Chris just took a whole page - nice job! :thumbsup2 And now I have Pinball Wizard stuck in my head. :lmao:

Nancy - I did the same thing you did when I read Linda's post about the supermarket. I was sitting here asking myself why anyone would buy a purse at the grocery store...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

As for the "probing" there will be none of that today... you have to schedule those about 2 months or so in advance (unless it's an emergency) because it's an outpatient procedure performed under anesthesia.

So that means I give up a weekend - no solid food...purge (you don't want to know the details)... and then have the test, which is the easy part because I'll be doped up higher than a kite. Then Jay drives through McDonald's on the way home, I order one of everything on the menu, gorge, and then sleep the rest of the day.

At least I get a day off from work! ;)

AFEG...what are you waiting for? Go read the latest Argie Bargie...I think you'll like the way it starts out as it will reinforce this notion you seem to have of Jason and me as "ale carts." :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: If the cap fits dear...I read it this morning before we got zapped at 8.20am....Do you prefer RUM or Brandy with your breakfast dear?:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Actually...brandy! :thumbsup2

When we were in New Orleans a few years ago we had breakfast at Brennans one morning and they offered Brandy Milk Punch on the morning menu. We'd heard Emeril talk about it on his show once and decided to give it a try....it's sooooooo gooooood!!!! :thumbsup2

We actually make it at home now over the holidays - our friends and family show up at the house and the first thing out of their mouths is, "So, uh, you got any of that milk punch stuff?" :rotfl2:

BTW - Brennan's is the only place I have ever eaten that offers a formal 3-course breakfast...it included dessert!

I ended up ordering fresh fruit with creole cream cheese...drool...eggs benedict with no sauce...yum...and bananas foster...at 10AM in the morning!!!!

I wish we were there right now. :cloud9:

Good for you! And tell her that you don't order the wine pairing in advance - you order it at the restaurant when you make your menu selections.

So does this mean you'll join Jay and me for a birthday drink while you send your ladies off to a 5-star meal?

Crap!! Pardon the expression...;)

Gotta have a full abdominal CT on Friday morning and a colonoscopy on May 14th. And then I may have to change my drugs...great choices, too: steroids or Imuran. I can turn into a man or I can deal with lymphoma as a side-effect. D'OH! :headache:

Well, at least this will kick-start my weight loss program. Nothing like a radically reduced and partially liquid diet four weeks before heading out on vacation.

I'm going to eat everything in sight when I get to Disney next month...I don't care if it kills me! :lmao:

PS. AFEG...we don't do breakfast meat at home, only on vacation! And vodka too early in the morning is just a bad idea, don't you think?

PPS. AFEG...are you looking to hire anyone? Jay and I might be willing to relocate if the price is right...;)

Let me take a look at your CV and i'll get back to you (like i need a couple of ale carts in my team):scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Nancy, you are right a supermarket does sell food, and LOTs of other things too !....................... like handbags etc ! :)

I so proud of it, I took it to school, only to be stopped by 5 other mums asking how on earth I got hold of one ;) at kick boxing a lady offered to buy it there and then for £200 off me... er hello, where would I put my stuff if I sold the bag to you ?

SAD I know, its not even that great ( as in design or my choice of material for a bag etc) however as its so trendy to get one (if you can!) I like being "in ":thumbsup2 :)

Anyone know what night the Goofy PJ party/sleepover thing is on please? Thought we can pencil this one in, whilst planning,as this is one of her top "wants to do's"

Thanks

I make the Brandy Milk Punch too! Brennan's is out of this world, isn't it? Rob and I went there for our honeymoon (supposed to have a Disney honeymoon, but Persian Gulf War changed that) weekend, and even had a bottle of wine with our breakfast. I had to hold on to chairs for balance as we walked out! I think I probably touched a few patrons shoulders for balance as well. So you see, Chris, in some places, liquor at breakfast is fun....and a must!:lmao:

So, this marks my 999th post here on this thread. My next post will be my 1,000th.

Getting to know everyone has been great. Many new friendships have been made.

I started posting on this thread several months ago when we moved one of our January Eastern cruises because we thought we’d do a non-cruise vacation this past year. Then we decided to go on a Western in January. Luckily we had a 3 night Wonder cruise planned for the same week you all are going on your Western. Since I enjoyed the DISers here, we decided to move that cruise to get the discounts instead of this one.

Then the repo cruises came along. I remember reading the live threads from the 2005 Eastbound and Suz and I said at that time that we would do whatever it takes to go on the Magic if it does it again. Well, that got announced while we were sailing this last January. So, on January 31st, I got on the phone with DCL and booked the repo. Luckily, I had just done a “dummy” date 2 weeks earlier, so I transferred that ressie to the Repo. All the time holding out hope that I would somehow be able to make it on your cruise.

Sadly, Suz said that if we are doing the repo, we are not going on the cruise in October and we’d put the money towards the repo. So instead, we started planning a trip to CA to go to DL and Legoland and either SeaWorld or the SD Zoo. I continued to try to convince Suz to do the cruise and wasn’t about to cancel/move the ressie until right before the final payment was do or the airline tickets to CA were purchased.

Since then, everyone was so kind here to allow me to post even though I was not officially a Konked Kruiser.

Well, with my 1,000th post, it will be time for me to say good-bye……..

……..to the title of NON-Konked Kruiser that is.

As of Monday night, we are officially, 100% for sure, going on this cruise. I am now a Konked Kruiser.

My 1,000th post couldn’t have been better timed.

Our vacation time has just been approved and we purchased our airline tickets on Monday. We will be coming down on the 19th, hitting DTD (Blizzard if it is nice out) and then heading out to Port for that night (figures the ONLY Friday in October they don’t have MNSSHP would be the 19th). After the cruise, we will be heading straight home. I’d like to spend more time down in FL, but just getting on the cruise will be great. We figured there was so much we didn’t see at the stops in January, that we could do them this time (hoping we don’t get a rerouted cruise due to weather). Plus, the cost per night of doing the CA trip was much more than the cruise, and we had free airfare to CA.

So now you are all stuck with me.

Ok, btw.....I am still here.......

HI Everyone! Missed you all!:grouphug:

Just still adjusting to new schedule and lack of sleep!
