October 2008 2008 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Cancelled

Just a question- if you turned up without a reservation at any of the popular restaurants that you cant get an adr for, say Le Cellier or Chef Mickey- would they actually turn you away??? Or could you just wait and be seated when there is a table available?? I would not think Disney would turn anybody away if they are willing to wait......

I'll call Disney in the AM to find out and let you know. I need to call about a couple other ADR's as I am switching up my days again.

I've seen many people turned away at LeCellier. They were told that all of their tables were filled by reservations and that they wouldn't be able to accommodate and walk-ups that night.

I think your best bet would be to walk up right when they open for lunch. DH and I had to cancel our dinner there one night b/c our 8 month old was too tired for us to bring her to a restaurant. So we walked up right when they opened for lunch the following day and were seated almost immediately for lunch.

Hey, I have to relocate due to landing a new job . Unfortunately, our vacation will have to be put on hiatus and I will have to cancel my ressies for October 4-11 . Here they are:
October 4th:'Ohana dinner 6:30.
October 5th- 1900 Park Fare breakfast 9:05, Le Cellier 12:30, and LTT 5:50.
October 6th-Crystal Palace breakfast 9:05, Sci Fi 12:30, and San Angel Inn 6:30.
October 7th-Chef Mickey's breakfast 8:10, 50's Prime Time 12:05, and Hoop Dee Doo 5:00 (I think Category 2)
October 8th-'Ohana breakfast 8:30, Raglan Road 12:30, and Whispering Canyon 6:25.
October 9th-Boma breakfast 9:25, LTT 1:10, and Kona 7:10.
October 10th-Crystal Palace breakfast 9:05, Whispering Canyon 1:00, and Boma 6:55.
October 11th-1900 Park Fare breakfast 9:10, Planet Hollywood 1:00, and Cape May Cafe 6:00.
I hope this will help those who are planning. I would have notified you all sooner, but I just found out that I got the job.

Yes a three way call will work. I'm not in a huge rush, but I have no meetings scheduled for Thursday or Friday (a minor miracle) so I am free all day. Let me know a means of contact and we will get it done.

Yes, they will turn you away. On some occasions they will let you wait for a LONG time. I have had both experiences.

Just e-mailed my TA to cancel the Kona Cafe on October 31. It was at 5pm for a party of 6. They took the filet of the menu, and my sister no longer wants to have dinner there. We are also cancelling Tutto Italia on October 30. That was lunch at 1pm for 6 people. Hope this helps someone!

I have a lunch ADR at Crystal Palace on Oct 4th at 11:45am. I know that is a busy day because dinner was cancelled. I was able to get 1900 PF for dinner with the help of a CM.
