October 2014

Finally all booked up! Oct 19-25, with both my parents and in-laws coming down for different periods of time. I've got so much planning to do!

Hi all! We're hoping to go 10/4-10/11, but may end up doing the week before. Kind of depends on possible (hopeful) discounts. Also thinking about running (and I use that term very loosely) the Tower of Terror 10 miler. Will probably stay at Pop. Hubby and I both started new jobs recently so we had to forgo our usual January vacation. :( hoping for warm weather and low crowds!!

:wizard:

Not booked yet but thinking October 18-25. Consider AoA but hoping for FD so we can upgrade to moderate! Last trips were September and May. Hoping October crowds are low and weather is reasonably mild!!

I received an email for up to 35% off on a room only booking. It goes through the middle of September...and has 9 days left until it expires. I'm hoping they will have one out shortly after that one is done!

We are booked from 9/28-10/6 at CSR. I was going to go the week before Columbus Day, but the flights were more expensive so I adjusted our dates some. I bought plane tickets so we are locked in. Lol. This will be our first trip and I'm sooooo excited. My poor hubby thinks that once we go, I will "get it out of my system". Little does he know that I am trying to get him hooked... :goodvibes Can't wait!

We are AP holders and go a good bit. But we definitely already have our Food & Wine reservations booked! Most favorite time of the year to go! We have 2 trips planned. The first is from Sept. 26-Oct.9th. This reservation will be split between BWV and Coronado Springs business class.
Then, we will be back on Oct. 24th-Nov. 6th. We have the whole 13 nights booked at POFQ. Can't wait!!!:cool1:

I am starting to get concerned about my dates of 10/11 - 10/18. It's Columbus Day week and I've been hearing more and more that schools give a recess now. I am wondering just how much this will affect crowds.

Is it a good idea to move my reservation to the following week? I'd have to talk my friend into switching her week off at work.. but if I believe I can do it if necessary. I didn't realize it was Columbus Day when I made my original reservation.

Hi all-
We'll be joining you all Oct 23 -27!! Very excited to be going for our 13th Food & Wine :cool1::) We'll be staying at BLT - love my 'home' with my adult daughter, and my brother and sister-in-law(their first F&W!). It can't come soon enough!

Hi, we are planning to go Oct 26th to either Nov 2 or 5th. It's me my, DH, and 3 DD. We haven't been to DW since 2006 and I'm working hard to save that money and hopefully book by October this year. Hoping our dates in 2014 are free dining dates or a good room discount. It's expensive for the five us, especially since we have to fly :(

So glad you started this thread my poor DH is getting sick of me talking about it already. He needs some Disney magic.

I am so glad for this post too. My DH is sooo sick of me talking about it already because it is 8 months away. But he will enjoy all the perfect planning when we get there :)

Food and Wine usually begins the last weekend in September and if I am not mistaken it runs until about the second weekend in November. We usually go every October. Have not officially booked for 2014 yet but I'm joining this thread now so that when we do book I won't have to search for the thread then, lol. Hoping for free dining so won't be booking until late summer probably. But in the meantime I am going Jan. 23-26. DH is going golfing with his friends all day every day so I will hit EPCOT and MK by myself two days. Can't wait!

Disney just announced the dates for F&W and the festival will start one week earlier than usual, 9/19/2014 - 11/10/2014.

We are in! We booked 10-17 at AoA tonight! Us, our three daughters (7, 3 and 2) and hopefully my mom. :dance3: We are so excited!

We chose the dates because of my mother's fall break. The next week looks much less crowded. If she can't make it we will probably switch, too.

My traveling companion is going to try and move her vacation.. once I mentioned less crowds, she was all over that. As long as someone else doesn't have that week off, she can move it.

Been on here for months waiting for our time to book. Finally booked this morning for ASMo for October 27 to November 3. Hoping to extend that a day or two when free dining is announced.

Count Us In :cool1:
Staying at AoA Little Mermaid Rooms October 6th to the 20th

We are going for Halloween this year and my MIL is joining us for a couple of days.

Oct. 28 - Nov. 4 at POR Riverside

Question, if they offer free dining or any discount offer, will they give me a refund? I have had my reservations changed in the past but I never had the trip paid off already when the offer came out.

Can't wait to go the Food and Wine festival also.

We are staying at Universal for a few days before to check out the new Harry Potter area. DH and our boys are going to the Horror nights also.

If free dining or a room only discount comes out you have to call and request the refund they won't automatically apply it. If your trip is already paid off they will refund the card that was used to pay it off.
