I love what Joey and Tyler did when they met up at the house after we got back. It's funny but Heidi and Stacey did it too. They reached out and touched each other. It was like is it really you, are you ok? Talk about tearing up on that one! Joey kept saying "Daddy fixed Tyler".
That was the sweetest thing of last night. :cloud9:  I was holding back the tears as well.

Thanks Heidi for taking off my boo. I was going to try and do it but I was afraid that I would mess up the other stuff. Too many brackets and IMG's all over it. LYMI

Stacey just called and Tyler's EEG did show some irregularities. The neurologist that the hospital referred her to said he can't get him in until Dec. WHAT???

Sandy, sorry to hear about Tyler. What caused Stacy's seizures? I know it doesn't help, but if the neurologist that the hospital referred her to said he can't get him in until Dec. you need to think that the irregularities aren't too serious. Because if it was serious, they would have him in ASAP. I know that doesn't help because it's your baby and you want they to be a-ok like yesterday. My heart is with you guys!!! Hang in there! I know when I was told Brooke had a whole in her heart (actually she had two!) my heart jumped into my throat and I wanted the dr. to see her right then and there. Actually she had an appointment with the cardiologist later this month to see where we are with it. It's a scary thing when our babies are "sick" and we can't help.

Barb, congrats on you winning the decorations title again! You da' man! (or should I say wo-man~! LOL)

Denine, we had TOT until 8pm too. It was funny how many people LOVED the kids costumes! I think that each house the kids went to told them how cute they were or how awesome they looked. There was even one house who gave all three money (I mean dollar bills) WITH their candy because she told them how cute they looked and how nice they were went they said TOT and thank you when they got the candy. She actually went back into her house to get them the money! LOL! Each driveway they would walk up you would hear "ahhh look how cute! Look it's captain Jack Sparrow! Hey it's Alice in Wonderland! " It was a nice evening.

Denine, sorry to hear about your party. If I didn't have a game to go to, you know I WOULD have been there! I've felt the same way at times for parties I threw. I wish you could have changed dates. Maybe next party!

Well, gonna go. The kids don't have school tomorrow since it is the end of the marking period, so they don't have to get up early. Poor Garry has to get up early though to go to work. I feel bad for him.

I'll be back later! let us know how Tyler is doing! hugs to him and you (Sandy, Heidi, Stacy, Joey and the men too!)!!

TTFN

Denine - I have no idea what febrile is, so what is it???

Julie - my sister told the emergency room doctor that the neurologist could not see Tyler until next month and the emergency room doctor told her that he would call the neurologist and to expect a call from both of them today.

I feel so helpless I wish I could do more for my sister and Tyler. I am in a funk now that I have to get out of, I am a fixer and just can't fix this so it is driving me crazy and I HATE to hear my sister cry when I can't be down there to give her a hug.

Denine, as of this moment, no idea what kind of seizures. Stacey had myoclonic's and one other kind but I don't remember. It is too early to tell for Tyler.

We will never know what caused Stacey's seizures and many, many times they never do find out. We just have to hang in there with more tests with Tyler, that I am sure. I am thankful that we can see them tomorrow.

Julie, I remember when you found out about Brooke. I can't even fathom hearing that.

Deciding whether or not to weigh in today. Won't be a good one. I am really struggling.

Ok so I won out. I didn't weigh in and instead went out to Del Taco for a breakfast burrito. Oops, my bad.

As a fluke, Bonnie called me this morning. I told her about Tyler. She made me feel better a little better.

Calgon take me away!!

Good Afternoon!

Bob and spent the day at a Holiday food and gift show. Lots of fun. The craft show season has officially started. YAY!

Sandy I am pretty sure there are 7 hospitals here now. The new Penrose is still under construction and the new Memorial opened last year. Glad Tyler is doing better. What a scare for you guys.

Barb, I asked that question because it seems like everyone we know ends up at Memorial. I have heard of Penrose now that you say something. Denver is having their holiday show too. I would love to go but it isn't Ted's cup of tea.

Hugs to all of you. I can't imagine how scary that must have been. I know what it was like when we had to 911 Kaleigh to the hospital. Sandy, at least Stacey has you. You have been there.

Heidi: Febrile is a seizure due to a fever.

Barb: Congrats on winning the contest again!

Work was nuts yesterday. I got out an hour late. I had an ill caregiver who had to go home, so hence, she didn't do much while she was there. So they were way behind and I had a ill resident that I had to send to the hospital. That always take a ton of time.

Here is the beginning of my trip report.

We left a little before 3 AM on the 12th. It was chilly and rainy. We had hoped Kaleigh would go back to sleep, but she didn't for quite awhile. It was dark for the first few hours of driving, so she couldn't do anything either, but stare out the window. Anyway, she did awesome on the whole drive. I didn't use a lot of my surprises, so I will save them for December on the airplane. We made it to St. Mary's Georgia that day. It is 3 miles from the FLA line.
We got up the next morning and dressed in our matching outfits to drive to the ship. It is always exciting to see it for the first time, no matter how many times you have cruised.
We boarded the ship in a timely fashion. I had to go to the club to sign Kaleigh up and get the pager because their computer system was down. Otherwise it could have been done in the terminal. Jerry went to check on our seating assingment. I ask for a private table, we don't get one, Jerry has to have it changed.
Instead of going to a dining room for lunch, we did something different and went to deck 9 for some pizza and chicken strips. It was nice actually. Then it was time to go to our cabin. I got Kaleigh into her bathing suit and took her to the pool while Jerry unpacked the luggage. Jerry like not having everyone under foot to do the unpacking for a change. That was a first as well. Then there was the lifeboat drill and finally sailaway. We got drinks from the bar instead of the sailaway drinks. Kaleigh didn't want to stay for the party so we went back to our cabin and watched from there waving our Castaway flags. Again, something different. Dinner was at 8 and we ended up with a table for 6 for the 3 of us. Our servers were good, but we have had better.
Sunday was the first sea day, but the weather was yucky all day. You weren't allowed outside, but you could go into the covered areas of deck 9. It was just pouring rain. We all napped and then Kaleigh went to the club so we could go to High Tea. It was peaceful and nice. It was also formal night, so we went for pictures before dinner. Jerry and I dropped Kaleigh off every night after dinner at the clubs. We went to Diversions to watch baseball if there was a game. If there wasn't a game, we went to Sessions.
Monday was a beautiful sea day. We had brunch at Palo. I could barely eat dinner I was still so full.
Tuesday was St. Maarten. We got off the ship and went shopping and didn't buy a single thing. Kaleigh was so tired, she slept in the stroller a lot of the time. Then we went to the beach near the water taxi pier. We let Kaleigh collect shells and play in the sand and water for a while. It was beautiful. This was pirate night. Kaleigh and I had matching pirate costumes. Jerry wore the same one from last year. We had pictures taken and then dinner. We went to the party. Kaleigh was so exhusted, but was determined to stay up for fireworks. As soon as they were over, we went to bed.
Wednesday was St. Thomas. We did not get off the ship at all this day . We hung around the pool and did whatever. We did go to a couple of the matinee shows and one evening show. This was our Palo night. Again, we came away stuffed. Our server, Sylvester, kept bringing us food.
Thursday was another beautiful sea day. I had my facial, Kaleigh went to the club and Jerry got an hour to himself. I came and joined him after my facial. I actually went in the adult pool! This was semi-formal night or as Kaleigh calls it, Princess night. She dressed in her Cinderella costume. Again, we had pictures taken before dinner.
Friday was Castaway Day and our 16th wedding anniversary. Someone got married on the island this day. It wasn't the best weather to say the least. It was only in the low 80's and was misty to start. The sky was darkening and we went for shelter. It rained in Biblical proportions for at least 15 minutes. After that, we went for lunch. Kaleigh didn't want to play in the sand anymore so we went back to the ship and hung around the Mickey pool. It was quiet. I went to the hot tub next door (Goofy Pool) for a bit, Jerry did the same when I got back. Kaleigh loves the bratwurst at Pluto's Doghouse. It was the last day of another nice cruise.

We liked the enhancements to Disney Dreams. Lumiere still is NOT my favorite menu. I love the Pirate night menu. Palo was amazing as always. We look forward to next year. We managed to decrease our bar bill this time. Unfortunately, our picture bill went up. Part of this was because our camera died. I am not sure how many of the pictures I did take will come out.

The rest of the trip report to follow.

Great trip report. It sounded like it was pretty relaxing. Lots of pool time. I have wondered what it would be like to skip the embarkation lunch and eat at Pluto's. Hmmmm, maybe next time.

Just waiting for Joey and Tyler to stop by for trick or treating. Can't wait. After that we are headed to my brothers for a birthday BBQ.

Sandy: It was relaxing to a point, but we never got to bed until 12:30-1:00 and Kaleigh was always up before 8 AM.

Cleaned out all my tomatoes last night. They were all frosted a couple of times and the tomatoes were all falling off. I did pick enough for another pasta dish and some roma tomoatoes that were starting to turn, so I put them in a paper bag.

Julie called yesterday and talked to Jerry. She has a sinus infection and bronchitis. She sounded awful.

Tomorrow Kaleigh has a doctor appointment with a surgeon about her belly button. Hope to get it fixed before the end of the year.

I will let you know if anyone else shows up to my party. I really hope my neighbor does.

Hey Denine, what is wrong with Kaleigh's belly button? I don't remember a problem. Poor Julie, sick. Guess that's what comes with the territory when you have kids! Now that I don't have little ones, I don't get nearly the amount of colds that I used to. Good luck with your party!

Well, today will be spent washing and waxing the truck. Anyone want to help?

Ok, so I am on for a second. Let me do a little clarifying.

The neurologist (sp??) supposedly can't see us until January because he is all booked up. Very frustrating to hear that. The emergency room is the one who told us that we need to get in right away to get our results.

Our peditrician is amazing. He is also hounding the neurologist. The neurologist was also supposed to call him back on Friday and surprise, surprise, he never did. We are both calling back tomorrow to figure it out. If we get no where again, our peditrician said we need to find someone else. Fine with me. If we do see this neurologist, he should be ready for an ear full because he is going to get it good.

The peditrician said the EEG was abnormal...something wrong in the back right of Tyler's brain. He couldn't really give us more info since he can't read it himself.

I am really nervous because tomorrow Richard and I are heading to Denver w/o the kids to go to the Merchandise Mart to pick up some stuff for the campground store. I can't imagine Tyler having one when I am not there.

Tyler hasn't had one since, knock on wood. We will just keep playing it by ear. I need to quit worrying about him so much. I can't stand it when he is out of my eyesight now. I know it will just take sometime to get used to all of this.

Time to go do some reading my mom brought for me yesterday.

THanks Heidi and Mom for letting us go trick or treating yesterday!!!!

Stacey:

Sandy: Kaleigh has an umbilical hernia. They are supposed to correct themselves by the time they are 4. She is 5 now and it hasn't gotten any smaller in about 2 years. It isn't overly large, but she plays with it and won't wear her pants over it.

Well, Jerry's mom was it at my party. SHe did some Christmas shopping and got some extra stuff for herself. We added a few things to her order since my orders don't coun't. At least it was worth Jackies time. I felt bad.The chocolate raspberry trifle was really good though. She is going to have a party in January.

Oh my gosh Denine. I have the same thing as Kaleigh. I can't stand the thought of anything touching my belly button. I sit with my hand cupped over it if my pants touch it to tightly. The doctor told me about it in my 20's. Before that, I thought I was a freak. Sorry about the party but it sounded like it was ok for Jackie.

Denine - that stinks about the party. That is why I hate throwing any parties like that because I know only 2 people will show up.

Julie - I hope you feel better.

Stacey - thanks for the clarification!!! I was happy I could see Joey and Tyler in their costumes!!

Barb - how was your weekend?

Sandy: Interesting. How come you never had it fixed? It is an in/out procedure.

Heidi: I like having the parties, I just picked a really bad day. I may do another one next August and make it a BBQ. We will see.

I am heating up soup for lunch and then Jerry will be home so we can leave for the MD appointment.

Barb: Are you feeling better?

My cousins are going to kill Chris!!!

Story:
My aunt and uncle are out of town helping my aunt's mom move from Kansas to Texas. I am in charge of making sure they are okay, make it to school and no parties!!! We hung out with them all afternoon yesterday so that Chris could play with my cousins new Xbox 360. We asked them what time they have to leave the house for school, and they said they leave at 7:00. This morning Chris got in his car and saw that the time was 7:00 so he thought he would go check on them and drive by. When you drove by he noticed my boy cousin's car was still out there so Chris stopped and was ringing the doorbell. My girl cousin answered the door and Chris asked why she wasn't dressed and that they should be leaving for school now and asked if my boy cousin was awake, which he wasn't awake. My girl cousin said that it was only 6:00 and Chris argued with her and said it was 7:00, um ya Chris forgot to change his clock in his car for daylight savings!!!
