Thank you all for wishing Summer will & congratulations:bride: :groom: I will start getting more excited when they work out the where & when.

BONNIE: This is going to be the opposite of Ryan's wedding. The groom's mother will be the one taking over the arrangements (more power to her).

Just wanted to say Hi! I have to start loading the car & head to the Poconos for Mother/Daughter bonding but I didn't want to leave without saying "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL THE DADDIES":love1: Hope you all have a great weeking. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Good Saturday all!

I made it through work today. It took me 4-1/2 hours to pull meds for 43 people and hand them out. We have a census of 45, but 2 are in the hospital.

Happy belated birthday Cody!! :cake: :bday:

Kaleigh is better today. Of course, daddy had her all day. They brought me a Subway sandwich for lunch and I showed Kaleigh to the residents. They love babies! Jerry said Kaleigh cried all the way home (luckily only 5 minutes) because she wanted her Mama. At least I'm loved.

Jeanne: Enjoy the Poconos!

Sandy/Heidi: Hope FIL/grandpa is doing well!

Bonnie: It must not have been a good day for straps The strap on Jerry's briefcase broke. I still say you need to write Ryan a letter telling him exactly how you feel!

To all the fathers out Happy Father's Day.

No treadmill yesterday...they wanted $375...it was a Mercedes of treadmills...I'm a volkswagon kind of gal so no sell. I would have gone to $150 but no higher...darn!
Made up for not buying the treadmill though...went to a shoe outlet and bought shoes!! Great deal on a pair...got a pair for nearly 75% off.

Test drove a used Mazda 626...fully loaded but I looked under the hood and the bolts and nuts were all rusted...not good for a 3 year old car...either a car that had water damage or maybe owned by someone who lived near the shore. Passed it up. Another darn...sunroof, leather, a spoiler (red hot mamma!) nice and clean but not the rusty bolts.

Talked to Jeanne on her drive to the Pocono's...until the mountains got in the way.

Today...mowing my next door neighbors lawn. Of course we pay an association fee each month and that includes the lawn care but he calls them "the killers" so he has always done his own lawn. He is in the hospital...had a third stent put in then coded in the recovery room and had another "little" heart attack. His wife asked if I could mow the lawn...we will figure out the mower together...heaven help the lawn!

Denine...I have given a lot of thought about emailing my son but each time I think of what to say it sounds so angry that I don't do it. Maybe someday.

Happy Father's Day!

Today is my parents 40th wedding aniversary. We also have to go to a baptism. Looks like our invite was last minute. Jerry's mom called to wish Jerry a happy FD, but we were out. She said not to call back until this evening as they will be out for the afternoon. Covering for Scott again. She obviously has no idea we are going.

Bonnie: Too bad about the treadmill and the car. Great about the shoes.

Julie, I've meant to thank you for the pictures and am such a space cadet! Beautiful family!
Wonderful news for your daughter, Jeanne!
Sandy, prayers to Ted's Dad.
Too funny, Hottie, Not-tie LOL

Just got called back to work. Money Money!
Gotta do something at home for the big Father's day dinner tonight though. Darn it. I wanted to go to a restaurant but Ben still isn't moving to great. I think I'll order Outback curbside! Yumm Yumm.
Happy Father's day to the daddies out there.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's!

This has been a weekend from......well, you know. Ted's dad isn't progressing like they thought. He is very disoriented and in pain. Before I forget it was surgery on his spinal column due to stenosis. It closed very rapidly and he lost control to his bowels and was very close to paralysis. 3 other zones need surgery as well but they chose to only do the worst because of his age. Thank goodness as he is just not doing as good as what they had hoped for. I don't know the term for it but the surgery has caused his arms and hands to turn very purple, like a humongous bruise. I think it was due to his bad blood and platelet count. His has a form of leukemia. For you nurses he is in a PCU unit right now and are talking about moving him tomorrow. Because it was emergency surgery he was not fitted with a brace prior to surgery so that is a problem as well. He needs to be able to stand for 5 to 10 minutes to be fitted. If it isn't one thing it is another. Ted and I will take care of him this next week and then his brother will help the week we had vacation plans. We will skip our second week of vacation to take care of him. I bet that he will need to go into some sort of "facility care" for awhile. Just not sure. He is running a 103 temp so they are watching his blood for bacteria and his lungs for pneumonia as he cannot sit up. Then.......I ended up with the flu. I had chills and was running to the bathroom every two seconds after I got home from the hospital. Doing better now. No chills just hot now. Another problem is that the camper was already pulled down to the campground and we cannot abandon it for more than 24 hours so we have to sleep down there. CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!

Lori, please tell Cody that Aunt Sandy sends birthday wishes. How are you surviving with Ben?

Denine, hang in there. Your sweet angel will be back before you know it.

Bonnie, you are like me. I am a volkswagon kind of a gal as well. I just believe in buying what will work best at the cheapest price. Sorry about the car but I think you made the right decision. Rusty bolts at 3 years old. Not good!! You deserve an atta boy for mowing your neighbors lawn!

Have fun Jeanne at the Poconos.

Julie, your post cracked me up!

Sandy- sorry to here about your FIL surgery. He probably will need to go to a rehab facility for a time after. Hopefully the confusion will clear up. Elderly people frequently get confused after surgery. In a strange place with strange noises etc. Arms and legs don't sound to good. Are they checking the pulses in his extremeties?

Lawn mowed...had a time getting it started but it turned out we had to plug in the spark plug...Ray forgot to tell Rita that part! It took the 2 of us to start it...I pulled the cord Rita worked the choke. I got my exercise for the week! They are good to me...watch Perditta, take in the mail, used to plant my flowers before he retired to a "fixed" income so I don't mind helping at all. It is the least I can do for them.

Glad you agree on the rusty nuts & bolts...I thought maybe I was just being too picky but we looked under the hood of my mom's 93 honda and they didn't have a speck of rust. Something fishy there!

Hope you all are having a good weekend...make lots of money Lori!

Hey!!! Where are Krista and Laurie the Lurker!?! Everyone picks on me when I disappear...how about them!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL!!!!

Sandy, we will keep Ted's dad in our prayers. It's going to be a slow recovery, but I'm sure he'll pull through just fine!

Like I'm not nuts as is..... but we just bought two parakeets for Garry for Father's day. (along with several other presents....61* movie (baseball movie) 3 computer games, a shirt that the kids put their handprints on and dated, and some martini glasses and all the fixings to make one). He hasn't named the birds yet, but it is his job to name them. He had a parakeet when his was single and the stories about the bird and his cat are classics! SO NOW my house consists of: 4 children, 1 husband, 1 dog, 1 cat, several fish, and now 2 birds!!!!! Go ahead......... I'M NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great day! Will check back in later!

Just a quick post. We're back from Raleigh and Turner team won the GOLD medal in the state games! What an exciting weekend. Turner got a shutout in his first game Saturday. We lost our second game but one of the ref's was very biased to the "hometown" team. He even went tio dinner with their team after the game! We won our 3rd game this morning so that put us in the final game with the team we lost to for 1st and 2nd place. Our team obviously wanted it more we won 4-1. The refs were very good for the final game. I feel like I was the one out there playing, I am exhausted.

I haven't read everything since we were gone but I did read a little. Pixie Dust to Ted's father and we will keep him in our prayers. I'll try to read the rest in the morning and post again tomorrow.

Love to all!
Later!

Wow Susan, Gold...Congrats to Turner and his team, sounds like they did an awesome job!!!

Yes Julie, my offer goes for you too. Your post really made me laugh and that's what I needed after this weekend!!! (Hottie-Not-tie) But your post could be really true, I didn't think about it until I read your post!!! I had a parakeet too. I loved my bird, he was the coolest and he would go camping with me and he talked so much. They are so much fun!!! My bird was named Petey, but now I want to get a another bird and name him Jax!!!

Well the next thing that has come about with my grandpa is that he may have possibly had a minor stroke due to a blood clot. Don't know much about that, but maybe my mom does. She is at the campground right now, but should be back in town this afternoon.

I get my estimate on my car today after work so we will see what happens.

Have a great week everyone.

Pixie dust and prayers continue for Ted's dad. Back surgery is not easy at any age.

Yeah Turner! :jumping1: :thewave:

We survived the baptism yesterday. Kaleigh had fun playing with the other kids.

Julie: What's a couple of birds in your house? What a menagerie!

Bonnie: Sounds like you got your workout allright!

Sandy: Hope you are feeling better!

Hi guys, back again.

Nothing really new here. Ted's dad was sitting up today IN A CHAIR. He was much more alert. He is talking in sentences but is still seeing things. He seemed tired of Ted so he went back to work. Oh yes, FIL has/had (?) an infection in the lungs. Off pain meds.

Turner is the best! Way to go!

Rain, rain and more rain.

We love parakeets!! Petey was so much a part of our family. I miss him dearly. That is why we never replaced him!

Bonnie, I can just hear your laugh as you two were trying to start the lawn mower. Ted and I were watching TV the other night and a lady was laughing and she sounded just like you. We had to laugh.

Thanks for all the pixie dust!

Sorry guys. I typed a VERY long message but lost it before I could get it posted. The boards asked me to logged in AGAIN and then said it was the wrong password. I'm too tired to retype it and think about everything I typed. Just know I am thinking about you all and miss you guys. I'll try again tomorrow.

Later!

Good Morning all.

Sandy Glad to here Ted's dad is doing better. I'm sure the confusion will clear up a bit each day.

My next door neighbor was to be discharged yesterday but they are keeping him to do a cardiac cath today. It sounds as if his "little" heart attack wasn't so little...sounds like quite a bit of damage was done. The nurse who works for the cardiologist told him all but the cardiologist is saying that it was little...I believe the nurse myself. Rita is very distraught to say the least.

Congratulations Turner!!! Go Gold!!

Okay I went to get my estimate for my little scratch on my bumper and was shocked. They quoted $475. I asked the guy if he was serious, I thought maybe 200, but not close to 500!!!! But it is a new car so I am getting it done. I have to call the insurance agent today. If it was a year old I wouldn't, but like the guy commented, it doesn't even have license plates on it yet!!

I need a vacation. The October cruise keeps looking better and better. Now I just need to save up the money to go.

Good morning everyone.

Sorry Susan about your post. That is really frustrating. Been there done that!!

Bonnie, sorry about your neighbor. Pixie dust his way! Nurses are good people! Ted's dad has been in lala land and his nurse was nervous over it so she called in the dr. He said that he thought he was acting normal and asked Ted what HE thought and Ted said that he was definitely disoriented. The dr then said that "Ted would know". Ted's dad is a very SHARP 84 year old. Thank goodness for the nurse!

I am sooooooooo very tired today. I didn't sleep well. (thanks to you, Heidi.....you just had to keep talking about Uncle Larry didn't you) I just don't know if I can handle the kids today. I am still not feeling up to par yet. Maybe the thought of having them for 2 times this week and then off for vacation for 2 weeks might help!

Have a great day everyone!

Sandy: Glad to hear Ted's dad is doing better. The confusion will really clear up now that he is off pain meds. Like Bonnie said, it is quite common in the elderly and can be quite scary.

Sue: Sorry about your post.

Heidi: Nothing is cheap anymore!

May have to lower the price of the house again. Jerry was doing some figuring last night and will talk to the agent today.

I am so tired. All I do is clean, do laundry and take care of Kaleigh. I need a day off from everything!

Ohh Sandy, my heart really goes out to you guys. That's a lot going on for Ted's Dad and you have so much going on. Ugg. You SO deserve a calgon.
Ben is doing fine, thanks for asking. He's a baby, so,... you know. Great big congratulations to Turner!!! Woo Whoooo!:bounce:
Denine, I can't imagine having to keep a clean house with a baby. It's not fair at all. You should get to stay in your jammies and just play on the floor with her. We moved to Colorado, moved all our junk twice, and got a puppy when Katie was 3 months. What are we both thinking??? I can now look back on that with more fondness however because I didn't have to keep a clean house !
Shoot, the cement guys finally are back to work so I'd better get back to my other family.
Catch ya'll later, take good care.
Lori

Mom - don't blame me for your not sleeping. I mentioned it one time at 8:00 and I stopped after that. So it's your own fault for continuing to think about it. :p I didn't sleep well last night either. I kept thinking about how much fun the kids have at the campground and how they are feeling. Then the night before I didn't sleep because I was worried about grandpa, so today I am cranky and tired. And with you and dad's opinion about the dealership I don't even know if I should put on the miles.

So Denine where is that recipe for my soup? You didn't post it on the other thread and now that I know you have one you are going to have to give it up!!!!!

Hey Heidi, you mentioned it about 4 or 5 times during the night. So there!!:p

For all of you who are wondering. My brother is going through a financial crisis and is selling his travel trailer to help make house payments. We are sad because they just joined our campground a couple of years ago and really, really enjoy it. BUT...on the practical side, they made a very wise decision to sell. I am sooooo nervous about them losing their house. I guess I "mother" everyone. In fact, in kindergarden my teacher told my mom that. lol So, that makes everyones problems MINE. Silly me. You would think that I would have ulcers!!

Thanks for the sympathy Lori. If and when things slow down I think I will need a 3 Margarita lunch!! And after Ben's ordeal, you will too.:teeth:

Heidi, make your own decision on the car. It just makes me nervous that they can make it cheaper. Does that mean by cutting corners? Maybe, maybe not. No one really knows. But with your estimate you can surely see how Hanks exaggerated their time that is for sure and maybe that is what Josh and Ed can cut out!!!!!!!!! Don't you just hate becoming an adult!!

Denine, any offers yet? Is that why you might lower it? Sounds like you need a calgon moment. Don't forget to lock the bathroom door for NO interference!

Running to the campground AGAIN tonight. Won't be back until late tomorrow so will talk at you guys Thursday.

Hugs, you guys sure know how to give me a "pick me up". Thanks for the ears!
