so i am going to be brave and do d.i.y next year and we are going for 9 nights
we are going to stay on i-drive as we mainly want to do universal seaworld etc this time and then go back in 2014 to disney when dd finishes school (she wants to stay at animal kingdom and i cant afford that next year lol)

i know that obviously flight prices wont be available til november december time this year but i was wondering as we want to go in half term will all airlines hike thier proces up or is it mainly uk airlines like virgin ,b.a etc ?

i just really have no idea how much to budget and i dont want to find that i dont have enough to book flights as i know that they will have to be paid in full

also am i right in thinking that if i wanted to stop over in new york for 2 nights that would make it a lot more expensive ??

i am a bit new to all this being the daughter of a travel agent i am a package holiday queen lol

We are going away this half term and got a great deal last sept with virgin holidays

14 nights staying in a 1 bed villa in disneys Saratoga springs resort with free dining, 14 day disney tickets, flights and ,v room access for 2 adults and 2 infants for 2995

We went October half term 2010 and are going half term 2011.

Prices are for 2 adults and 1 child.

2010 we booked 6 months out and paid £1850 with jetsave for virgin from mancheter inc intermediate car and all insurance. TBH I strugged to get a flight so late at a price I would pay - DH haggled to get that price.

For 2011, I booked the day flights were released beginning December 2010. Virgin atlantic wanted £2500 for flight only. I paid £1540 with us airways via philadelphia. Continental were the same price. I actually booked with thomas cook online as they had a deal to save another £200 if you booked flight plus hotel and they were the same price as US airways direct.

I think if you are prepraed to go indirect you will be fine.

well after saying we werent going to go onsite the family have kicked up a fuss and said why not !!!

so we are back to square one !!

i can get saratoga springs for 9 nights with tickets for £1939 and then thats dining taken care of

to put in into comparison wilderness lodge for the same time with flights dining plan and tickets with thomson is £5000 !

and that is only for a week

my worry is that if i book with complete orlando the flights will be expensive but i cant see that i would pay 3000 for 4 flights ?

As long as you are willing to consider indirect and book as soon as flights are released you will be fime imo.

Maybe check with complete orlando what fees they would charge if you need to move your booking by a day or two to fit in with flights.
