Jerry is outside playing with Kaleigh, so I get some time to myself. Talked to the agent today and we are going to keep it at this price for another 7-10 days. After talking to the mortgage company, we have a little more time than we thought. Our agent keeps getting calls about the place, but the people that come to see it just don't seem to be serious buyers. It is really frustrating.

Heidi: I sent 2 recipes to your mom.

Sandy: Sorry about your brother. My friend Judy (Kaleigh's godmother) mother's everyone too.

Lori: Where did you move to Colorado from?

We got Kaleigh a wagon filled with sand toys last night at Target. She really didn't have any outdoor toys. She loves that thing! We walked around the neighborhood this afternoon with it. Now all we need is sand!

Thanks Denine.

Well I went to the dealership and they will just patch the spot...he said you won't be able to see it unless you are very close to it and knowing where to look for, $125. I decided to put out the extra money and get it done right, my deductible is $240.

So I will be without a car July 8 - 9. But atleast it will look new again!!! If it happens again I won't repair it but this time I am!!!

Heidi: At least it is cheaper than almost $500!

Packed up a couple of boxes of stuff this morning. There is still more I can do. I just need to find a place for the boxes when they are full.

They say it is supposed to be 78 today, a heat wave! I wish it would warm up already!

Gee Denine I think it is just the two of us today. I know my mom is at the campground, but where is everyone else? I was with you on the weather, I was tired of being in the 50's for like 5 days straight. I hate packing up boxes and moving, I feel sorry for you on the part!!!

Hi guys. I am here. I am working at home this afternoon. We're merging again so work is going to get hectic during the transition. You'd think I'd get used to it after all the mergers we have done.

Heidi - I's sorry about your car. Hope the repair looks good when they are done.

You guys keep talking about the cool weather. You need to come for a visit we are in the mid to upper 80s. We have been getting some showers and thunderstorms. I guess we need the rain so I won't complain.

Heidi - how is your grandfather doing? I have been thinking about him (and all of you) alot.

Jeannie - I need your advise. Even though I am from NC, I have never been to the outer banks. We are planning to drive from Chesapeake to Hilton Head after our next tournament. We thought we we do the coastal tour and takie in some sites on the outer banks. We leave Chesapeake on Sun. 7/11 and don't have to be in Hilton Head until Tuesday afternoon. Not a lot of time for many stops but we want to try to do it. Any thoughts or advice on where to stop and what to see?

Going to the Y tonight. Hopefully can do my deep water aerobics class, weather permitting. If not, I'll just go to the fitness room and work out.

I'll try to get back on a little later today.
Love to all.
Later!

My grandpa is getting better. He has been sitting in a chair and they are talking about moving him out of the ICU. Thats all I know for sure. I know that the doctor was talking about a nursing home but my parents were talking about having him stay at our house so I am unsure about the details on that. Thanks for asking.

Okay Susan what is the Hilton Head and the outer banks? I have heard so much about it lately, it seems like everyone is going there and I don't know what it is. I would love to schedule a visit to your place!!! Our weather has finally gotten better and above 70 degrees. I am able to walk outside during lunch once again!!!

I lost another long post!!! I hate it when that happens. There has got to be a better way of doing this!!

Heidi - the outer banks are the barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina. Places like Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Cape Hatteras, Ocracoke. Lots of light houses and beaches.

Hilton Head is an island resort off the coast of South Carolina. This is where we will be staying: Marriott Beach & Golf Resort

I can't remember the other ramblings I had typed. I think I was typing about my friend moving this week and her dad having emergency bypass surgery, Paul working long overnight hours out of town, Turner and I went to the Y (no deep water tonight), and that I think I am going to go get me some ice cream! Ya-da, ya-da, ya-da.

Not a lot of exciting news so I'll go inhale some fat and calories!!

Later!

Susan if you happen to need a babysitter I am willing to go with you. The resort looks awesome and so relaxing. I have always wanted to go to Cape Cod to see the lighthouses. One of these days I will make it to travel the east coast!!! Have fun!!!

I am a little tired today because I kept dreaming last night that someone was trying to steal my new car, but all they managed to steal was my steering wheel!!! Maybe I should take a nap during lunch instead of cruise the DIS!!!

Back for the day and then who knows what we end up doing. This is getting OLD very quickly. I am so tired.

Hi Heidi, miss you! I am going to call Verizon soon. We have something like 330 minutes already on our 400 minute plan. That is basically since Grandpa got sick. Will see how much of that is weekend minutes tho. Glad no one got your car! ::yes:: I didn't sleep very good either. Just too much going on in my mind.

Susan, hopefully I will find time to check out your websites. I agree with Heidi. That is something I have always wanted to do. Jeanne always talks about those places and I never knew what it was all about.

Ted's dad got moved yesterday to a regular room so he is definitely improving. He is very alert now and understands everything. Ted was told to choose a therapy home for a while so we will probably have to go checking those places out next week.

Denine, got your recipes. Will print them out for Heidi. Thanks so much!

The insurance adjuster on the house came out yesterday. Wow, a lot more damage than what we knew. He was very thorough. Now we need to hook up with the car/RV adjuster. Anyone want to float us a loan for the deductible? lol It is a mandatory 1000.00 for hail for everyone. Plus they are going to paint one side of the house and put up a new gutter on one side so we might just as well paint the whole house and put up new gutters all around.

Bye until ??????????

Jerry came home early yesterday because I was "sick". The three of us ran away for the afternoon to Amish. I needed some staples, plus I just wanted to look at some stuff. Got a lot of ideas for the new house. We had chocolate peanut butter ice cream at our favorite place than later we had dinner (all you can eat salad bar) at one of the Amish restaurants. It was so nice to get out for the day. We all needed it. Kaleigh had a grand time walking around the stores looking at stuff.

Sue: I wonder why you keep losing your posts?

Sandy: Glad Ted's dad is improving!

Only supposed to be 67 tomorrow!

Heidi: I don't mind packing and moving as much as I hate trying to keep everything pristine for potential buyers. I am hoping to pack more stuff today.

Denine, I loved going to Amish country....I especially liked the store that sold patterns....can't remember the name....

We went to Farmers Market today.....this is the first one of the season.....I wanted to get things to make vegetable soup and got everything else....bing cherries, watermelon, green onions, etc.

OK. Where is everyone? I found this thread on page 5 of the CB! Time for the Mounties!

We have a s howing this afternoon.

It is cold and rainy.

Kaleigh took a nasty fall yesterday evening on the sidewalk. She scraped up both knees, her thumb and a finger, bit her lip pretty badly and scraped up her chin and under her lip. Hence, she didn't sleep well last night, so neither did I. I gave her motrin this morning. Of course, she did it just in time to go out to dinner tomorrow night to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary and my parents birthdays.

At least it's Friday. I hope to go out to see the house this evening.

Sally: Amish has so many neat stores. We didn't have time to go everywhere I wanted since we got there so late. We need to go down and just spend the day.

I decided to make my parents (read dad) so homemade bread as part of their gift. I made cinnamon raisin pecan yesterday and I am making Italian Herb today. I think I may make cracked wheat tomorrow.

Denine, if I lived near you I would be at your house all the time....and sampling all the good things you bake!!!!!

Poor baby, I feel for her. I had a year where I fell in England, Boston, Texas....finally realized it was the shoes I was wearing..my foot was slipping sideways in it....

It is a dark day....suppose to get rain.....

I don't think I am going to survive selling this house!!!!! We were supposed to have a showing between 1&2. They called at 1:30 to cancel. I had all the lights on in the house, everything clean, neat or hidden, just for a no show. I am so sick of this I could scream! :scared1:

Sally: I saw in todays paper that Progressive is hiring a bunch of IT people in Colorado. Maybe we should move there instead. The weather seems to be better. It is all of 55 and raining.

I'm here. For some reason, I couldn't get on to the boards today. Nothing exciting going on here. I had (and still do) a migraine headache today because of the weather! Hence, I'm not going to be on long. Just a quick stop in. I will check back in tomorrow. Garry works a double tomorrow night (leaves at 10pm)so he won't be home until 2pm on Sunday! NICE!!! And on top of that, he has to go in Sunday night and work his normal 10 hour shift!

Hey Denine, if you ever want to run some of those recipes by a taste tester........ you know where you can find me!!!:teeth: If you don't mind me asking, how much are you asking for your house? There are a few people that I know who are looking and I have told them about your house, but I don't know the asking price. ( I completely understand if you don't want post it. I'll get it from you another way). What agency is your realitor from and his/her name so I have it if anyone wants to look at the house. Thanks!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Julie: Hope your migraine is better. The current price of the house is $199,900. We may have to lower it again. Our agent is with Remax. His webpage is Mikekack.com.

We went up to the new house last night. They are almost ready to start framing. The basement floor is poured and so is the garage floor. All the windows and outside doors have been delivered. Hopefully early next week!

We went to eat at Donnato's Pizza last night. We have never been there. It was kind of a weird experience. The pizza was OK, but it was no Antonio's!

I thought I would have to do SOOOOOOO much reading:earseek: but I only had a few pages. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

SUSAN: They have a beautiful Aquarium in Manteo "North Carolina Aquarium" :fish:which is a combination hands on & looking. It only cost about $6.00 to go but is worth it! The beach is what keeps everyone coming back to North Carolina but Hilton Head is probably just as beautiful. They have the Wright Brothers Museum & a big sand dune that you can climb to fly kites at Jockey Ridge.

HEIDI: So sorry about your new car. I know how much that first scratch hurts .

Did some mother/daughter bonding in the Poconos. We went & did everything - flea market, outlet shopping, bingo, movies, pool & ate too much!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Toodles :wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE
