Hi All,

Just looking to see what your thoughts are on this subject. My wife and DD (who will be 16 months old) will be traveling to the World in October 2006. My wife and I have only been twice, both times last year. First trip we split between POFQ and All Star Music. Second trip we stayed at All Star Movies. Since we have the little one, we will probably do 5 nights, but only 2-3 days of parks so there will be a lot of down time. My wife and I really want to stay at the BC. Last year on our trips we actually enjoyed the Value resort better than the moderate we stayed at. We have walked by the Beach Club several times and we love the looks of it. Plus, that pool , how can we pass it up?

So tell me, if you had a 16 month old and could afford a deluxe (with the help of some codes hopefully!) would you go for the Beach Club or for a value. I know that the Value would be ok because there are lots of kids around. What is it like at the Beach Club? Are there a lot of youngsters? I suppose I could consider a moderate, but if I don't do Beach Club I think I would rather just do a value....

Just need some thoughts. I can't wait to start some detailed planning!

Thanks in advance!

If you can afford to do the Beach Club...do it! We'll be going next month with our DDs aged 4 and 19mos and we're staying at the BC. This will be their first trip, but DH and I LOVE that area. Especially if you're going at a time where parks close earlier....we're planning on taking walks at night around the boardwalk to the bakery or to beaches and cream for ice cream. Have fun!

I will always do a deluxe while my kids are little. You can't beat the convenience of transportation options with the deluxes. We did ASMu when my son was 18 months. I wouldn't do a value again (but I'm a confessed Disney Deluxe resort snob ;) ).

We've stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian with our kids (ages 3 and 1). I love the Polynesian for the myriad transportation options and I love the WL for its theming and boat to MK. I would love to stay at an Epcot resort, but my DH prefers the MK deluxes.

If you can swing it, go for it!

The Beach club if you can afford it is awesome and the location can't be equaled. My 2nd choice is WL.

Another vote for BC. I love POR, Pop, and ASMusic, I own DVC at BWV...so I have very eclectic taste in resorts. They all have a certain charm and their own good points. But, if you can afford it I would go with BC. The pool is terrific, you have Cape May right there for a terrific character breakfast, you can just stroll to either Epcot or MGM, you can check out BW and see what's going on at night over there. It's just a great spot to be.

Ok, so it sounds like having our 16 month old with us won't be an issue. We'll just have to wait and see how big the tax return is.... that may make the decision for us!
