***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

Just made my ADRs for October. We will be at BWV from Oct28th-Nov2nd. I have The Rose & Crown @ 7:05PM Oct 28th our 1st night, Sci-Fi @ 8:15PM Oct 29th after a day at HS & Via Napoli @ 5:45pm Oct 31st for our 5th anniversary together :lovestruc:banana:

We'll be at our happy place from October 23-30! :woohoo: I booked this trip the day after we returned from our last, May 2nd! We'll be at WBC for the first time, ADRs have all been taken care of and our days are being planned -- can't wait!

I'll wave across the lake to you. We're at YC from Oct. 27th-Nov. 3. And we'll be celebrating 10 years together...although the date is actually the 24th, but we'll celebrate a few days later instead.

We are staying at WBC from the 22nd - 30th! So funny!! We have two girls aged 8 and 12 when we go. We have everything planned so far as well, just need to purchase our MNSSHP tickets for the 26th. What does your schedule look like? We are planning on hanging out at the resort on the 26th and 27th. We stayed at WBC in Jan and we can't wait to use the pools and lazy rivers more this time around!

Orded MNSSHP tickets for Oct 18th!! This will be my second party, my first was in 2005 when I was on the Disney College Program. It's my mom's first party and she can't wait!!:jumping1:

Your post caught my eye! My 14-year-old DD is already planning her application for the Disney College Program. So excited to see someone who has been through it! :cool1:

Got our CRT for early am on 10/28 :goodvibes
Now, just hoping for a dvc opening @ BCV, otherwise we'll be at the Swan 10/17-11/4. yay.

Made another ADR today for Yak and Yeti one day for lunch. We have eaten their CS a few times but never at the TS. So excited!

Yesterday DH decided he wants to go vegetarian for a while (he wants to lose a little weight and tone up some more). Then today he was naming all of the foods he won't get to eat...(bbq chicken salad from Flame Tree BBQ, lasagna from TRex, sample platter from 50s Prime Time and all the yummy burgers he loves from the resort). Every 10 minutes he is sending me another text (this last one was "every chinese chicken entree" and "OMG I forgot about Earl of Sandwich!" :rotfl: )

IF he keeps this up until October, can anyone please suggest some yummy meat free meals for him to try (CS & TS because we are a fan of eat and go and rarely plan more then 2-3 TS a trip). He is still going to eat fish BUT he JUST started trying fish a week ago for the first time. Any suggestions would be appreciated because I know he really wants to stick to this until he is happy with his health completely.

Thank you!!!!! :cutie:

Hi!

I just did a quick search on the Disney Food Blog for 'vegetarian' and it comes up with a number of articles... for example Best WDW Restaurants for Vegetarians which might be of help - also All Ears has most WDW menus on their site, so your husband could look through them to see what vegetarian options are available?
I have heard that the chefs at the Disney restaurants are more than happy to adapt dishes to make them vegetarian/vegan - you can contact WDW in advance or let your server know once you're there :thumbsup2

Thank you for the info. Last night when he said that, the first thing I did was head over to All Ears because I wanted to check out the food of the places we already booked ADRs for.

I figured by October, if he is still trying to go meatless, that he will have it pretty much under control. Until he sees the Thai Chili wings from Yak & Yeti that I have been wanting. :scratchin

Hi All! DD and I went to Home Depot last night to get a new steam cleaner and while we were there we were going to pick up the green Mickey head paint swatches, but they don't carry them anymore! Does anyone know if this is the case all over or if we can get them somewhere else? We wanted to put some sort of design in our window and so fellow Disers could find us.

Unfortunately, they have pulled them (or still in the process of pulling them) from ALL of the stores. You'll have to make your own with a printer or craft paper.

We are attending our 1st MNSSHP this October Just a few Questions. Do you use the ticket to get onto the turnstiles or you park tickets? I found the list of Character meet and greets from last year and is there anyway to do all of the characters meet and greets in one night or is that too much?

As long as you enter the park at or after 4pm (this is the unofficial entry time allowed), you only need your MNSSHP ticket. It would be extrememly difficult to see everyone. My suggestion is to arrive at 4pm and meet anyone that is a regular MK character, grab a quick bite at a QS place and then line up no later than 6:15 for your top priority party only character. Then, have a list in order of who you most want to see. Once the first party takes place, you will be able to make a good plan as we will know the exact location of everyone available.

Add me to the group going in October! We will be a POFQ from Oct 7-14.
Can't wait to celebrate DS's 6th birthday with his friends and pirate:pirate:!

I started a PTR just for fun... here so as not to drive my DH crazy with all my planning. ;)
