Brenda, thank you for the wonderful coments on your trip report, as I said you made me cry reading it, I was sooo touched! We had fun and I know we will meet up before the cruise, and have a few more drinks!

Chris Karen, the bags are just £5.........................yes you read right £5... its cos its a hessien type bag, with Im not a plastci bag, written on the side. The designer did this as a experiment to prompt recycling... lots of famous peope where snapped carrying them, so the prices on e bay are aroud £80.............. some more !!

Karen we do chef Mickeys for Tea, as we come out of Epcot or Mk, its in contempory on the monorail link, the monorail goes through the hotel... literally! characters are there from 5pm for tea, we prefer tea there cos we are hungry hot and tired by then and need a sit down.
.

Ok, £5 sounds good! - now I just need to find a Sainsburys (there isnt one by us) and beat everyone else to the queue!-hhmmmmm::idea: , wonder if Neil is willing to camp out for me:lmao:

Chef Mickeys - sounds good! - been on the monorail so I know where you mean.

Ok..... I have news....good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have acepted the offer on our house and...........offered on the one we love cos it went back on the market last week.......and.........its been accepted:banana:      :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh my god!!!!!!!!!! - doing the happy dance in my lounge:dance3: - just rang Neil and he's over the moon too. :cool1:

We expected to have to go up another £1000 at least but they've accepted it.

Its still going to be really tight on the £££££ but Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

All we have to worry about now is whether the school will hold the one and only place at the school til we can exchange contracts.

Please please please give me loads of pixiedust - I know I've asked for loads already lately but eek! - I want more!:rotfl:

I'm about to write a really grovelling letter to them with a pretty please at the end - fingers crossed they wont offer it to someone else on the list.

We'll be officially skint on the cruise, but I dont care - I'll drink tap water for the week if it means I get my dream house:love:

ok, off to dance some more then write that letter.

WOOOOO HOOOOOO, Karen!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:    :yay: :yay: :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

So happy for you and the family!!! Can't wait to see pics of the new house!

Congratulations!!!!!!

O.K. enough time, here is what I came up with doing a quick calculation:

105 days: July 7 (Jul=24, Aug=31, Sep=30, Oct=20)
90 days: July 22 (Jul=9, Aug=31, Sep=30, Oct=20)
75 days: Aug 6 (Aug=25, Sep=30, Oct=20)

If it doesn't look right, let me know.

Hey y'all. Is it necessary to call for the Palo ressies or is it ok to do them online? I know I can do it online, but is it one of those things that the phone call ressies go through quicker?

Congrats Karen

I've been in your shoes, selling and building though, very stressful. But worth it in the end.

Paige - did you see that thread on your playa mia post? - it sounds dreadful:eek:

Yes, I saw that. I think we have decided on Paradise beach. It has the water toys my kids (daredevils)want. Of course when I throw all of this at Rob, he says something like, "Don't worry, if one beach is too crowded or doesn't have what we want, we'll move on." That man is so laid back sometimes. (I'm the planner, he's the enforcer. In fact, that is kinda how we discipline our kids. I tell him privately what I think the punishment should be and he enforces it.) To be honest, what has me excited about the beach in Coz is the fact that we can sit on our beach chairs and the waiters come out to us to take our orders and serve them too!:beach:

Please can someone read this and give me your honest opinion?

Dear Mrs

Re: School opening being held for Ellis Mason - Year 1

Further to our telephone conversation before the Easter holidays, I would like to update you on the progress of our house move to 2 Knightsfield Close.

We have sold our home to first time buyers and our offer has been accepted on Knightsfield Close. The sale is progressing well; however, the process has taken longer than anticipated and we are still not in a position for Ellis to switch schools just yet. We feel it would be irresponsible of us as parents to move his schooling when we have still not exchanged contracts as it is not legally binding for either of the three parties in the chain until this time. We do not foresee any problems as everyone is hoping to move quickly and is eager to progress, so we were hoping and wondering if it would it be possible for you to hold the place another few weeks? It is likely to be mid/end May.

My husband and I really want him to attend your school and Ellis himself is enthusiastic about the house move and a new school. We are more than happy and willing to travel from Great Barr each day to bring him to school once the contracts are exchanged until we actually move in.

Many thanks for your patience and understanding so far.

Yours sincerely

Karen and Neil Mason

Is it ok? - does it sound too much. Please honest opinions - feel free to comment or add /change etc.

Quick ??? for those of you in the UK. Is there player trading cards for football in the UK?

YES - LITTLE PACKETS OF FOOTBALL CARDS - ABOUT 6 IN A PACK? VARIOUS TEAMS ETC?

Ooops - just noticed capitals were on!

We can bring some on the cruise with us if you want some.:confused3

Paige,

Just a quick question on the map you ordered. Is it foldable or is it laminated (therefore un foldable map:lmao: :lmao: )?

Did you see anywhere that we can order Grand Cayman maps?

I just love this thread. You guys do all the work and I just sit back and wait for answers. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Karen, your letter looks good to me except maybe you could find a way to print a few "begging" smilies on it.:rotfl:

I agree with Nancy. I was thinking instead of smilies, maybe you could give them some of those ripple thingys. It always makes me laugh because ripple is not chocolate in the US--it's very cheap wine.

Oh geez - I have no ink in the sodding printer.

I printed out all the park schedules this morning and its gone.:scared1:

Holy cow - need Neil to get to the stationers before they shut and he's not answering his mobile.

The map is foldable and HUGE! It is full of info too--Car rental info, taxi info, restaurant reviews, etc. And it gives you approximate prices on the various items they are reviewing. It measures about 3ft by 2ft when opened but folds to regular size.

I didn't see any GC maps, but that may be because I have been fixated on Coz since we are definitely doing that on our own. In GC, we are doing the Pirate encounter through DCL. I will get to looking around for one...another excuse to skip housework!:rotfl2:
