This is the first time I received a Pin code in my life. It was good until 9/27. I leave 10/13.

Maybe I will receive another pin code for October

Woohoo! My daughter just called me and said that she found a postcard that had my name on it at my old address while cleaning out her car. Thank God, it's still valid, or I would have wrung her neck or thrown something at her! I saved $1063.16!!!! Woohoo! It was 30% off the room rate. It was a postcard in my maiden-married name with my previous address and I got to apply it to my reservation! The postcard that came TO my current address with my daughter's name on it, I couldn't use because she wasn't able to come with us this trip! There is some postcard going around that says, certain dates (I think she read to me October 2, November 1, or something like that) when the CM read me the dates it said from January 1, 2008 through December 15, 2008! So IF you get a postcard and it says dates....I'd call anyway to see if you can apply it to your ressie! Just a heads up! Don't give up that easy on it!

I cannot wait for October now! My DH is thrilled!!!!

OMG! I read this then went tearing through my trash can We just got back from a long weekend in the mountains and I sorted through all our mail. My discount card was for 8/3 to 9/27 and since we definitely were not going then I tossed it! Thank god it was only newspapers and junk mail in that trash can! Thanks for the tip; I will try and get this applied to our Oct vacation

I called last night and the CM checked I have no PIN code so just waiting and watching for October general discount codes to come out !!!! Hoping for AKL at a discount !!!!!

Does anyone think they'll offer the same discount they're offering now for in Oct as far as the discount @ SSR? They're offering a 1 bdr villa for 274 a nite thru 9/27. Just wondering if that'll be likely for Oct. Thanks!

does anyone remember what the package discount for October last year was? Mousesavers has it listed in their history of codes/discounts. It was a package discount (not room only). Was it the waterparks upgrade or was it something else? I remember we passed on it last October when we were at WDW. We are going again this October and I'm hoping for a discount we can actually use!

It was a package discount, but not the waterparks upgrade. We used it last year, and I want to say it was about 30% off, but that might be wishful thinking We're hoping to get the same this year - though I'm really tempted to book in September now (a bird in the hand...)

The waterparks/park hopper upgrade has been in the spring for the last two years...my sister used it for her April trip in 2008.

Hey, there are never too many questions!

We just did the MYW package. We were there for 6 days/5 nights (but the package applied to all different lengths of stay), at All Star Movies with 6 day Magic Your Way base tickets. Unfortunately, I can't remember the price, but it was a good deal. My youngest was still 2 at the time, so we could do one room at ASMo, and he didn't need a park ticket.

This year we're doing POR - only value/moderate where you can have 5 in a room (without doing a suite). The current Sept deal saves me about $300 - I'm hoping for a similar savings for October.

Since you've done October before, how were the crowds? We usually do early November due to my boys' fall break, but this year it falls right over Halloween, so we're thinking of going earlier in October.

In November, it always seems like there are lots of people in the park (midday) but the lines are never long. Some mornings were almost empty at rope drop.

Well I would have to say it was more crowed than I expected. The lines werent terrible but we averaged 25-30 mins on most rides with the "Big ones" 45-1h 30hr...The parks were packed like you said but the lines werent as bad as the crowds. Over halloween Im sure it will be very busy not only cause the Halloween but because alot of other schools are off. Any other questions ask away!

We live in the Orlando area, but are staying a couple of nights when my MIL and BIL come down to visit from Tennessee in mid-Oct. We're doing MNSSHP, F&W, and then a day hanging out at DTD, DQ, and the pool. I haven't booked yet and am really hoping for a room-only FL Resident or Passholder code before I get to that point.

I was thinking the new rates would come out about a month from that last ones...whatever date that was, seems like about a week ago, not sure.

The rates for AP came out about 2 weeks ago and we booked the 26 and 27th of Sept. I am waiting for the last few days of Sept as well as the first week of Oct. I hope they have something soon. They do have mid to the end of Oct with email/postcard discount some have received.
