Karen, sorry to hear that you and Ellis are feeling so badly.
I'm glad you did get into the Dr though....can't believe they could've made him wait till next week!
And hopefully with the meds and a bit of time Ellis will be feeling better soon.
Now you need to go take care of yourself too.
Where's Neil?

Lindy How exciting  What a wonderful birthday present! How nice that your mum will watch Elouise for you and just the 2 of you can get away. You are going to become our Royal Caribbean expert. I may be calling on you for info afterwards because there is a good chance we will be cruising RC next, just not sure when.

I will try and get lots of info before we go, but i just know i will take millions of photos etc... happy to share any info i get on RC. Ive been on cruise Critic there is lots on there. There are some nice people on the boards, but its not the same as this thread. Though i guess we have all been friends for ages now ! :)

Just had to share: It was my birthday on Wednesday and my boss gave me the best gift: A box (yes, box) of sparkling wine (it's from Francis Ford Coppola's winery--a 4-pack of little pink cans with matching straws--originally made for daughter Sofia's wedding) with a note "To be drunk only on the Magic!" along with a quite generous Disney gift certificate. Now, where should I spend that???: smickey:

Happy belated birthday Victoria, you kept that quiet ;)
What a top boss, dont think mine would do that, lucky to get a card. mind you my boss is a man, and sorry guys, most of you forget things like this!

Karen a :grouphug: to Ellis. Now if he was from a boat load of..... no get get me on this subject , I wont be very PC

Chris, glad to see you are back. Cr*p night Wed, now just concentrating on the PL. Wayne is off to watch it in the pub tomorrow, before going to see the game live at Swindon ( we might get back into Div 1 !:cool1: )

Yes Linda, it is nice to have both our boys back online. (Glad you're both back Jeff & Chris)

Thanks for mentioning Neil Diamond. I haven't listened to him a long time (use to listen to him all the time. Seen him in concert twice.) Well, I have over 20 of his songs loaded in my Yahoo music jukebox and I've been cycling through them about 2 times already.

Suz and I are both big fans. We actually had his remake of One Hand, One Heart at our wedding.

He has such a distinct voice. Kinda like Andrea Bocelli. Another one you can just sit and listen too.

So, since many of us are into Neil, do you think we can add that to our list of demands for DCL? Have live performance by the man himself? :confused3

Wouldn't that be the greatest? Neil Diamond doing a personal appearance at our DISmeet. :yay: I like the guy myself. Jeff, did you ever go to see the Neil Diamond impersonator here? I believe he was part of Thunder and Lightning. I saw him perform a few times at the State Fair. Unfortunatley he passed away not long ago.

Happy Birthday Victoria! If you have any problems spending that GC, I'm sure you'll have many volunteers around here to help.

Saw them once.

Is the woman still alive? I remember a car ran up on her lawn and they had to amputate (sp?) her foot/feet. Can't remember if she had died since.

I think he died last year.

so im flying solo this weekend. what to do, what to do...robins away.
maybe ill call cinnamon. true story. a women bought a condo 2 down from us 2 years ago. probably early 30s. a friend of ours was over one day and saw her out and said "thats heather, shes a stripper" no kidding. so robin and dd named her cinnimon because of her red hair. they said thats her new stage name.
so every time robin is away i tease her that im going to call cinnimon to come over. or ill tell her i called the pole rental place for the weekend.
whenever the ups truck comes around ill say heather is getting a new costume in the mail. im going over to check it out.
what do you think walt.. want to come over this weekend. bring lots of ones.(really ive hardly ever talked to her.) but i can tease robin about it.

Wow... I was just looking at United and I didn't get those results. I was using 10/15 - 10/25 for my dates though...

Bah!

Hey Brenda,

Have you looked at American? On AA.com you can go on those dates, non-stop, on MD-80 jets, for $178.80. That's pretty good.

BTW, if you can adjust your dates a little, and come back on 10/29, you can get the same fare. That would allow you to come on the cruise. :thumbsup2

Mike, your weekend sounds a little like mine. Chuck and our DS went to Indianapolis for the weekend. Just DD and myself. I'll be working most of the weekend, but also going to my parents house to cut the lawn and help my mom a little after her surgery last Monday. Sorry to say, I don't have a "Cinnamon" or her male counterpart in this neighborhood. Either all the guys are too old or too young around here.

Oh, oh..I think I left myself wide open on that comment. :yay:

Have a great weekend.

Yes, and a Cat 10 is only $2,242 for 2 adults (no insur or xfers).

Cat 9 (window) = $2,578.
Cat 8 (higher window) = $2,894.
Cat 7 (navigator's verandah) = $3,208.
Cat 6 (regular verandah) = $3,608.

Not sure what your her Cat 6 was costing or if she had the 10% rebooking discount, but a cat 10 is currently $1,366 less. :thumbsup2

Golf sounds good to me. My dad and I are planning to go this summer while I am home visiting. My brothers say they won't play with me because I am not very talented.....ok, I'm terrible. But, you know, daddies and their little girls. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is feeling good enough to play. He had that bypass in March and he's back to work full time, so hopefully he'll be ok. Does your son like to give you lots of pointers? My brothers run my dad crazy with all the tips. You could swear that they're pros, but they're just average. I love it when my dad gives them a run for their money!

no, he doesnt give me any pointers. it wouldnt help me anyway. i dont play that often to be any good. we just go bang it around once in a while. he is actually not too bad though. must get it from my dad. dad used to be really good. won an area golf tournament years ago. we were never allowed to go with him though. we were too distracting im sure. its kind of sad that he cant golf anymore. he used to live for it.

Mike, it's great that you and your son are able to go and "bang it around." That makes the best golf games....no pressure, just enjoyment.

Jeff, is there any way we can see how full the boat is for our cruise?
