October 19th Cruisers again and again...

Good Morning!

Friday night went very well. The girls had so much fun. I got a bout a zillion hugs from them. I was sooo blessed with support from some of the Moms. The World Prayer Center where we stayed has hotel suites in it. We had 4 rooms. The 2 ajoining rooms downstairs is where we set up our "Spa". I brought candles and spa music. The girls would enter my room and get their facials. It gave me one on one time with them which was really nice. When I teach I am spreading my time out between 20 girls.

Melanie (my step daughter) came and did nails for them she does nails for a living so they really got a professional treatment. A couple of the Moms did hair and makeup.

Althea (my nephews wife) did hair and make up and nails. She kind of hopped all over. Even her Mom even came and helped. Two of the Moms made dinner and pop corn late in the evening real pop corn on the stove!
It all went so well.

The girls brought pretty dress for their fashion show after the spa was over. We also had a huge room the we held the fashion show in that had 2 drop down screens. I had brought some movies so after the the fashion show the girls brough pillows and popcorn and watched a movie. We did get them all in bed by 2:00. The next day I got up at 7:00 took a shower and went to the kitchen there was a mountain of pancakes ready for all our sleepy girls.

FUN FUN FUN night. In 3 weeks we are doing a progressive dinner so that is the next thing I have to work out the details for.

I use photobucket too. I copy the "IMG Code" Glad you figured out how to post pictures. Isn't it so easy??!

Barb: Yor spa event sounds like it turned ot great! I could use a little pampering too. Wait, I am going on a cruise in less than 2 weeks...

Heidi: The cruise is when I get to NOT be a party pooper. Jerry and I really enjoy spending time together all dressed up in the piano bar just talking. We don't get to do that much.

It DID feel good to be a party pooper. I liked not rushing to the shows. Of course, as Denine knows, we never did stay up late to go to the bars.

I am working 2 hours of overtime today so 12 hour shift for me today. Then home to baby sit Ethan. Tomorrow is his "Little Gym" class.

Thanks Barb. I never realized that we were the same-ish age. COOL! You are going to be sooo drained today. Lots of things to do.

I am going to hang on the computer a lot today I bet. I am anxious to hear if we can go to Mexico instead. I should get an email sometime today.

All this talk about the PC cruise makes me sad that we let it go. Ted just doesn't have the time this year. We have cruised with a (gasp) nonDISer the last couple of years and we just love them to death. I think we will try and hook up with them in 2009 again. They usually cruise in Sept. Hopefully, DCL will have some special cruises again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SANDY AND TED!!!

Glad to see everyone posting. It was a crazy weekend! (I know, when isn't it?) Makenzie scored ANOTHER GOAL this saturday, their team lost, but she did the scoring for he team. We ahd a fundraiser for our friend's daughter's soccer team on Sat and then we had the Browns game on sunday!! It was a great weekend.... Ohio State won, Indians won, the Browns won!!! beating Baltimore, and PITTSBURGH LOST!!! Good times!!!

Feeling much better. I've been fighting this sinus infection for several days, but I will survive. I lived through lots of them and this one won't kill me either. I just have had a spliting SPLITTING headache for the last 4 days. (cheering at the game didn't help this, but it was great fun!!)

Sandy, we aren't cruising this year. We are going next Oct. When you have a family of 5, you have to plan your cruises every other year. But that's good since we go to WDW for Christmas (the first week of Dec.) the year we don't go on a cruise.

I guess we aren't as rich as Denine and Jerry. LOL!
Denine, I will get you that liquor list! I have that name of the store with the super low prices in St. Marteen!
