We will cheer for your Rockies as long as you cheer for our Indian's. At least until we meet in the World Series, then all bets are off! We watched part of the Rockies game last night.

Julie: We will miss you on the cruise. We just have fewer people to pay for, that's all.

We are cruising all by ourselves this time. I haven't posted on the DIS cruise thread for this cruise. It will be kind of nice.

I am gloomy today. I think it is partly becasue of the clouds outside and partyl because I am ready for vacation. Right now I am tired of coming up with something for dinner every night.

We got our docs yesterday! :cool1: :woohoo:

Until tomorrow!

Hi guys!

Heidi and Sandy, I watched your game last night. It was a good game. I agree with Denine, we will cheer for the rockies IF you cheer for the Indians! That is until we meet in the world series.

Whoo Hoo!! We are going to the first game of this series with the Yankees and WHEN we beat them and go to the championship series, we have tickets for the first ( or maybe it's the second game) of the home stand! :woohoo: We went in on season tickets with a few other guys from Garry's work and it seems that only a few of the guys want the tickets, so Yeah for us!! :yay:

Denine, we've BEEN ready for a vacation as well, but we will have to wait until Dec. for ours. guess I should have homed schooled!;) Garry has been ready SEVERAL months ago, he had to fire the station's custodian last week, hire a new one, and now there is a MAJOR problem with one of the patrol officers that MIGHT need to be let go as well. Not to mention all the other "not so nice things" going on at the station.

Your dinner problem isn't so bad. I usually make two a night :confused3 (one for the kids and one for Garry and I). The kids eat much earlier then Garry does and I eat with him. There are a few nights that I just make one (like speghetti night, and wednesday nights since the kids eat at church). It's the weekends when I usually don't cook. :thumbsup2

Denine, so how's school been the last few days? Makenzie had testing today. How does that work with home schooling? It was the Stanford Acheivement Test, I think. She just had the reading today and then in the spring, they have reading again and then the other subjects as well, once again, I think. There is also the Ohio Profiency tesing as well. They are really strict with the way its administered, I was just wondering.

Hang in there Barb!!! I know you're tired!:surfweb: With all you do, no wonder!!

Well, gonna go. I have to vacuum the living room and get some more stuff done around the house!

Be Back later!

Hang in there Barb!!! Have fun with Ethan and his class tonight!!

Denine/Julie - DEAL, I will cheer for your Indians if you cheer for the Rockies until we meet up!!!! We play the Philly's tomorrow. I had a chance to go to the game this coming Saturday but decided I needed to save money so passed.

Denine - yay you got your DOCS!!!!!! That means it is official and close!!!

Julie - I couldn't imagine making 2 dinners....I hate coming up with ideas for one dinner a night!!!

It's a deal!! Go Rockies AND Indians!! Till we meet! Bad for Jeanne though. Can't make the same pact. We play them next.

Denine, I was wondering the same thing. How does Kaleigh get tested? I know we have a couple of different standardized tests. How do they/you know that she is where she needs to be?

Julie, sure sucks to do all those dishes, I bet.

It's Ted's birthday today so I met him for lunch and making BBQ ribs tonight. Invited Heidi over but she had plans.

I forgot to tell you. I wasn't around when Joey and Tyler called for my birthday so they EACH left a singing birthday message. The messages are sooooo cute. I only wish I knew how to permenantly save it somewhere off my cell phone.

Heidi-have you posted on the August cruise thread? It is such a HUGE thread I can't keep up which basically means if we do go I won't know anyone.

My eye has been stinging so bad today. Thought it was because I was tired but now I think there is something wrong. I can barely see.

Julie-Two dinners! BLAH! I struggle making just one.

Ahhhh I remember you talking about the people on that cruise. I would not want to be involved with anything like that. I have enough insecurities without feeling like I was not wanted.

So when is the reunion cruise???? I vote for Oct.2008. The eastern and it will be like the first time we met.

Hey Jerry....... I like chicken!:rotfl2: Chicken chicken chicken!!!

I wish I could do 2008, but my honeymoon will be in 2008 and I would not be able to afford 2 cruises and a trip to Mexico over Thanksgiving!!

I took a fast peek at the thread on the DISboard and don't recognize too many names BUT they could be on the "other" board. A friend of Heidi's and mine mentioned that there is indeed another board for that particular cruise making me believe that it is the same people. I remember all the swearing and name calling. It was fun knowing a few names and faces but the "clique" atmosphere throughout the ship made it uncomfortable. We attended the wine tasting with Denine and Jerry and that was it.

Can you see this one?

Barb - I can see it!!!!! I love the countdown board, that is adorable. You are so creative. I haven't even thought about flowers yet, but maybe you can help me come up with centerpieces for the tables at my wedding. I don't have any idea what to do for party favors either. I do have these beads that I want to use in my centerpieces, just don't know what else to do!!

Heidi- I would LOVE to help you YAY!:cool1:

Sandy-2 boards for the same cruise! That is crazy. I wonder if it because some of them are wanting to keep the clique thing going. Irritating!

School testing: We still have to go through state testing when it is time. It depends on the school district. SOme let the homeschooled kids take the tests with the other kids. Otherwise, I have to administer the test or find someone (a certified teacher) to administer it. It depends on the test.

Julie: Jerry asked if I wanted to go to any of the play-off games but I declined to save money.

Barb: Yes the PC crowd was very cliqish(sp). We did meet up with a few people at DL ahead of time, but didn't really do anything with anyone.

My oldest friend (not age-wise) may be coming to visit tomorrow. She lives in Columbus and home schools her 3 kids. We have been friends since we were 5 and we are both nurses. She is hoping to be starting a new job in hospice soon. She hasn't worked for a while since she has been raising her kids. It will only be about 4 days a month.

This week is dargging!

Denine, interesting about the testing. I have always wondered about that. Have fun with your friend. I sometimes wish I didn't move away. I lost contact with all my "old" friends.

I wasn't a very nice friend yesterday. I sent Jeanne an email that said on the subject line "you know I love you but....." and on the inside it read "GO ROCKIES" in Rockies colors. She wrote back how bad I am. She said she will be watching the game this afternoon between her team and ours.

Thanks Heidi for helping me get "boo'd.

Oh my Barb. I just went over to the other site to see if there is a thread going and guess what......they are are going. Not sure who or anything. Just saw an ongoing thread. You can't read their threads anymore unless you sign in and I don't want to do that.

Just checked the baseball score online; it is the 6th inning and the Rockies are winning by 1 run, 3-2. Sorry Jeanne, but am glad the Rockies are ahead!!!
