***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

LOL! I feel your pain! Our dates are 10/26-11/4. I was looking at the Oct hours and so many of our days have MK closing at 7 for MNSSHP. I have to keep reminding myself that I have are more days coming to me later on.

I know! We're going to be there 10/27-11/3. We're not doing parks on 10/27 as we're getting off the Fantasy that morning and heading to KSC. And we weren't planning on doing any parks on Halloween and just doing MNSSHP.
I need to plan, gosh darn it!

Same here. But at least it's only a couple days. And Nov. 3rd won't be a park day for us since we didn't get 8 days of tickets.

We were just able to change some of our club level days at the AKV to a 2 BR at the BCV. YIPPEE! It's our first stay there and couldn't be a better time of year to do so! WOOT!

I just have to keep repeating...it's just 2 days, it's just 2 days. And we can't make ADR's for a while yet, and the Nov. hours will be out about a month from now, still plenty of time to plan those. I have to keep telling myself these things, especially since I was trying to plan all my days 2 months ago when I didn't have a clue.

I'm not going the first week...but I thought that most weeks there are only three parties...Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. That's what I'd heard the schedule usually is. And that the only week where that would differ is Halloween week where there is MNSSHP on Halloween night plus Nov. 1.

I believe I've read in other posts about the party that Tuesday is the less crazy of the 3 nights. We are actually going Halloween week, and I think we're going to shoot for the Nov. 1 party. I'm thinking most people will want to go Halloween night or the night before, so I think we'll go the day after...if there is a party, which we won't really know for about another month.

My DH and I are booked for 5 nights at POR... we're staying 10/14 to 10/19. This trip is to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and will be just the two of us!

If you are not staying on-site that seems to be the general consensus but since we stay on-site, we utilize the EMH. If it gets really busy after the first several hours, we'll leave and hit another park. It's amazing how much you can get done in those morning hours and the evening hours too, especially from 11-12am, the crowd really thins out.

This is the same info that I heard....MNSSHP dates are release sometime in mid-late April and tickets go on sale May 1.

Returning to Walt Disney World October 8-12! We will be celebrating our engagement anniversary which actually took place at the Magic Kingdom. We are both super excited and can't wait to return! We will be booking next month but trying to hold out and see if I get a PIN code for this trip. We will be returning to Pop Century for our stay.

Joining in on the October fun!

I thought about pushing this year's trip off until the Christmas season, but last year's October trip was so much fun...between MNSSHP, the Food & Wine festival, and the most perfect weather for strolling around the parks...it was hard to pass up another autumn trip.

DH and I will be at the Swan from October 13th to 19th, a week earlier than last year due to the Gartner Symposium being held from the 21st to 25th. Also, we're hoping NOT to repeat having our flight home canceled due to a freak snowstorm in NY!

Only 28 days to ADRs! Can't wait!
