***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

Count us in! Oct 13-21. Celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary w/ the kids. Currently booked AKV CL but are hoping to split the stay w/ BLT at 7 months out. Our first Food & Wine as well. I'm hungry already!

Welcome! And no it isnt bad! It might be a little crazy but I'm guilty too! lmfao! We're getting luggage for Christmas and I have seriously considered laying the suit cases out (like WHEN we get them) so I can throw stuff in them until the trip!

OH NO!!! You're my sister from another Mister! Every trip I get the groans from my DH when I ask him to take the luggage out months in advance. If I were getting new luggage, I wouldn't put it away either!

My husband just told me he has two business conferences in Orlando in October So we will be there the third week in October or so. Have not finalized the exact dates since we will be adding a couple of days after his conferences to enjoy food and wine festival and hopefully MNSSHP

Yup. I went in 1994! We stayed off site in a condo. I don't remember how many park days we had but not too many and that was before AK was built. I know we went to Universal Studios. I was 15.

When we go in Sept we will come home only a week before my oldest turns 15!

We are going Sept 21 - Oct 3 and staying at Coronado Springs. Most of our time is in Sept but we will be there a few days in Oct

I downloaded a widget on my phone that counts down to Disney. It appears as a white mickey head with the number inside on the screen. So cute! 317 days to go!

I have this widget too! I get nervous when my older kids play with my phone. If they scroll through a couple pages on my phone they will see the 2 Mickey head widgets...one for our Oct trip (a surpise trip for them) and one for our Dec 2012 trip. I'm worried they will see it and ask what the second one is for...I figure I will tell them its to remind me to make ADR's.

Anyways, always puts a smile on my face to see those widgets

Havent really been on this thread since posting our dates earlier this month. So excited to be at 330 days

I started a PTR back in Oct (link above my ticker if anyone would like to read) and picked up a few odds and ends during Halloween clearance for our trip next year.

Last night when I was trying to get caught up in my reading of this post, I saw something about ADR's people were hoping for. We dont have many since we are only staying for 3 nights and will have 3 TS meals paid for, but here is what I am thinking...or...hoping for

Arrival night 10/17- Ohana (hopefully finishing early enough so we can get back to our room to watch fireworks from our balcony)
Bkfst - 10/18 CM (early)
10/19 F&W, CS if needed
Bkfst - 10/20 Ohana

not 100% sure on CS meals...probably will do something at the resort 10/18, something at Epcot 10/19 if we arent too full on F&W samples, 10/20 something at resort (assuming we can get a late flight).

Not too many ADRs to have to worry about for this trip since its so short.

lol Yup! Had a funny fb conversation with my american 2nd cousin last night about just that.

Next year while we're in Florida it will be Canadian Thanksgiving. So we plan on going to the Canada Pavillion that day! Monday October 8th (same day as your Columbus Day).

September 28th - November 11th 2012


We don't have Thanksgiving here but hope everyone in the USA has a great day tomorrow! I wish we did have it as a holiday, plus all the foods you have look delicious .. at least I can put up the Christmas decorations soon hehe

We always have an anniversary trip on Columbus Day weekend. I never knew it was Canada's Thanksgiving Day! Will try to get over to Canada sometime that day. Our anniversary will be the next day, the 9th!
