October 2013!

Hi all! Just decided to take DD for a short mom/daughter trip in Oct. she loves MNSSHP and I'll use any excuse to go to Disney! We'll be there 5-9 and go to the party on the 6th. Can't wait!

October 19-23! With my sister. Hopefully BWI again, just waiting for discounts to be released. Haven't booked anything yet. Planning to do PFTS & MNSSHP again, had a blast with both last year.

Well, my partner and I are all set to be in WDW October 25th through November 1st. I made my DME reservations today, too, since we have our flights, and that always makes it seem so much more real. :goodvibes

We'll be staying at All-Star Music for the first time, and I'm hoping we're relatively close to the main building/bus stop. We stayed at AoA last time in the Little Mermaid rooms and that was a heck of a hike after a long day at the parks.

We're pretty set on which park we're going to which day and are planning on going to MNSSHP on the 27th. We did the MVMCP last year and had a good time, so we think it will be fun. Plus, we'll squeeze a little more Magic Kingdom time in. My big surprise for my partner is that we're going on the Keys to the Kingdom tour (also on the 27th). I'll probably tell her about it that morning. I'm pretty excited about that.

Other than that, we have a few ADRs set up (including Be Our Guest) and are looking forward to trying stuff out at F&W, since we've never been to it before. We're a little sad that we won't have free dining this time around, but we'll figure it out. It's actually kinda nice not to have to worry about getting X number of ADRs set up for our trip and having a bit more flexibility, since we'll be doing more quick-service restaurants this time.

If you don't have a preferred room booked, request the Jazz section of the resort at ASM for the shortest walk.

We are staying at AofA in a LM room this October and the walk from the bus to my room is the only part of the trip that I'm not looking forward to.

Oh, are the Calypso rooms "preferred rooms"? Good to know! I still have to call and make that request.

And yeah...the walk is rough. It's cute, since you get to walk through Africa/The Lion King, but yeah...I'm glad we were close to the front of one of the two closer LM buildings; I don't know what we would've done if we were in the far one.

Since our trip is so "last minute" (in disney terms, anyway) I have finally settled on (and made) the only two ADRs we'll have for our three days at Disney. We're going to Kona after Hollywood Studios closes on the 21st, and breakfast at 1900 Park Fare on the 22nd before we head over to DTD and DisneyQuest.

I could make this trip a lot cheaper without ANY ADRs, but Kona was where DD and I had our only "mother-daughter" dinner on our first trip to WDW, and we'll be a twosome there again this trip, so it's a nice thing for our third trip. And I'd like to do a breakfast, and we were super happy with 1900 Park Fare last trip.

Still need to buy tickets for the MNSSHP on the 20th, though...

Yes, Calypso is preferred, Jazz is beside Calypso, then comes the too far to walk buildings :rotfl:. If you check out the map of ASM, you'll see what I mean.

We'll be there! Myself aka "Mom" (33), my mother aka "Gma" (71), and my daughter aka "Mini" (7). This will be my 3rd trip and my mom and daughter's 2nd. We're planning on doing MNSSHP, probably on the 17th. We're staying at Caribbean Beach :)
I have to share the AWESOME deal we got! By utilizing a sale on airfare and changing our arrival date to Thursday (instead of friday the 18th), we are actually saving $93 on our trip! (saved $300 on airfare and extra day at parks/hotel room was $200, extra day of parking was $7) Doesn't happen very often that you'd get PAID to stay at Disney an extra day! LOL
Hope to see some of you there!!

That's awesome!!!! I was all giddy when I added a day bc the price of airfare was $40 cheaper per person so adding a day was only $200 more lol. You beat me by a mile haha. Go you!!!

I love a great deal! congrats! :woohoo:

Well we did it....not only did we add one night to our reservation, but we are now going to MNSSHP on 10/6. I wasn't originally going to buy the tickets, but then I decided that since we are going in October it would be kind of crazy if we didn't go to one of the biggest parties of the year :goodvibes. I don't think the girls are going to dress up, I will probably just buy them each a MNSSHP t-shirt to wear and they can bring their mouse ears to wear. They just want to go and trick-or-treat and see the Villans, while I want to go and see the headless horseman, watch the parade, and see Hallowishes .

I also was able to get all of my ADRs that I wanted including a breakfast before the park opens at CRT and a BOG dinner, even though it is a late dinner (8:55pm), I am so excited that we are going :goodvibes. Now I have to check for airfare and then buy our tickets and dining plan.

Too funny! I just added a day to our trip and we are going to the 10/6 MNSSHP, as well! This a is a trip for just DD and I - I am sure she will be dressing up! :goodvibes

I booked our plane tickets finally. And our two ADRs. Haven't actually booked our resort yet, but hoping to do that this weekend.

:cool1:...have fun!!!! If you see a group of 4 with a blue DVC backpack and a LGM hanging from it, don't hesitate to stop us and say hi :goodvibes. We love getting stopped by other DISers.

YAAAAYYYYY I booked my airfare today! But I also added on an extra day to my trip! Now we'll be there from 10/19-10/28 a nice long vacation! I am so excited! Only 100 days to go...

Now it's official! :woohoo: I see you are from Buffalo. Do you have a particular airline that you usually use? We flew out of Buffalo last year for the first time and loved it.

My Fiancee and I are doing a split stay BWV and BLT 9/29-10/12 for our honeymoon. This is our longest trip by far and we couldn't be more excited. Good thing I stumbled across this thread with only 74 days to go instead of 18 months when it was first started!

Planning on being there October 21st to October 29th or 30th! Super excited for Food and Wine as well as the Halloween festives!
