So HAPPY I got a FD pin!!!!! We are all booked and saved $$$ so exciting!!!!!

We are a family of 5 + 1 cousin.

Just got off the phone, no pin for FD or a room discount was attached to my name. I've done all the tricks, but just set up another email address so hoping pixie dust will help bring me a pin. Does anyone know when the public promotion might come out?

I know exactly how you feel, I'm in the same boat. I have done everything to try to get a discount saved vacation quotes, sent for the DVD, sent for the custom maps , called and asked several times, and made an extra email and nothing

I got SO excited! Received a mailing with free dining for Fall. When I called, only QS for a levels! BOO HISS! I am holding out for regular FD! Let's hope it is SOON! (I think it's coming!

OK So I tried everything too...called...check my e-mails and my husbands e-mails and we both have nothing!!!! I even e-mailed them and asked them how it if picked and they state it is all random!!! When I called the lady I got told me to keep trying every so often to check just to be sure!!! I really hope we get something for FD because it would save us a lot!!!!

I was told that after saving some vacations under my login, signing up for maps, etc, I should call once a month to see if I had any PINs attached to my name/email address. So far this year, I have had something a little bit different attached each time I've called. This month, it was 20% of any resort, last month it was 10% and the month before that it was free QS dining (which I also got via snail mail) and is the PIN I'm using right now.

I'll check back in June and hope for something better than what I have now. Historically, Disney doesn't announce public offers for October until later in the summer.

Don't give up hope. PINs are just the icing on the Disney cake. Even though you might not get any icing, you still have the cake! And who doesn't like cake?!?!

I don't believe it is random. I called one time and they told me they sent me one in the springtime - a few months after our trip. They know very well we go every October. That is why they sent one in the spring. They knew we wouldn't use it!

This year I have been bombarded with pins.

Purely speculative, but I think it's because my last several trips have been off-site. However, they know I've been there because I purchased park tickest through them (using rewards) and used dining reservations. Last year I even booked rooms but ended up canceling them when I took an extended family trip and we got a 5-bedroom house instead.

However, this year when I got my FD pin for October, I used it immediately as it will be 2 adults and 2 older teens (17). So, probably for next year, I won't get a pin. LOL.

Yes Iv been booked in November lol BUT I saw all the dancing bananas and happy faces and had to share too....didnt mean to thread hijack lol but FD does deserve creepy dancing guy

I'm gonna try and call tomorrow, as they told me when I booked that if I ever hear or see of any other discounts, to call and ask and I may be able to take advantage of them...

Here's the history of the public discounts. You will most likely be able to take advantage of these even if you don't receive a pin code. Good luck!!!

The CM's I talked to said that they are confident itll go GP in the next month or 2

I'm thinking about switching my plans by a week...but am still holding out hope for a general offer that covers my dates (not likely, I'm afraid) or the pin that covers all of October...and will switch back to my original dates in a minute if either of those happen.

I already have some hard to get ADR's for my preferred week and would like to keep them in case I do switch back. So, here's my question...the ADR's are tied to the Ressie number, which will not change, but won't the system "know" that my dates have changed? Can I still hold those ressies for a while even without a ressie that covers that date? Will I be charged something?

I promise not to hold them forever...I will definitely cancel the ones we can't use once I've given up hope of a PIN for those dates.

I guess you can but alot of ppl see this as double booking. I would def give up ADR's for FDing. But the likelyhood of the GP FD PIN covering more dates is highly unlikely esp in October. you are better off just trying to get new adr's and moving the trip

Yes...we definitely will save money, especially with 4 kids! But our original week is sooooo much better for us for lots of school/work reasons. The ADR's are definitley not main reason I'm hoping to keep it the way it is. I just hate to lose them after all that work planning, especially if there's a chance I can keep the week.

The only other thing I didn't mention at first, is that I kindof had a similar scenario a couple of years ago for our first Disney trip. Changed my week for public offer....ended up getting a PIN...switched back and lost ADR's. All of that happened when we were about a month closer to our trip than I am now. Guess that's why I'm holding out hope.

Still, I guess it's a chance either way. But, I really don't think I'm double booking as none of the dates overlap and I absolutely plan to free those ADR's up in plenty of time for someone else to use them.
