***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

We just decided on 10/25-10/31 for fall break next year!

LMFAO I'm totally going to plan another trip after this one. I think to Disneyland!

I know!! I really do want to change my dates!!! It would be awesome to see all of you! And it knocks 20 days off of my countdown!

I am still hoping that Ben and I can go to DL next year! But with flights being so expensive, we might just have to wait a little longer! It's no big deal though, because I know eventually I'll go!
It would be so awesome to go to DL, though and see all the differences!

I've already been talking to Ben about a Dec. 2013 trip back to WDW, and I think he's good with it!!

This is a sickness, I tell ya! lol

October IS far away. But it's a lot closer than it was!

I can't move my dates up, but booking a bonus trip in May helped the time go by faster!

Yes, it is ALOT closer than it was!! I think the anticipation will make this trip even more memorable and exciting!!

I bet you will have so much fun in May on your trip! Just about 6 more months for that one! It splits the wait for the Oct. trip in half!!

I know...its taking forever!! This Oct trip is our "bonus" trip. Our big trip is next Dec. I am going nuts still reading MNSSHP/F&W trip reports...and now I keep seeing all the Christmas PTR's...I keep thinking our time will never get here, but then I know it will be all over with too soon.

I know what you mean!! I can't wait for the trip to get here, but then again, I know I'll be sad when it's over! Then I'll have to countdown a year all over again!
DH and I are thinking about going Dec. 2013, so I'll be looking forward to hearing about your Dec. 2012 trip as well! I'm sure it will be a blast!

Okay, I had my first "this trip is never going to get here" moment this last weekend!!! It seems like Oct. will nevvvver get here!! I can't wait until we atleast get to the single digit month dance! hahaha
I'm about to drive my husband crazy talking about this trip, I'm positive he's more ready for this trip to be over with so I'll stop talking about it...little does he know I'll just start planning another one when we get back!
It's a never ending cycle! hahaha

I picked my dates because my birthday is October 5 so we're going the first week of Oct. Honestly, any time in October except Columbus Day weekend is a great time to go. Low crowds and not too hot (unless there's a freakish heat wave!).

We chose our time b/c its when my kids and DH are off from school/work for Fall break. We are flying out on a Wed, so we are pulling the kids out a day early and DH is leaving work a day early. We are just headed down for a few days for MNSSHP and F&W.

Lots of locals do come in on the weekends for F&W, so it tends to be busier then, as well as Columbus Day weekend being busier.

Hello from England!! we have just booked SSR for 15 nights from the 1st October till the 16th and I'm sooo excited I've been going since a child and have managed to take my own family every over yr since they was a yr old! I'm a Disney nut and although to start with my hubby never was that excited to even go,since that 1st trip he has been hooked we normally go in sep/October it's definayly my fab month to go as I love Halloween and even though us Brits are getting better at celebrating it ......it's just not as good as Disney or the US!!! I've never stayed at SsR and I'm a little scared of the size even driving through on the bus it looked HUGE but I got a great deal for 6 of us in a 2bed with free DdP so couldn't pass on it I adore pop & so do the boys we have stayed their twice last time we did AkL adored that place I'm a little worried it won't be Disney enough for us! But I'm jut thrilled to be going all ibhave to do now is pray flight prices come down after Xmas as they are pretty high right now.sorry for long post I jut get carried away when talking Disney

Well it acted like it worked by telling me my new balance was only $980...but it's back to saying I owe $2980! So I checked my CC and the $2000 is definately not on there!

Ah, the good old Disney website...great when it works, awful when it doesnt. I had the same type of thing happen a few months ago when making a payment. The screen just froze up right in the middle of the authorization. I had no idea if it went through or not. My trip balance reflected the lower amount. I found out a few days later the payment did go through.

All I know is that the dining portion better be working right when it comes time to make ADR's. Seems like I am ALWAYS reading about glitches there.

Anyways, as much of a pain as it is, you could always call and make the payment. I just hate calling them...unless I have a good portion of the afternoon to play 20 questions.

I agree the CMs are nice on the phone, I just seem to get stuck on the phone forever with them I guess what I hate the most is going through all the prompts to actually get to a person.

Anyways, must have been some weird glitch like you said. At least it wasnt the last day to make payment...that would be awful. I need to make payments on both trips and hopefully everything works right.

It would be me, hubby, DS(4), DD(1) and my parents. Going 10/26-10/29, and we are super excited!!! It's going to be blast having the F&W festival in our "yard" hahaha. This is the first time we are gonna have hoppers to enjoy it, and also the first time going to MNSSHP. DS is TOO excited about it, he asks me to watch the parade on Youtube about 3 times a week lol. He can't wait to trick or treat at the Magic Kingdom.... and I can't wait to see my little princess's face on her first time to the World

Congrats on booking your trip! Your trip sounds a bit like ours. We are staying just a couple nights to take the kiddos to MNSSHP and for DH and I to enjoy a little of F&W. We have 2 little ones who will be seeing the "world" for the first time too. How exciting! And YC...that will be so much fun
