Hi Laurie, how wonderful to hear from you. Sounds like you had busy holidays but this is a new year and things WILL get better. I bet John gets soooo busy over Christmas AND Valentines Day. Tell the family hello for me.

Julie, sounds like Brooke is a perfect baby and the other two are doing so good. You should be proud of them. And.....you are very welcome. Had to send that sippy cup. We don't want anymore incidences like the Big Guy on the ship!

Barb, I promised Ted to lay off the Disney trips for awhile. I know, I know, I keep saying it and continue on with Disney. It is because I have a wonderful husband that likes to please me but it is his turn now. It might be an Alaskan cruise or an all inclusive trip somewhere. But first, I have to save, save, save. SORRY! Of course, I am sad but.........I do love Ted, too.

Sandy! How do you get away with it? I have had bifocals since I was 36...but that was becauase my distance vision is such that it affects my reading with my glasses on...of course I can still read without my glasses...just can't see beyond 2 feet in front of me!

Julie: Like I care what your house looks like! Mine is no better. Kaleigh drops cheerios all over the place and I am too tired to clean much. If it helps, I have a gift for the princess.

Sandy: Sorry about your hectic day. Hope today is better.

Bonnie: My brother has had bifocals since he was in his 20's.

I need some encouragement. I have gained back 13 of the 21 pounds I lost, and I don't know how! I have hardly eaten this past week and gained 2 pounds. I have no energy to exercise. It takes everything I have just to be up and take care of kaleigh. I called the doctors office this morning and I have to wait another week for the results to come back! I don't know how much longer I can go on feeling this way. I don't feel depressed because of the nasty weather. If anything is getting me down, it is the way I have been feeling.

We leave for vacation on Feb. 5th and come back the 14th. We will be gone 2 less days since we are flying. Jerry rented the car yesterday, so we are all set in that department.

I understand how you feel being so tired....I was that way all last summer. Maybe you have a sinus infection.. Hang in there...it will get better.....I know I didn't think I was ever going to feel good again but I did. I know it has to be harder for you since you have a baby to watch and all I had to do was watch was tv.....

I went to Curves this morning and saw a girl I use to be in a craft store with....she has lost 46 pounds since last June going to Curves....she was looking good. If she can do it I can....just have to quit with the bread and sugar. I was doing so good and then I went on the cruise, holidays and Disney so I get to start over. I am so proud of Barb....she is in Curves every morning at 6 before she goes to work. I normally go at 8 but on Thurs I go with another gal at 7 and that is early enough for me.

Need to get going on laundry and cleaning this morning. Want to work on my album this afternoon.

Hi Sally, your friend was so lucky losing that 46 lbs! I would be totally happy with that loss. I pray I can lose it by October. I gotta compete with those thin dudettes at the beach! Speaking of Dudettes, where has Jeanne been? Hmmmm. That Bobby is taking her away from us. I do know however she worked those 12 hour shifts three days in a row not too long ago.

Denine, I was sitting here thinking about your weight gain and what to say to you. I honestly feel that you shouldn't even worry about it right now. You lost it once and you can do it again. I think that you just need to preserve your energy at this point. Then down the road when you are feeling yourself again then start the weight loss. Just watch what you eat. Hang in there, kiddo. The results are only a week away. You have waited this long, you can wait one more week.

Bonnie, ok the truth from me here. I can have bifocals if I want but I can choose not to and use reading glasses for the small stuff. I ONLY have problems reading medicine bottles and that is it so she said don't bother filling it then. Ted has bifocals and never could figure out HOW to use them. The dr. was trying to tell him around me and I thought that I would never figure it out so voila my decision was made. Ted isn't even going to fill his bifocal prescription this time.

The new love is wonderful & we had alot of parties over the holidays. After the New Year's Eve Party (which was terrific) we had my holiday party last Friday 1/9/04 & then drove to Midlothian, Virginia, to his house for the weekend. I had to fit work in there somewhere so I just haven't had computer time. Tonight he cooked dinner for my roomate & I &is now reading the paper. In April I am going to California to see my daughter from 4/3/04-4/14/04 & on the day I return Bobby & I are flying out to New Orleans for the weekend.

I am headed to the hairdresser today. I just can't style my hair like she did. I look just like this. I hope she can teach me. It looked so easy last week and she thought that my hair was perfect for it. Cross your fingers. Otherwise I have to grow it back out like it was.

Bobby is going to see his niece in a play tonight but it will last almost three hours & I have to get up for work tomorrow so I am back to my "old" cruise buddies.

Sandy, I need to go get bifocals but I'm resisting. How can I convince the world that I'm a wild young thing if I'm doing the dead-giveaway head tilt? My gosh, getting a mini-van was hard enough!

Denine, I hope you feel better soon. I just thought of an idea. The healing power of laughter! Rent some of your favorite comedies and a few that you have never seen, on a weekly basis. Maybe you can work them into the schedule to watch uninterrupted. Good luck.

Jeanne, just one question...... will we all be invited to the wedding? I've got the ring bearer and flowergirls! LOL!

OK, the gift exchange....... how about this monday night? Otherwise I think that we will be opening the gifts at Easter time. We could do 8:30pm est? If monday isn't good, maybe another day during the week or next Friday. What do you all think?

Thankyou for all your support for my venting a few days ago, it's nice to get things of my chest!!!

I think i've been a right moaner the last few days, it must be those January blues, They even accused me of moaning at work the other day! I need some Disney magic

Well only 279 days until the October 23rd Cruise!!! (I had some time on my hand so I worked this out!).

Jeanne - Sounds like things are going well for you then!

Lori - Don't work too hard!! I know that feeling and it's not good!

Ooh... One more thing... Things are looking good for me, the exchange rate keeps getting better and better from UK pounds to US Dollars. About 6 months ago I could get around 1.43 dollars for every pound. Now, at the moment I can 1.81 dollars to the pound!!! and they are predicting that I could go to 1.9 or higher by the end of the year. It's great, vacations to the US for me keep getting cheaper. Also with all this security trouble recently flights from the UK to US are really going down. I've paid as much as £450(GBP) - £500(GBP) for a flight to Orlando, now I've seen flights for as little as £230(GBP)!

Although I have to say with everything going on, on the news over here, I would be a little extra cautious about flying to the US at the moment (expecially with BA)

She did about 1/2 and I did the other 1/2. So today I woke up with it standing straight up. Just like your post. She didn't think that I would need to do anything this morning. WRONG! You definitely are running behind if you haven't thanked Faith yet. She will love to hear from you. She talked really highly of you. She said "you can tell that she is a party girl". I thought that was funny.

Lori, you are much too busy. You make me tired just thinking about your life. Bifocals and mini vans. Hmmmmm, is someone aging? Love ya, mean it.

Wow Darren, things are looking up for you and our trip. Getting cheaper that is for sure. I am trying to decide whether or not to buy the plane tickets this early out. Where do you stay in FL before a cruise? How early do you come in? I agree with you. It is a little scary flying right now for you. I was thinking the same thing the other day. At least you have 9 months left.

Better get running. Ted will be home soon and we are going glasses shopping. Did that last night and I simply refuse to pay 230.00 for a pair of glasses. Are they out of their minds????? And, it was 50% off lens and frames. First went to Sam's Club and then a couple of others. We are headed back to Sam's today. BIG difference. Didn't like the frames as well, but I refuse to pay the price. OK, so I am CHEAP.

Hey Sandy!! I am here!!

Monday night would be fine with me, but whatever the rest of you decide is ok.

A busy Saturday for us. I had to work from 6 am - 11 am ( we are going through a software conversion at work so lots of extra hours!! ) Kristen had to cheer at the 5th grade Boys BBall game at 8:15 am and play at her game at 12:25 pm (Of course the 2 games were 30 miles apart!! Lots of chasing!! We went to church tonight so we can sleep in tomorrow !!
Tomorrow we have my 4 yr old nephew's b-day party at noon and then Kristen cheers at the boys' bball tournament game at 2:15!!

Thank God John was off today to help with the chasing!! We even got to eat at Olive Garden tonight!! NO COOKING!! :jumping4:

Even better....he is also off on Monday when Kristen is off of school!!!

Time to curl up with a book and relax.....maybe some wine.....or hot cocoa and peppermint schnapps!! Cocktails anyone??

Never fear, I'm always here Sandy! Good to see Laurie posting too! Nothing to report here. Garry and I got to Home Depot today to buy somethings to start MAJOR fixing up projects in this house. The bathroom is the MAJOR task that we will start soon. We did get a few things like new light fixtures for our bedroom and the bathroom. Also got a new doorbell since ours died on us a few months after we moved in. Garry was a busy bee when we got home and put up the light fixtures and the doorbell. We have the doorbell set to Rock-a-bye baby in honor of Brooke. It can play over 60 tunes! Boy am I gonna have fun with that! Other than that, nothing new and exciting going on here.

Makenzie figured out all on her own how to print things off my computer. She was on the Disney website and you can print out princesses and things of that nature, and she just clicked on a few stops and was printing like she had been doing it for years I swear, she knows more about computers now then I do. She and the Big Guy fight over what game to play on her computer. I told Garry that we need another computer in the Big Guy's room so they stop fighting over hers. If only I was that smart at their age!

Bonnie, your son's band sounds GREAT!! Tell him that I really enjoyed hearing his band!

I had an extremely busy day yesterday...a friend flew up from Fort Lauderdale to buy a car...his BIL is general manager of a Chevy dealership...What a deal he got!!! I ALMOST bought a car...2002 HOnda Civic EX with CD, Moonroof etc...already has 45,000 miles on it but it is in pristine condition! Almost started the finance paperwork and got cold feet.... I may call him Monday and tell him to put it through. We'll see.

Monday is OK for me for gift opening if ok with all others. Who doesn't have IM ?
