New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Just got an invitation from Chase for the Disney Inspire and I was so excited for a minute that they changed their minds on my approval. But, turns out it is just an invitation to switch. So, no $300 gift card or $300 bonus later. What is interesting is it says, "Invitation to switch is valid through April 30, 2026."

Chase is just playing on FOMO. If you’re past a year on your card they will upgrade you whenever you ask as long as you qualify.
I just got that email “invite” as well. I wonder if the hard date is to see how many upgrades they can secure without dangling a carrot. I know in the last I’ve gotten spend bonuses for upgrading between the no fee and the premier card. I’m waiting it out!

Apparently mine came yesterday afternoon as well. I clicked on the learn more and no upgrade bonus so I will join the que behind you and wait.

Same here on waiting. I can save 5% with gift cards and 3% with other cards. So, I'm waiting to see if the $100 credit applies to special events tickets.

Sorry if I missed in this long thread, but any idea if the financing will work for paying off a DCL cruise booked through Costco Travel? I have not received my card or membership packet yet.

I believe you are free to downgrade at anytime though the banks frown upon that too if you haven't held the card for a year.
Is it best to wait the full year until your fee is charged if downgrading then? I did not close my basic Disney card and dont think the Inspire will be worth the 149 fee for me after this first year, so I have some time to think about it but I will mostly just keep the fee free card.

Yes if you are past a certain point its best to hold onto it since it's already been paid. After the AF is charged they will refund it if you call within a certain time frame, usually you have at least 30 days to get a full refund of it.

I'm confused or am I missing something?

Are you just calling in general about the tickets or do you have an Inspire too that you purchased the tickets with as I didn't think the premier had a credit for them.

Hopefully I'm just confused lol
Sorry...mixed topics there. I did get the inspire and purchased the After Hours tickets with it so waiting to see if that triggers the 100 statement credit. The other was a non related comment that I would be downgrading my premier to the classic rewards since I didn't need 2 cards with an annual fee and then when I called to do that, I would ask about the statement credit on the inspire. :)

Thank you! I wanted to assume that was the case but then it's like maybe not :)

It should remain the same as before. Costco is just the TA in this case and not processing the CC charge and it will go through Disney to grant the 0% for 6 months.

Also noting if you live in MA you are required by law to get a pro-rated AF refund if you cancel after the banks grace period.

Deleting both doesn't mean not having the number of the physical saved somewhere secure. It just prevents a card from being drained of your Disney account is hacked. If I were to lose the physical, I would address that by quickly adding it back to the Disney account (from the saved location, I use a password manager) then transferring the balance to another card in my possession.

Though I like doing, even better, what you already do: just charge to the folio as much as you can and pay it off the night beforeb with a gift card.

As to whether the CC is worth it without using the $200 credit, I think it might be if you max out the other two credits. Still a net savings if you don't already get D+ free with some other CC and can use $100 off tickets. Of course it's a lot better if you can max the $200--doesn't have to be in one stay!
So if. Get the e gift card it can be added to the physical just like how I always combine? Before I sign up I want to make sure that it can be used for dining or golf so if it’s like a regular e gift card I can add to my previous existing physical card?

Thanks, appreciate the comment. I assumed so since the deposit was charged through Disney as you said. I've only had a Disney debit and wanted to get a credit card so I didn't have to keep using my debit for discounts on my upcoming WDW, DCL, and Aulani trips and happened to time it at this new card's release.

Yes. I immediately added mine to a physical card without issue.

Like #1Disfann, I immediately transferred the Inspire digital gift card to one of my physical Disney gift cards with no problem :goodvibes
