No...I mean Hershey Bears (Not a Flyers fan...sorry...LOL ) I am a full season ticket holder and I am NOT patiently waiting for the schedule to come out so I don't miss an important game. (I also have a friend that plays for the Ottawa organization)

Went to my first Bears game this year..good time. Right down the road in Mechanicsburg

Why would the dates from 10/10 through 10/21 be blocked out? I know 10/10 is part of the holiday weekend, but wouldn't Halloween be more of a smart date to block out than 10/14 or something?

Disney surely has a method to their madness with Pin# dates but I have not been able to figure them out. Earlier in the year people were reporting pins which ran the beginning of Oct, not sure of the dates and then included Oct 23-29 but the middle of the month was excluded.

DH got a 20% pin back in Feb which was good from Oct 18-Dec 22, although it stated good from 12/1 to 12/22 until I called and the CM told me it was good for other dates and I booked for Oct.

We are traveling mid-week Oct 19-Oct 25 so the offers coming out now will only cover part of our dates if I should get one anyway. 30% would be great but not so much if it only covers part of my dates.

Glad you had a good time at the game...I see you will be in Disney either the week after or the week before my friends and I. Once we figure it out, I can really get into planning mode.

If my cousin can't go with us, I am going to have to fly. But that option just got a little better considering I am getting a $100 airline gift card!!! I just hope I can use it either for Airtran or Southwest. I haven't gotten it yet, but I know it is coming.

Me, too! I did the maps yesterday, and today I had an e-mail for kids sail free on a Disney cruise. Is this a PIN, or just an advertisment? How will I know the difference?

Most likely because there is a conference going on for a week in between those days (I think it's from like Oct. 13 or 14th until the 20th), so combined with the holiday weekend, maybe they thought it would be easier to just block the 10 days in between then pick a day here and there.

I took it, then at the end it asked if I had any other questions or comments. I wrote that I am desperately seeking a pin code for October - free dining or a good percentage off a moderate. Will see - it can't hurt to ask, right?

Got a postcard PIN in the mail today - the same exact PIN I got in an email back in mid June. (but the postcard was addressed to my DH and the email was mine)

Game on!

There is something up with that one week EVERY October. My son's birthday is on the 17th and I always look to go up there for his birthday and its usually not even offered as a bounceback rate either. I know its considered Regular season but I'm not sure why since its after Columbus Day

At least this year, the Children's Miracle Network Golf Tournament is from the 20th-23rd. That brings out a lot of golfers & golf fans, who come before the tournament to play themselves.

OK, I got a game on pin for 20% off select resorts:

10/1-10/6 and 10/10-10/31 Expires 8/6.

Unfortunately, the key word is select. I am currently booked in POFQ with the nice new beds and decor, but I would have to move over to POR for this deal. The savings isn't enough to get me up to the Deluxe - which is only good for Animal Kingdom Lodge and Wilderness Lodge.

So, we are seeing all sorts of different expiration on these, but the furthest out that I have heard of is 8/6. Maybe we'll get a GP offer then?

I was very excited when I saw that flyer in the mail! Even if it isn't a good one for me, it does seem like things are heating up a little. Fingers still crossed for FD!

I believe it is a tech conference and will be at CSR - from what I have read, it usually doesn't have much impact on anything other than CSR. Attendees go to the parks, but they are mostly in sessions all day.

I read on another thread that there was a conference going on that week (that is the same week we are going) and it was filling up all the Epcot resorts. They also said it was a tech conference but did not mention exactly what resort was hosting the conference but mentioned the Epcot resorts were included. I have been on Travelocity and Orbitz just to see what their prices are comparing and the Epcot resorts show no availability for that week. They did have a Grand Floridian room listed for $814 a night though - DH said we couldn't book that one. Assuming the people know what they were talking about that were discussing the conference - they said it usually fills up Epcot resorts but doesn't seem to impact park crowds because it is mainly adults - which goes along with what a previous post mentioned.

Gartner is also happening the 3rd week of October, Its a yearly thing for them.
Its huge too basically all of the yacht club is taken by them with a bunch of overflow to the beach club. so dont expect to get any rooms at either of these.

For those of us who sadly won't receive a pin code in the mail or their e-mail, when do you think they'll release a general deal to the public for October? I keep checking their website but the only deals I see on their Specials Page go up to October 1st.

I'm so impatient, I want to book with a discount!!
