do a few shops and then lunch!

What are the shops like in Key West?

Oooooh, I hate being new to this cruise stuff, I usually have all the answers - all I have now is questions:rolleyes:

Chris - by the way...dont look in your steamer trunk on day 7 just after breakfast.:rolleyes1

Or if you do just pass me in a bottle of water;) :lmao:

We thought the shopping in Key West was typical of a lot of American tourist traps... tacky and junk-filled for the most part with lots of t-shirts for sale (most of which you wouldn't wear in public unless you were drink off your a$$).

But there were also some stores that were kind of cool to wander around in. We liked the Tortuga Rum store and we found a store that was dedicated to selling stuff for people and their pets. That's the place that we found super-potent catnip cigars for our handsome kitty. :thumbsup2

We saw plenty of people eating the key-lime pie on a stick, but didn't try it ourselves - I don't like key-lime pie...does this surprise anyone?

Sitting here at work, waiting for 1pm, so I can start my weekend.

I agree, Abby should get tagged with that quote! Pretty funny! :lmao:

We're staying at the Poly the 2 nights before the cruise, taking the DCL bus over the morning of the cruise. Yes, we are paying more, but the girls just love riding the bus. Plus they show the video on the way over, which will get us more psyched for the cruise. Can't wait to see that first glimpse of the Magic when we crest that hill coming into PC.

Not gonna worry too much about the shuttle launch, or trying to get over to PC any earlier. As Heather mentioned, this will probably change a million times before settled. Who knows, the launch could be at 4am! All the hoopla will be over with by the time we get out there. If DH hears that, he may want to change over to the port, just to try and see it!

We're not gonna even look at excursions until we get back from our May trip to WDW. One thing at a time. We'll be booking at the 105 day mark, so we still have the whole month of June to sort things out.

Hey, is anyone planning on the Palo brunch? I forgot, what days do they usually do that on the Western itin? Jeff - I'm sure you'll know the answer to this one. I think you've even answered it before!

Well, just 5 more miuntes and I can scoot out of here. Guess I'll start shutting these 'puters down. Have a good day everyone! I'll try to catch up later on tonight.

Tina
