Good Morning!!

I have not been posting lately because of trying to get into the
swing of things here at work.

My computer at home is working great now. It is faster so I can get in on the wine chats and I will look at my email. Life is good when you have a computer geek for a Daddy!

Good morning. Today I am extremely tired. I don't think I even slept a full hour last night so I am just trying to make it through work!!

Susan - I have the report done, and we are sending it to DC today so they should have next week to read it, but they will need some time to calm down and chill out before we get there!!! We don't want any screaming employees!!! Anyway its hard for me to tell when we are going because right now it seems like everyone in HR is going to DC the month of May so maybe we can push it off for the first week in June, but we really want it to be in May...I am sorry, but I might be able to only give you a weeks notice!!!! It's a big mess right now.

Where is everyone? Patty I know you are out there, want to come out and play? Bonnie is working, but where are the others?

Hi everyone. Just checking in. WELL, the Big Guy has STREP!! That is where I was yesterday. I felt so bad for him. The only problem with him is HE IS NOT A GOOD MEDICINE TAKER. I had to try three times yesterday to give him his med. It is the liquid and he threw it up the first time, spit it out the second. I tried to hide it in his yogart, but he could tell that there was something not right with the taste and wouldn't eat it then. OK ALL YOU NURSES AND FELLOW MOMS, how do I get thim to take it?

WEll, gotta run will check back in later!

 Poor, poor Julie. I have dealt with so many kids that aren't willing to take meds. I have no advice, zero, nada, nothing. I never could get it done either. GOOD LUCK!

Hey Heidi, I had the same kind of sleep also. We should have talked. Finally, I was sleeping VERY good and the phone rang. Noah didn't sleep either. Only running a 99.1 fever but she might keep him home from school. Poor Sandy. Can't wait either to get the date but I understand. I am just too excited to go to DC!!

Barb, good everything is working out better. We do expect to hear more from you now. ::yes::

Susan, sounds like the boys did an awsome job considering they were playing teams a level above. I say way to go boys! Good luck with the cable. It will be a long couple of days!

I sent Bonnie an email but haven't heard anytbing back. I know she likes to rest after work so I won't call. I was going to call this weekend but we were sooooooooooo busy.

Guess what guys, we are checking out the price of the 14 day transition cruise next May or Aug. for the MAGIC. Wouldn't that be great to be on? They say the rumor has it the price will be good. We'll see.

Faith is taking some time off the boards for awhile. Hopefully she will be back soon.

Better get dressed. Don't want to get caught looking like this!:hyper:

Good Morning

I am finally getting a few minutes to post. I have been really
busy this week.

Jaymee called yesterday and has a possible ruptured ear drum
I was trying to deal with talking to her and the clinic where she was at and taking calls. Glad it is over!

Susan-Sounds like a fun time. Glad Turner's team did as well
as they did. You must be proud.

How is the house plans coming Denine??

Barb:smooth:

Julie: Poor guy. I feel for you with the medicine. Is it the flavor he doesn't like or just the fact that he knows it is medicine? They have FlavoRx at several pharmacies. They will flavor the medicine to whatever he likes the best. It is more expensive, but worth it if he takes the medicine. If all else fails, there is always that famous shot of PCN.

If I were to get new appliances, I really want the Neptune washer and dryer. They are so expensive though, but they are supposed to save money in the long run. I need to do more looking.

We meet with the loan guy tonight and I will look at colors to pick when Kaleigh gets tired of sitting there. We had a realtor over yesterday to look at the house before she presents to us on Thursday. We have a different realtor presenting to us tomorrow, we choose our colors on Friday. I have a mammogram on Tuesday and the carpets get cleaned on Wednesday and we leave for WDW on Friday.

We are getting things done around here to get the house ready.

Sue: Sounds like the boys did a great job even though they lost. I know our house won't sell that quickly. Nothing around here does.

Barb: We hope to hear from you more often!

Heidi: You will have to tell us about your trip. We have never been to Vegas.

Denine, I would love a Neptune also. They are soooo expensive but in the long run probably not too bad. Let me know if you get one as I would love to hear how you like it. Have fun with the colors and the new house. That part is always a blast. Even though you pay for it over the life of the house, it just seems like "free" money and you can pick and choose whatever you want. You and I are on the same Mamm. schedule. I get mine in two weeks. Nothing to look forward to that is for sure! And after that, because I turned the wonderful 50, I will be scheduled for a colonoscopy. Even yuckier.

Barb, poor Jaymee. She never has anything simple. Never just a cold or flu. Let's see, mono, ruptured ear drum and I know there has been more.

Ok Patty, come out, come out where ever you are. I KNOW you are reading this. :teeth:

Hey, my Mamm's coming up too! I'll let the other topic off the hook, joke free.
Julie, Katie learned to swallow huge pills at a VERY young age, because she just hated swallowing liquid meds so bad. Cody couldn't master it and I had to be a very mean Mommie. I would hold his nose closed, which kept him from tasting it as much, but then I also would have his head tipped back and not let go of his nose. He literally had to swallow just to breath. Now he holds his own nose closed and thinks that it helps with the taste.
Denine's idea on the flavorings sounds good, too. I've seen where some pharmacies offer them free as a service.

Susan, glad Turner's team are such good sports and had fun with it. What a good guy.

Off to Katie's performance. She's a fairy in Midsummer's nights dream.

Jerry just told me about the possiblity of the transitional cruise for next May. I have to be on that ship. To go all the way through the Panama Canal on the Disney Magic would be awesome. I have already e-mailed Dreams and my TA.

Another house question:
Granite counter tops or laminate?

Well when you read this board you have to take the good with the bad!

I just loved Katie's picture especially since the dog was "kissing" her.

SANDY: I turned 54 but I have a strictly "no backdoor policy"! My family doctor yells at me every year during check-up time. Due for my mam too! I promise to call today - later of course.

LAUTERS: I feel so sorry for you. My youngest son was such a poor medicine taker that if he had a really high fever we would have to sit on him & give him a Tylenol suppository. When he went to the Pediatrician's it took two people to sit on him for a shot. Sending get well pixie dust your way.

Problems with Bob - another LONG story. My feeling is if it's meant to be it will work out. I went & picked up my "other" boyfriend Dodger last night so that is why I am on the computer so EARLY.

:thewave: GOOOOOO FLYERS. Miss you all:grouphug: Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Good Morning!

Denine- Keep us posted about the cruise. That sounds awesome.
I want to go too!

It is another beautiful day here but we have the possiblity of snow tomorrow. Oh well Spring snow does not last and it usually really greens the grass up.

Jaymee is back at school but she is still pretty sick. She got numbing drops for her ears hope they are helping with the pain.:(

Lori-Katie picture was really sweet. Her dog seems to really love her.

Only a couple days from our train trip. I am pretty excited.

Barb:smooth:

Barb: I hope Jaymee feels better soon.

Sandy: Maybe we should all have another reunion on the transitional cruise ::yes:: My TA said she is planning on getting a block of cabins for this on the 4th.

Jeanne: Hope everything works out for you two.

My mammo is a 6 month check on the calcium deposits.

My dad has had quite a number of colonoscopies. His brother died from colon cancer a few years ago. He has had some polyps removed, but nothing cancerous.

Another realtor coming tonight.

Kaleigh is feeling very insecure right now. She keeps having meltdowns and refuses to be put down, but she isn't happy being held either. Things should get better on vacation. All I can do is reassure her and try to keep things as normal as possible.

I am so happy. I talked to our petsitter this morning. She agreed to sit for Ollie in October. She said she will see how the drive to our new home is and decide after that. We were concerend that not only would Ollie have a new house to adjust to, but a new sitter as well.

It was purely nasty here yesterday! It was very cold and rainy and snowey and just miserable. At least we are back to nice today. We can go for our walk.

Good morning!! If I could have the time off, I would love to go on the transitional cruise. I don't think my work would like me taking off around 3 weeks, but it is a once in a lifetime chance to be on DCL for 14 days. I could only wish.....maybe a graduation present, right mom...possibly? :p I guess I should just continue to save for a house and a car. :D

I had a good suprise this morning. I walked into my cubicle and noticed something was different but couldn't quite get it (I am a little slow in the am). A guy named Freddie from work always comments on how smart I am because I am in the fraternity Sigma Beta Delta (Honor Society) and have the certificate hanging up and he always tells me I need to get a frame so it doesn't get ruined. Well this morning I walked in and it is sitting in a beautiful wood frame. He got some frames in for work and took it upon himself to frame my certificate for me. I guess I am loved by my work!!!!

Anyway that is the most exciting thing I have today. Counting down to Las Vegas!!!

Oh, gotta share!
A fitness dude came to work yesterday and gave talks on walking for health, etc. He was selling his book on using a pedometer and the whole kit, including a cool little tiny pedometer, came with it. The hospital paid for all but $11. of it for employees, so I got it. Anyway, I just finished getting it all calibrated for my step length and wt. Here's the awesome news....
.
.
.
I can now see how many (or fraction thereof) calories I burn while walking from the computer to the refrigerator!!! Seems like exorcising!!!! Such a deal!:Pinkbounc :sunny:

(No raining on my parade, now) :teeth:

Lori- I use one of those thingy's everyday. I love knowing how many steps I take a day. Now that we are in this great big building my walking has doubled! I am on the 3rd floor so I use the stairs quite a lot also.

Can't wait to hear about the 14 day cruise. Hummm how do I make this work.........

Barb :smooth:

Good morning guys! Running a little late today. An elderly friend of ours called and I talked to her foever. She has the gift to gab! Guess who Heidi!

Lets see......

Lori, nice. The pedometer thing is great. The only thing is, leave it at home when we have our lunch, ok? I sent in for my quote on the transition cruise on Monday but the cruise, dates and prices probably won't be announced until the 5th or 6th of May. I certainly will share with you. The dates are something like May 14-28, 2005 and then the end of Aug beginning of Sept. 2005. I asked about the May one first but Joyce can't do it then so maybe the Aug. one. Denine, a reunion would be fantastic but I bet not too many people could do it because of school.

Heidi, what a nice person Freddie is. Now if you would only frame your DEGREE!!!! Hey you guys, after today Heidi graduates AGAIN! Believe it or not she would be able to walk the graduation ceremony if she wanted to. She chose not to. She had to take some classes to be able to be hired as a student. After this she is a full fledge gov't employee.

Denine, we will be in the 80's today with rain and snow mix by nighttime. Crazy CO!

Jeanne, I promised the Dr. back in Sept that I would make a date and I held off but have decided to do it. Yuck! I keep up with the mamm for the same reason as Denine. Hang in there with Bob. You two are good for each other. I bet Dodger went crazy when you picked him up. It has been quite awhile for him, hasn't it??

Barb, let me know about the train trip. I have always wanted to do it.

Better get dressed. As I said, I am running late. I hate it when this happens!
