Hi people! Just checking in. Boy is the board quiet today! Been busy getting everything organized for the tree removal and new driveway. The tree comes down wednesday morning and the concrete people still have to get back to me for an official date.

Makenzie and kindergarten id a HUGE mess! THe school she is "scheduled" to attend she will NOT BE attending. This school is the "not so great" school (if you know what I mean). The children turn over is about once every two weeks due to all the apartments that go to that school so I've been trying to get her to be re-asigned to another school that is closer to our home that doesn't have to play "catch up" with the kids and all the subjects. SOOOOOOOO, who knows where she will be going next year! I will keep you posted.

Well, nothing else going on, Brooke is requesting dinner so gotta go! Will check back in later this weekend!

Have a good one!

Julie, keep up with the changing of the school. I am so glad that our girls didn't go to our local school. While the turn around was ok, it was a "test school". It was centered around open classrooms. In other words, there were like 3 or 4 classes to an open space. The kids surely couldn't concentrate listening to other classes and watching all the kids getting up and doing their thing. Our kids got an excellent start with their first 5 years and then we brought them back to the neighborhood school after the test went away. We never regretted our decision. Parents know what is right for their child!! Good luck.

Barb, Sally are you buried in snow? Sounds like you guys are getting dumped on.

Whooo Hooo!!! Good for you Denine! Have a ball:hyper: Sounds like a lot of work to me..... I hear it's a VERY good way to get rid of lots of stuff!

Julie, good luck with the school. I wish my parents tried harder with one of my High Schools. We were on the wrong side of the district line and I ended up transferring my senior year to a Jr. College & applied the college credits to high school, just to graduate. It was such a horrible school, I couldn't learn anything but street smarts. Going thru distractions while so young wouldn't be fair at all to Mackenzie.

Hey, did you guys notice how quickly Sandy decided to go ahead and disembark on Key West once she heard about the getting to go into bars naked, part??? Yes Sandy, you WILL need to buy that T-shirt just to be allowed back onto the ship. Get a Large! :p
Ahhhhh, Sandy is so fun to tease. I was all tired from work and now I feel better. :teeth:

Whatever you do Sandy, don't look down the side streets while at Key West!:scared1: One might see something that one might not WANT to see:earseek: !!!! The people down there really "GET INTO IT" if you know what I mean:blush: ! If you do, take pictures to share with all of us! LOL!!! JUST KIDDING!!!!!:rotfl:

Makenzie and I have our last swimming class together tomorrow so I will try to check the boards after we get home. Garry is working a double tonight and tomorrow so he won't be home to crash until 2pm after going in at 10pm tonight.

Well, gonna go! See you all later!

Lori: Don't have too much stuff to get rid of. Remember, I don't have a basement to store junk!

Sandy: OH, please do take some pictures at Key West to share. They could be quite interesting.

Today is going to be busy. We have laundry, our meeting this afternoon and going to a friends tonight. My parents are going to babysit since they said the meeting could be a couple of hours.

Our real estate agent is going to represent us with the new home. He sold our condo for us and sold us this house. We will more than likely have him sell this house too. He want us to interview a few other agents first and then be the last to present to us. He did a great job for us in the past.

Talked to Julie for a long time yesterday.

Jerry got the front lawn cut yesterday and then the lawnmower completely died as he was trying to cut the backyard.

Gotta run.

Ok guys, if I take pics then all you will accuse me of being a "pervert". I will have Ted the perv take the pictures instead. :teeth:

Have fun, Denine. House ordering is so much fun.

Lori, I have noticed that you pick on poor me a lot. You crack me up!!!!!

Had a nice chat with you today Barb!

Well, Sandy is on cloud 9 today.:cloud9: I am feeling soooo much better about the Beano thing. The world is a brighter place.

Love you all!
Sandy

SANDY: First of all, when were you going to tell me no more BOB? I guess you didn't want me to be disappointed. I think the Fantasy Fest could be too funny with us fuddy duddies!:faint: :faint: :faint: We may need a few bushwackers to really enjoy it!

I guess you figured out I worked Wednesday, Thursday & Friday& that is why I haven't posted. Also problems with my Mom & Aunt. A very long story...

DENINE & JERRY: Congratulations on the house. How exciting!:jumping1:

I am afraid to type GO FLYERS because I think it could bring them bad luck instead of good luck but GOOOOOOOOO FLYERS!!!!!!!!

I have to go back & read the Beano Board now (curiousity killed the cat). Have a great weekend. Toodles :wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Hi everyone! Hope everything is going well. Well, things here are the same EXCEPT Makenzie has STREP!!! How this happened I'll never know! Now I have to keep me eyes on The Big Guy to see if he starts showing signs of getting it and Makenzie is on antiboitics and is starting to feel a little better.

So besides that, nothing is new around here. I'll check back in tomorrow!

AND for tomorrow........

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DENINE!!!!!!! :bday:

Hope you have a great day Denine!!

Ok, now it really is your birthday Denine!!! Happy Birthday!:cake: :bday:

I hope you have a great day:cat: ! Are you doing anything special? Enjoy your special day!!

I hope Susan is having a nice trip! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Jeanne, Glad to see you back!! We missed you! We want to hear all about your trip!! P.S. Did you take the two separate sets of undies:blush: ?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DENINE:jester: Hope this is one of the best year's of your life!

My vacations could not have been better. The weather was perfect - not one day of rain even though it rained 13 out of 16 days back at home:umbrella:. My daughter & I went & did everything in California - Disneyland two days:earsgirl:, California Adventure one day:sunny:, Knott's Berry Farm, Aquarium of the Pacific & Queen Mary:boat:. Then I came home changed suitcases (packed the "nice" underwear) & off to New Orleans. It was just soooooo much fun. We went to a "private" party in Margaritaville on Thursday night & then all weekend was the French Heritage Festival with free concerts set up at different stages with the greatest music & stands set up to sample the different New Orleans food & drink. We went & saw Nunsense one night & since we are all Catholic got alot of good laughs. What more could you ask for? Bourbon Street was a little TOO MUCH so when it got crazy we started walking back to the hotel.

FAITH: Forgot to say how happy I am that you joined us. Aren't we a fun crew:grouphug:

It looks like the beautiful weather followed me back to New Jersey because it is another lovely day.

Where is Bonnie? Do I have to drive over her house to see if she is still alive? Send out the Mounties!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great day! Working Monday & Tuesday so I don't know if I will get time to post but will try. Today is a mother & aunt thing. Toodles:wave2: :earsgirl: JEANNE

Welcome back Jeanne. You have been missed. The trip sounded wonderful. Wish I was there! I think Key West has potential for a lot of fun. Just keep Joyce and I together and we will provide it for you with our embarrassment!! But then again, give us a couple of bushwackers and maybe we will join in!! I j;ust found out about BOB during your trip. I am majorly disappointed. But the fest should keep us going.

Julie, asking her about her undies. lol! To let you off the hook Jeanne did bring it up a while ago. :hyper: Strep?? Yuck!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DENINE!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc How did everything turn out with the house?

WE NEED THE MOUNTIES TO GO TO WORK AGAIN!!

Just poppong in for a quick "Hi"!
Jeanne, sounds like you had a very well deserved and wonderful trip!
Happy Birthday Denine. Gosh, getting a house for your Birthday. I'm telling Ben how much nicer Jerry is than him.;)
Julie, darn that Strep! It's one of the more frustrating parts of raising kids.
Off to church with friends. Their son is doing something or other of prominence during todays service. (I promise not to refer to it as that while there);)
Have a nice Sunday everyone. Oh, Katie gets to meet a girl from our neighborhood that just adopted a little beagle too. This afternoon we'll meet her at a dog park. Cross your fingers that all 4 of them hit it off. It would be great for Katie to have a friend that I don't have to drive her to!

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I said that for my birthday I got a new house, for mother's day, I get a vacation to WDW and for our anniversary, a cruise. It is a very good year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything went well with the house yesterday. But...we have another new lot. This is the last one. It is a long story as to how we got it, but we don't have to pay the $4000 premium plus we get a free finished basement. It is a great lot. It is the largest on the street, it is sort of a corner lot. It is on the end, but there are "hills" to the side and back of us, so you can't see into the backyard. There will be no one behind us and only on one side. I don't have the sun in my kitchen or family room, but I'll make the concession.

We meet with the loan guy on Tuesday and pick out our colors on Friday.

We got a bunch of "new" toys for Kaleigh from our friends last night, even a Little Tikes slide. We still need to unload them from the car.

Jeanne: Your vacation sounded like so much fun!

Julie: Strep?? Poor Makenzie. Hope she feels better soon and the Big Guy doesn't get sick.

It is a rainy, windy day and nothing special planned. Jerry made me breakfast and we have a bunch of stuff to do to get the house ready to be put on the market.

Wow, Denine, what a year you are having. I think that I have to talk to Ted about how I am getting slighted according to what you get!!:teeth: The lot sounds great. And a finished basement, WOW!

Lori, I wish you could have heard me when I opened Katie and JoJo's pic. It is sooooooo cute. Thanks for sharing.

Went to the Rockies baseball game to watch my nephew throw out the first pitch today. It was so cool. I was so proud of him. He said it was very nerve racking.

Gotta run and make dinner. Just popped in to see how everyone is doing.

Sandy: We need a good year. It seemed like so much was wrong last year with my health.

We replaced 4 rose bushes and planted some pansies in planters to dress up the front door and deck. I really need to figure out how to declutter this house so it lookslike there is a lot of space for a family to live. But, if I had a lot of space, I wouldn't need to move. :confused3

The sun did come out for a little while yesterday. I had another dead anilmal at the side of my house. I really wish that cat would stop.

Question: The stove is going to stay with the house since I am getting a new one with the house. Jerry wants me to think about the other appliances. My fridge and washer and dryer are all 10 years old, they are Maytag. Should I take them with me or get new ones?

Lori: Cute picture of Katie and her new puppy!

Hi Denine, I say leave your appliances if the buyer wants theml When Stacey sold her condo the lady asked for them and they put it in the contract. That way you will have a fresh start. As far as clutter, Stacey and Richard rented a storage unit and stored all that stuff. They just left whatever made the condo look lived in. They sold the unit to the first woman that looked at it and it sold within a month. She was deciding between a couple of units. Their agent told them to store anything personal such as family pics etc. That way when the buyer walks in she can visualize HER family. Don't forget to simmer cinnamon on the stove for that at home smell.

Missing everyone. Where are you?

Hello everyone. I have been very busy at work. I had a great weekend of going to the Flea Market with my DBF on Saturday and going to the baseball game on Sunday.

Denine - I would vote for new appliances...might as well since you are getting a new house!!!

Lori - loved the picture of Katie.

Have a great week. Next week I go to Las Vegas!!! Any hints on what to do there for a short trip? Any cheap good places to eat at?

We're back from Pittsburgh and a rough tournament. The boys were actually playing teams that were a level above them. They lost all the games  but not of them were embarassing losses. The boys played hard and never gave up. The other teams did have to work to get the wins. They boys had a great time anyway and had some time at the hotel in the pool to just be kids!

I took the day off to get some rest and to get some work done at my leisure. The morning started out bad when the neighbor accidently cut the cable with his mower. Our internet service is through our cable so I couldn't get on to chat nor could I watch TV. Oh well. Paul bought some things to temporarily fix it since the cable company won't come out until Wednesday.

Yippee!! Denine is buying a house!! Glad you made a decision. Our friends (their son plays hockey with Turner) are moving to Haymarket, VA (near DC) and they put their house on the market Friday. Doug called Stacey to tell her it actuaaly got posted to the internet site at 8:00pm on Friday. He siad their were 4 showings Sat (one was a repeat). The repeat from Saturday came back Sunday and by Sunday evening they had the offer. They have countered back but believe this will be a done deal very soon! Hope Denine has as much luck selling her house!

I have to go pick Turner up at school and Stanley from the kennel but I had to post to say hello and I missed you all.

Sandy & Heidi: When is the DC trip??????? I want to plan a road trip!

Where is Bonnie??? This is not like her. Has anyone heard from her. I hope she is ok but just working too much.

Later!
