Denine, do they decorate the stores in Amish country? I only been there in the summer....

I would love to help you decorate your new house....decorating is my first love I think besides scrapbooking and gardening. I am going to do my bedroom and bath after Christmas as it has been 6 or 7 years since I last did it and I have now finished the whole house and it is time to start over. See what happens when you don't work or have kids at home....

Wow, this morning I actually didn't have to search for the thread and I had lots to read!! Even Krista stopped in to say Hi.

Not feeling too well today. I drove home from work yesterday and my stomach hurt and I felt weak and like I was going to get sick. Today I am just having bad stomach pains, may go home at lunch.

YEA, we get to put up our Christmas Tree today. I am so excited, I love doing that.

Mom - Chris said he would come down tonight for dinner and decorating.

Decorating....I LOVE to decorate. I have my house all decorated every year by November 1. I have 5 trees and lights everywhere. I Love Christmas. I love watching movies at night with the fireplace and christmas lights on. Cozy!

I was so glad to see Ami go. I am glad Eliza won the car...I didn't want Ami to win, and then they finally got her out for good. She is going to be a very bitter jury member. Ya I am voting for Julie or Chris. I can't really remember Julie being too bad in the past shows. I am upset at Chris for writing down Sarge's name and getting him kicked off though!!! I loved Sarge and he would have had my vote at the end!!

I can't believe she stripped just to get $20 for a candy bar. I was shocked. Poor judgment on her part, what was she thinking? Her actions upset Carolyn but didn't really seem to have an effect on Trump or George....guys will be guys!!

Both shows coming to an end soon, what are we going to do?

Yeah! Krista came out to say Hi!

Been busy today. I finally got the house vacuumed and some things put away. I moved the cat box from their room to Kaleigh's bathroom across the hall. I showed Jazzy, but I couldn't get Hera to see it. She jumped out of my arms and ran. But, at least their room is clean. I put up a few more decorations and lit some Christmas candles. I ordered stocking holders last night. They are cool. The hang off the mantle without taking up space on the mantle. Now, I just have to wait for them to come so I can hang up our new stockings.

Sally: The stores in Amish are decorated, but mostly because they want to sell their stuff. It was nice and not busy yesterday.

We are putting up the tree this weekend. I have never had a theme or more than 1 tree. I have never had room for more than 1 tree. Now, I do, but we need the money for other stuff, like curtains. I do like to have a bit of Christmas in every room.

Can I say that I am tired of construction????? They are working on both houses across the street and the one next door and all I hear is pounding and trucks are always parked in the street.

Jerry is going to cut the grass when he comes home. The sod really grew and needs to be cut before it is covered in snow.

Jerry's dad is coming home today.

I have bee trying to get a bunch of little things done today. It isn't easy with Kaleigh pulling out the tapes and CD's every time I turn my back. We have things to put on the doors, but no time to put them on!

I work the mornings this weekend, so I get to earn a little money.

I should have my secret santa ready to be mailed next week.

All I know is that starting Jan 2nd, DVC members get $100 off annual passes. This is sooo exciting. We have been begging for years to get discounts on park tickets.

I think I have said enough. I will try to get on this weekend, but I can't promise.

We still have Trading Spouses, Wife Swap, Extreme Home and the other one Dr.Phil's son does....the Nanny but none of these are where you can vote for a winner. Wonder if they will do another Mole or Big Brother....

We have annual passes this year and I LOVED having them! If I went to the park for only a few hours.....dadaaaaaa NO GUILT!!

All of my trees are themed. This year I changed my Victorian to an old fashion. It is my favorite tree.

Sooooo much to read. That is really cool. Krista it was nice to hear from you again.

No time to stay. Had a late day. I am exhausted but promised Heidi we will decorate. We really don't go all out because our house is small and just don't have the room. No theme. But, I always have to hang my "Jesus is the reason for the season" decoration.

Hopefully Ted can get this computer up and running right. Actually, hopefully he will find the time this weekend. We are leaving town for a quick run to the mtns for Christmas gifts on Saturday. That just leaves Sunday.

Heidi, Sandy, Barb, and Sally..... I'm so glad that AMI got voted off. I didn't like her from the start. I think Chris has my vote to win. Same with Garry. Garry and I knew that Ivana was gonna get fired just because of the horrible way she did business. I think that George was impressed that she got $20 for one bar, but I like when Caroline said..."she didn't get $20 for a candy bar!" After the end of Amazing Race and the "trophy" gets to the winner, we will have to do another for Big Brother this summer and I believe the Mole is on sometime early in the new year. Hey, are there any American Idol fans? We couldn't do anything for that, but that is another I like to watcg. My favorite Idol has been Clay. I think he should have won instead of Rueben, but he has really done great!!! Did you see he has a christmas special with Barry Manalow and 2 other well know singers? Boy that makes the "Christmas with the Idols" look not so great.

Hi guys, I just heard a rumor on the radio that Amber and Boston Rob will be on the next Survivor. OMG, I hated that guy. I just don't think I could stand another one with him.

Sally and Barb, another tidbit I just found out was that Ami on the present Survivor is a model from Lakewood. How sad is that? I would hate for people to think that all Coloradans are like that. And on top of it, Wife Swap had the two men from Boulder and Colo Sprgs. Just so the rest of you understand, Lakewood is who Ted works for. Honestly, there are normal people around here.

good morning....I guess I am going to decorate after all....you see Santa came to live at my house. Have you seen the talking, dancing santa that Walmart sells..he is life-size and I think really cute. Criss's boss bought one for her and she brought it here and he is now in my living room by the window. So now I have to put up a tree. I don't think Abby (our dog) likes sharing the house with Santa though. When he is singing and dancing Abby backs away and just stares at him...

We went to see Surviving Christmas last night....it was pretty low rated but I liked it because it was a Christmas movie.

We also got a beautiful live wreath from Patti and Ken yesterday. When we got home it was by our front door.....and can you imagine Dick blamed me for buying it. He said now what did you buy because he knows I like to buy on home shopping. I have ordered a small die cutting machine that I am waiting to be sent. I have to try to control myself when the scrapbook show is on.

I need to get my gift exchange mailed and my cards addressed....and now the house decorated.

Everyone must be busy now as not too much is getting posted....still waiting to hear how everyone decorates.

OK, I told you this was going to be a busy week so I didn't have a lot of time to post or read. So here is my weekly update:

Turner has a school basketball game to day at 4:30. This is there first game. They are so goofy. I'm not expecting great play from them but they will ahve fun. The game is his catholic boys team against a jewish boys team. Interesting combination.

I plan to get my christmas exchange gift in the mail on Monday. I can't wait. As for opening them together, what about Sunday the 19th. We leave for Florida on the 17th and will not get there until around midnight. We have family obligations on Saturday thru mid day Sunday but we are free Sunday evening. Monday and Tuesday we are going to the Disney parks. In fact, I ordered 2 day park hopper tickets from our Corporate Discount program ar work and they just came and I just signed for them!!!! We will be dricing home Wednesday but would be home to participate then as well. We can use my conference line again if you all want to. That way we can hear the ooohs and aaaahs as the gifts are opened.

My tree is a very small artificial tree this year since we are going to be gone so much. It will do for us this year. I don't have a theme and I have lots of little odds and ends all around the house. Outside this year, I only have my 2 dear with white lights in the natural area. No other lights. No time.

I have an appointment on Tuesday for my consultation for Lasik. I'm pretty sure I am going to go through with it the first of the year. I finally have my nerve up to do it.

Turner has hockey practice 2 days this week, a goalie clinic on Monday, basketball practice 2 days this week, 3 tests at school and then next weekend he has a hockey tournament in Greensboro. So, this will be another "where's Susan" week.

I'll be back on tomorrow if not later today and let you all know the results of the basketball game.

Morning guys. Just was playing again on the computer and found out that under one username on Windows the disboard is red and green. The one I always use is a yucky color. I am not going to switch as I hear AOL users are having lots of trouble on the disboard. I couldn't do that. I feel for Jeanne!

Getting ready to go up to the mtns to 2 gambling towns, Central City and Black Hawk. We are buying tokens for Christmas for 3 elderly people that go up regularly. We don't gamble so it is a trip up and a trip down. Not too exciting. Barb and Sally, do you ever go to Cripple Creek? We have never been but would like to some summer.

Sally, how cute. I know exactly which Santa you are talking about. I am sure it is very intimidating to dogs!

I need to wrap gifts and make peanut brittle then I am about done. We got the tree up last night to Heidi's delight.

Stopped at Best Buy and found out that it will be only 59.00 for them to check out the computer and it will be gone for 2-3 days. They think it is a software issue. If it needs fixing, not sure what it will cost. Hope to get it done soon. I want my project done. My project turned into Ted and Heidi's too with all this mess. Thanks Heidi!

Better run, the mtns are calling me.
