Faith - Beano is a jerk....hello you two were talking to each other because there was no one else talking. Funny how when the two people keeping the thread alive disappears everyone else reappears. He has a job and can't post every day, but I guess he has the time in his job where he can lurk on it every day. Don't waste your time on worrying about what he said. He doesn't deserve your sweetness. He is just jealous and that is way obvious. Focus on the wonderful vacation you will have with your family..wish I could go!!!

Faith, you got the best of my curiosity. Had to look. He must have taken a little offense to your comment about them not posting, to respond that way. I'm sure no one meant it to be personal by not posting. Once a week postings from everyone would be nice this far out from the cruise date. I remember when Beano made a comment back when we were having a one sided race with them for # of posts. Denine clued them in and he said something about quality over quantity, (which kind-of offended me at the time, but I saw his point) so I take it he doesn't care for filler-posts. Seems like a nice guy, he just says it like he sees it which might offend people sometimes.
We have such a sittin-around-the-family-dinner-table feel here, I don't think anyone minds when posts are directed to just another person. Sometimes it gets pretty funny. I do remember though when I first saw them, I felt like I was left out or eavesdropping. Maybe there was a little of that too, since you and Sandy are clearly so close. You are both so so sweet. They need you!
I hope you get back in contact and work out a truce.

The kids are at Ben's work. I get to drive out there to pick them up soon. Usually I would complain about having to drive 45 min each way in the rain, but ....... Yeah, rain!!! (better than snow, the trees have leaves now and would break) I'll be out knocking trees by morning though. Maybe even tonight.

Boy I really feel for those cruisers on the "chartered" cruise. That's some really BIG cheese to have moved on you. Flights already reserved, vacation requests already cleared. Yikes, that would put me over the top.

Road trip sounds fun. I vote for everyone driving to .... ummm... COLORADO! Let's see, I need one of those maps with little colored pins. Where would really be central for us?

Ugg, I'm procrastinating, I really need to go hit the road now. Yuk.

OMG, Faith. Beano is very immature. It has affected me, too. I have to calm myself down. Denine, I am sorry for my ill feelings. I know that you are friends with him. Faith, at least we can have fun with our families and Jeanne and Joyce. Darren, too. I don't need to be around people like that. This thread proves that everyone can get along. His loss for not being open!! Heidi worded everything right. Wow, what a jerk.

Lori, I am always open to opinions. so I am not mad. I guess why I am so upset is because I remember his comments last time. This time Jeanne, Faith and I honestly, honestly tried to get everyone to join in. He only posted a few times and ONLY directed his posts to his "friends". His loss not mine! I don't need negative people in my life. Your opinions definitely gave me food for thought.

Heidi, I was thinking about your post and the dentist. Heather feels very very bad and that is why she is willing to work with you. Please understand and realize mistakes do happen. Love ya, mean it.

If mistakes happen, then why do I have to find another appointment, why can't they tell the person that also has the other appointment to find another appointment. I had it first. I know why and its because we know Heather and it is supose to be okay and we are supose to be flexible because we know her. If they did it to the other person they would be just as upset as I am.

All I can say now is Thank God this cruise is not for 6 more months. So We Can all get over ourselves (I mean me) I'm not so mad at him I more mad at myself for posting in the 1st place. OH well what can I say. STUFF HAPPENS ok ENOUGH OF THE CRYING and back to my great mood.

Heidi was able to talk to Heather, the hygenist and together they are trying to work it out. There was more to it than either one of us knew. It is a receptionist/computer problem and will be worked out. Phewwwww.

I just checked out the new smilies. They are adorable. I can't believe how many new ones.

I had trouble all day with the board. Drove me nuts. I posted on the thread about how Disney handled the cancelled or chartered cruise and the cruisers were NOT offered to either stay on or change. They had to change. DCL didn't quite tell you the truth, Faith.

I've ready all the posts and your really have my curiosity up about the other threads. Unfortunately, no time to check them out. Still doing laundry, haven't packed one item and we leave at 6:00 in the morning!! I will really miss you guys. I'll post Monday when we return.

Ok Sandy and Faith, where is your other thread? I tried looking for it and I couldn't find it. I wanted to read what Beano said. I never met the man, but I remember last year he wasn't the "nicest" guy from our "posting war". I was just interested in what your other thread. Denine knows Beano and from what she has said he seems to be a good guy. As my grandmother Arkangel would have said in her hungarian voice......"WHO KNOWS ......WHO CARES ........ LIFE GOES ON!!!" She was one of a kind!

Denine, you are going to Disney on May 7th, right? We are having Makenzie's 5th party on Sat. May 8th. Makenzie will not be a happy camper to have HER friends (that what she tells everyone, that you guys are HER friends and well who cares about daddy and mommy's friends! LOL!) not be there, but we will have to get together when you guys come home!!! or else!!!

Heidi, glad to hear about your jury duty dismissal!! Knock on wood, I have never been called (yet ) but Garry has it the week of Memorial day. I'm sure they won't call him since he is a police sgt., but you never know!

Garry and I have decided to replace our driveway since the kids LOVE to play outside and it is really in bad shape. With that decision made, we now have to take down our big maple tree in our back yard that is next to the house and driveway. The roots are really to a number on the driveway (it has raised it up a good 4 inches in one spot). I really hate to see the tree go, I really like it and it really gives the house great shade in the summer, but I can't see spending the money on a new driveway and seeing the roots destroy it. I keep thinking about the pros and cons of keeping the tree or getting rid if it, and the pros give way to the cons. At least we won't have soooooooooo many leaves to pick up in the fall. So with all the estimates for the tree removal and the cement ones, we have been busy. The tree comes down Wed. and the driveway will get done mid of May. The driveway was an EXCELLENT deal! We are getting alot done for the price that was given to us. They are going to widen the driveway a foot, will go from the street to the gargage, the entire sidewalk, apron, the walkway up to the front steps, a new drain, and a new step by the side door.

Well, that is what happening around here. Nothing exciting.

Wow Julie, sounds like fun!!! I remember when we had our driveway and garage redone. I bet they don't choose Gary. My Jeffco officer friend said that he thinks they have him marked because he is in the PD so he never gets called to jury. I know in the questioning from the attorneys we had to talk about our professions and there was a guy who worked for Adams County PD and the judge took a recess, looked up something and said the guy was dismissed because he works for the PD.

I only have 1 1/2 weeks until I get to go to Las Vegas. I am so excited. I haven't been since I was 20, so almost 4 years ago.

Faith - Have you heard from Beano regarding your email?

Oh mom - you are going to have a culture shock when you get to Key West on your cruise. I just found out it will be the beginning dates of a tradition (I think for like 26 years) they call Fantasy Fest. Key West is going to be packed and definitely an eye opener for you and the other cruisers. Hope you don't get mixed up in any parades, like we know dad some how manages to do. I can't wait to hear what you say about it after you experience it. I only know about it through Chris because he use to go down there for it when he was younger. Heidi, Key West doesn't seem like it will be much fun now. Man, a parade??? I have YOUR dad with me. Shoot. At first I was going to treat it like a At Sea day, then I changed my mind with BOB, and now that we can't do BOB and the Fantasy Fest, maybe I will have to go back to staying on the ship. Ohhhh, that reminds me. I didn't tell Jeanne that BOB closed at Key West.

Julie, Mckenzie's 5th? She is getting so old. Noah turned 5 in Aug. I know how hard it is to lose a tree but I think that you made a wise decision. You will LOVE the new driveway. As Heidi said, we just did it a couple of years ago. Once the trees become destructive, I think it is time to go. Maybe I will try calling Bonnie this weekend.

Getting snow. Suppose to be major accumulation but I doubt it.

I shouldn't have to apologize for Beano, but I will. He is a plain speaking guy. He is really a great person in peson. That being said, I do believe that his family and Kamy and her DH have become such good friends that they just e-mail back and forth. They probably really aren't that interested anymore in meeting new people. I am guessing, that he won't be invited to Faith's Walt suite.

IT IS OFFICIAL!!!! WE ARE GOING TO BUILD A NEW HOUSE!!!!! :happy2: :thewave: We picked out the lot yesterday. It is actually across the street from the one I told you about, so I will have sun in my kitchen and family room. We go to sign papers tomorrow. We should be in the beginning of September. House warming road trip to my new house before the cruise!

Heidi: I hate it when places lose your appointment. I hope you can work something out.

Julie: New driveway sounds great. It is a shame to have to lose that nice tree, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. We will try to get together before we leave.

Sandy: Jerry and I didn't care for Key West. It was a culture shock without the parade!

So many things to do to get the house on the market and leave for vacation. These kinds of "problems" I can handle. They are fun!

Mom- you have to atleast get off the boat and walk around just to see the island and don't miss the sunset. And plus you have to get Chris a shirt that says Fantasy Fest, Key West...please!!!! Its fun to see the southern most point and 90 miles to Cuba!!! Let's say there will be a couple hundred very flamboyant people and many people in costumes. Just to warn you, some bars and places will allow in naked people during that time!!! I can't wait to hear your reaction!!!

Oh my gosh, it will definitely be an interesting place to visit. NAKED PEOPLE???? Whoa!! Ok, ok,I owe it to Chris (Heidi's dbf) to get him a shirt. He just got us club seat tickets for Sundays Rockies game. My nephew is throwing out the 1st pitch. I just realized that it is his dads birthday also. What a great birthday memory!!
