Nancy- Mark has to drive to the Pewaukee area tonight for some training for work, do you know what your forecast is for this evening? We are in line for 2-10 inches of snow, depending how the storm goes.

Thanks, Janice

Thanks for the link...just ordered our maps....

Are they too big for a scrapbook?

Waaaay too big for a scrapbook. I read somewhere that people were laminating them and making place mats out of them, but I think they are even too large for that. Besides, that must be one big laminating machine.:)

Well, since our UKers are out having fun somewhere else, looks like I'll have to argle for a bit.

Have a great day all.

Good morning Janice!

Well, right now I hear that it's pretty slippery and icey. The last I heard is that we can expect anywhere between 5-9 inches of snow but not until Wednesday afternoon. We should have only 1-2 inches by tomorrow morning. Pewaukee is only about 4 miles from my home and I work in Pewaukee.

Where is Mark training? It's my turn to bring lunch to work tomorrow and I'm making Hungarian Sausage, sauerkraut, chips and pickles. He can stop in and have lunch with us!:yay:

Stay safe.
Nancy:flower3:

Nancy dear the fat fella is still here.....maybe all the other UK DISS members decided to take this week off knowing I'd be around all week:sad1: .....oh know the paranoia thing is spreading:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hi everyone

well, I had my blood taken today at the hospital so fingers crossed I match for my sister. What a performance though - they only needed 6 little bottles of the stuff but my body just wasnt co-operating:scared: - I ended up going really hot, nearly passing out and they had to work my veins by squeezing the blood out by rubbing my hand along the vein just to get it to come out. I felt ok after a short while, but god knows how I'll cope if/when they have to get my whole blood through a machine to take out the good stuff - normally it takes 3-4 hours - I'll probably there a week!:sad2: Then theres a chance they need to repeat it the next day if they didnt get enough "good stuff".:scared:

Well, its over now... feel a bit woozy - I know...pathetic arent I! - Neil can get a pint out in a few minutes when he gives blood - it took them about 15 mins to get 6 teeny tiny bottles. My sister had all sorts done aswell and has to stay in all day and tonight for more treatment so please put her in your thoughts tonight. She is worse than I was - she is petrified and goes into panic - I couldnt even tell her about my 6 little bottles without her nearly passing out. She has been offered pyschological help re the needles but shes refused. She didnt look too good today so please send her some pd.

Anyway, on a lighter note - do you have to print the maps Lindy was talking about yourself or can they send them to you? I got as far as printing it myself but our ink is useless at the minute and we still havent got round to fetching more ink cartridges:rolleyes: - we've been in the shop about 5 times since and we still come out without them. Duh!

Abby - we too are doing the pirate museum - I think theres only one scary bit - you enter a room and it goes pitch black once the door is shut - we'll be skipping this part. If you tell the guide when you first start he can warn you when its that room and let you skip it. As far as I know the rest of it isnt scarey.

Jeff - please keep posting - we're all one big happy family on here :grouphug: . It can be difficult sometimes to get the tone of someones post and things can be taken out of context . I shove a load of smilies in mine to show I'm only kidding and I hope no-one has ever been hurt or annoyed by anthing I've written. I know whats happened is now in the past and you dont want to refer to it and have withdrawn whatever you put on, but please continue to post. We all miss you:goodvibes

OK, thats it for now, I'm off to lie down cos I still feel a bit icky - geez - I am SUCH A WUSS.

No gym for me today - I'd probably fly off the back of the treadmill:eek:

Take care everybody and play nice together;)

That'll be great then. I don't have anything to compare it to either. We snorkeled at St. Maarten. It was a great little island, but not a lot of color.

We still really enjoyed it though.

Robin

I wish I could snokel. Tried in Antigua last year and gave up after a couple of tries. The swell of the sea kept taking me under the boat, so I gave up.

I agree about doing KW on our own. My sister wants to book the train/tram (whatever it is) excursion but I just can't see spending the money.

We've done the tram thingy at KW. The most I remember is trying to hear what the driver/commentator was saying. We all fell asleep and Rick had left his video camera on, and the only footage he got was of his foot.  I think you can cover the important places on foot.

Karen - I had to have a blood test last week - first one ever. Rick had to come with me as I'm phobic about needles. :scared1: He begged me to release his hand when my nails nearly drew his blood!!!

Jeff - come back. How else will I know what's going on on the Repo thread.

We had a lovely Easter weekend - the sun shone and the temperatures headed towards the 20's c.

Have a good day everyone.

Heather

Lots of "dust stuff" for your sister. And here's a little something for you!

The maps I ordered were not printable by me. Also, I think I recall Linda saying that because she was in the UK, she couldn't order them.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Heather, we actually have "footage" ourselves when Chuck is in charge of the video camera. Except he is wide awake when he captured the shots!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for your help
Janice

You're welcome!:)

Hope you and your sister feel better, Karen.

As for the maps, I was just going to post that I think it's another one of those "freebies" that Disney won't send out of the US.

BUT...I saw in the fine print last night that people can order a set every 6 months. So...that just means that Nancy will have to order some for Linda and I will have to order some for Karen and then we will send them across the ocean.

Easy! :wizard:

Karen & Brenda,

I just went back to that site and saw that we can print them out ourselves! Never saw that the first time.

BTW...They are personalized with your last name.

Jeff - please keep posting

Jeff - come back. How else will I know what's going on on the Repo thread.

Karen/Heather,

I am not going anywhere. I will still be posting. It is just a very busy week this week. Personal Income Taxes are due early next week here in the US and as a side business, I do them for about 3 dozen people. I have 7 that I have to deliver this week and 2 more people have contacted me yesterday and wanted me to do theirs. To top it off, I haven't done my own yet. At work it is the middle of the month, so payroll, regular checks and financial statements (15 total) need to be done.

Heather, I actually haven't been posting or reading much over on the Repo thread. You want to talk about a thread that is non-cruise related, that's the one. Anything that is relavent will be posted in the first post, so I decided not to committ much time to that thread. It will be impossible to meet up with a group that size. There are a couple of DISers that I will meet up with, but will arrange that through PMs.

Jeff

Hi everyone!! I am just looking up this trip. haven't read any of the posts yet, just wanted to say hi. I will be on this cruise with DH, DD 11 and DD 4. We are leaving DS 2 behind with Grandma and Granddad. Not many excursions he can do.:guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:
Are there any talking between girls yet. I would love for DD 11 to get on the ship already knowing some girls. We are also traveling with friends. We are looking forward to the trip. It is my 5th Disney cruise and my husbands 6th Disney cruise. I'll explain that later. Someone please try to catch me up on who's coming and a little info on family members. I will try to read some but 351 pages is alot!!!

Welcome GoofyFreak.

There is a kids thread start. Here is the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1263210

Not sure how many kids are your DD11's age. I know there are some girls in the 14-16 range and other kids in the 5-8 range. She can post there to see who else is going. She will be too young to go to the Stack, however.

Again welcome. If you have any questions, post them here. There are many seasoned cruisers here that can answer them.

I couldnt WAIT till this evening to have a quick read !

so Ive just had a quick look through.

Cass, Kiras photos as usual are simply stunning and VERY VERY cute ! thanks for sharing.

Sean, Medicial man, glad you popped in to the thread, even if it was so quick. Good luck with your degree, I know how hard it must be to study, and coming on here is NOT a good way to spend time when you have studying to do, the time seems to fly !:confused3
Brenda sadly isnt coming on the cruise now ( unless I get a lottery win) and Nancy has b een joined my her family. So our table is now down to 6. Your family and mine. Perhaps we should PM each other to discuss what we want to do.... keep a smaller table, or let disney choose table mates etc....

Rose, Scouter, good luck with your new job, those hours must get some getting use to.

Nancy, hows Chucks aunt ? Thinking of her and wishing her a painless time.

Poohbush, I love Prision break and 24 .................... Wayne thinks im crazy b ut I love Lost too. TV addict me :confused3 :rotfl:

Paige thanks for the link to the butterfly farm, we were thinking of doing this. Great info:thumbsup2

Karen, I think you are well brave, I know i would be just as scared, at least its in a good cause, if it helps your sister. Ive been thinking about you both over the weekened, and sending positive vibes to you.

Brenda, love the map idea thanks!

Sorry if I forgot anybody, my eyes are glazing over! I feel so sorry for a newbie trying to read all the info on this thread ! yikes ! :scared1:

Welcome Goofyfreak:welcome: party:

We're all really chatty on here so just dive in and join us and have fun.

Lindy Loo - welcome back:hug: Hope Elouise is enjoying her easter hols. Love the photo.

Everybody - Thank you all for your kind wishes and pd for my sister. I had just lay down this afternoon when the estate agent rang :scared1: - (havent heard off her in well over a week)with a viewer for tonight, so like an idiot I said yes and been cleaning and ironing ever since. I only have to vacuum and I'm finished. Why is Neil always at work when its time to clean for a viewing? Even the garden was a pigsty with balls and toys everywhere and the BBQ and tables out etc. I have been a bit behind cos of having Ellis off school and going out for daytrips etc I had only been doing the necessary stuff, - serves me right really, but I could have done without it today:sad2: .. Whats the betting the bl**dy viewer doesnt even show up:confused3 - oh well, I have a nice and tidy house again.

Jeff - geez - you do sound busy! We dont have to do our own tax returns in the uk unless we're self employed. Neil used to have to do one, but just used to tick Not applicable or just guess most of the answers:lmao: - we were probably owed ££££ over the years but he could never be bothered to figure out how to do it. All his workmates used to get tax rebates, but he was too lazy to work it all out. Luckily his company now do it for him. Try to spend a few minutes away from the books to come and say hi each day (and to bump us of course):goodvibes

Chris - you are naughty! - "fresh meat" indeed..... you'll be scaring them away :scared1:

bye everyone - fingers crossed the buyer turns up - I'm off to hoover! - yipeeeeeeeeeeee - lifes just one long party:cool1:
