Hi Everyone!
My partner and I just booked our very first cruise. We are avid Disney fans and are already in love with the parks. The next step for us was of course the
DCL.
You all seem like you have so much fun!
Any suggestions or recommendations for first time DCL folks?
Also, what are the initials we keep seeing? DD, DS, DH?
We look forward to speaking with everyone!
Nice to meet you CADZ!
So about us....
We are both native Long Islanders and enjoy everything and anything Disney! I am 29 (soon to be the big 3-0) and he is 36. We are actually getting married next Spring and wanted a memorable honeymoon with Disney involved. We researched many cruise lines, but couldn't get past the feeling that Disney must do it best.
We did come up with some questions last night.
Do a lot of people go on the DCL without kids?
Do you recommend the main or second seating for dinner?
Is it hard to get reservations at Remy or Palo?
Can you tell us a little about yourselves?
-Artie
Hi, Artie. Welcome Aboard. If you are looking to have a great time with a great group of people, I think that you have pick the right cruise to sail on. Of course, I might be a wee bit bias

!!!
To answer some of your questions, although, I see that they have been answered for the most part, I'll just add my two cents. It seems to me that quite a few folks travel without kids. Out of our group of 12 sailing on this cruise
only one will be under 18 at the time of sailing along with only 2 others being 18. The rest are 25 and older.
As for dining, I actually prefer main dining. For some reason, it is just a better fit. I don't like eating very late at night, and sometimes that second seating seems to just drag on to me. But, that's me.
I have never had trouble booking reservations at Palo. In fact, we had reservations for tea, lunch and dinner on this last cruise. I really enjoyed tea. That was a new experience for me. As far as Remy goes, not too sure about that as it is on the new ships only and we haven't sailed on the Dream yet. I imagine that you should have no problems with reservations, even being newbies.
And let's see, a little about us. I will be traveling with my husband, mom, niece, our pastor's youngest daughter (she's one of the over 25 group), and some very, very dear friends of mine. My husband and I will actually be still celebrating our 5 year anniversary. In fact, we had a Walt Disney World honeymoon followed by a three day
Disney cruise.
That's about it. Just keep posting away. Ask as many questions as you like and just have a great time. If you let me know your partner's name I will add you all to our main cruise page. Well, I will do that anyway.
Again, Welcome aboard!!!
