I really hate snow. mom has to work tonight she gets home by 1130 pm I'm hoping the roads won't be too icy then. besides that I can't take Lucky outside the snow is over his head. It is 4 am and I am up....not because it is my birthday but my head and nose hurts from the sinus or whatever I have. Thank you Julie for the birthday wish. My grandaughter is taking me to dinner and a movie and we are hoping Dick feels like going.

My team lost on the AR.....I was surprised they hadn't lost before....now if that jerk Johnathan would only lose.....

Did anyone watch Wickedly Perfect last night.....the guy that got voted off seemed a little into himself...

Heidi, I don't trust any trucks, snowplows, etc. We have been run off the road by a truck and it is pretty scarey as they are so big.

Julie, I hope you get to feeling better.....don't you just hate not feeling good...it seems such a waste of time.

Sandy, I am starting all over on my weight lose....gained 7 pounds over the holidays....I go back to Curves Monday. Do you have any good recipes for salmon? I get tired of it really fast and Dick loves it....I mostly grill it....

Denine, I bet you have some good recipes for salmon...you seem to have good recipes for most anything. I remember when my kids loved to have me dance with them when they were little....especially when I would dance in a circle....oh, those good old dizzy day!!

When I got up yesterday I had a place on my cheek that looked like a small bag of water.....I think I got bite by a spider....Dick wanted to take me to the doctor right away but I didn't feel anything from it so I said lets wait until today. This morning the swelling has gone down but you can see the mark that looks like a bite. I am tearing my bed apart today and washing the sheets.....

I spent the day yesterday cropping pictures for the Heritage albums I am making for the kids and us....five in all. It was a good way to accomplish something and not overdo. I felt better than I have for several days and I know me....

No time to post. Just wanted to wish Sally a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Will post more later. Sorry. Heidi and I just shopped all day and now it is dinner time.

Sally: I will look. I know I have salmon recipes, but Jerry doesn't like it. A spider bite, yikes!

Jerry said that since the weekend away is so important to me, we will still go. We will just cut back in other areas, which means no going out to eat.

I just got my WW CD in the mail. I glanced through and it has some yummy looking recipes. I love this points system! I still have 4 more points for the day and I have actually eaten 2 meals. We had ham, mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner. The ham was leftover from NYE. It is nice to be able to eat REAL food. I am still hungry, so it must be working.

We went to the store last night. I stocked up on stuff. I did buy some WW and Lean Cuisine meals. Some are for Jerry to take to work. We each ate one last night, not bad for coming from a box. I will be able to make more stuff when I get organized.

0 point foods:
Several 1 cup servings of veggies are available
1 cup broth or bouillon
1 egg white
1 medium kiwi
1 small orange
3 passion fruit
1 small or medium peach
1/2 cup, sliced water chestnuts

1 point foods:
1 Tbsp sliced almonds
1 slice bacon
1 mini bagel
1 cup blue or black berries
4 saltines
3 egg whites
3 cups plain air popped popcorn
1-1/2 cups raspeberries or strawberries
1 6" corn tortilla
1 7" whole wheat tortilla

basically there are all sorts of things in these 2 categories. There are more in the 2 point category. They want you to use all your points every day. The last 2 days I have had 1 point left. I had 3 eggwhites fried in pam for lunch yesterday. Not bad for 1 point!

I am going to lose this weight and I am excited to have a plan with fodd to get me there!

Denine, I love the WW plan. I'm not sure if you have the new program or the older program. The new program has two options: the flex plan or the core plan. I do the flex plan. I can tell you that the weeks I am not faithful watching and logging my points I definitely go over!! Have fun with it and I will dig through my file at work next week and sned you a longer list of 1 and 2 point foods.

We leave for Raleigh in the morning and will be back on Sunday.

Today's calendar entry just said: Murphy was an optimist.

Good Morning!!

I am speed typing this morning. I am off to meet a friend and join WW! I quickly scanned the previous postings and it looks like there are a few of us.

Today is the first day I have read the board in a few weeks. I have really been struggling since Christmas. Not the best Christmas with Bob leaving but we are down almost 2 weeks. He will be home in 3 more. I am planning a get away to Estes Park after he gets home.

Better go I have not even taken a shower and I am suppose to be there in 30 minutes! YIKES!

What a nice surprise to read a post from Kristy. I thiink we have always played phone tag. Neither one of us reach each other. How funny. Hey that's nice that your mom gave you her computer. I got Ted a little mad at me cuz I told him I want to get our software problem fixed so we can make our DVD of the trip. I think he wants to just leave it as is. I keep hounding him and I think he had it. Oops. So how is Mikey liking his job? Wait till you hear from Heidi about what Radar did.

Sally, how horrible! A spider bite. Hope you are doing better and had a great day yesterday. I got a package yesterday from WDW and right after we opened it we noticed 2 spiders, one on the wall and one on the couch. I don't know for sure but I think it came from the package. I immediately put it out in the garage. No, we didn't watch Perfectly Wicked. I think Ted would kill us if we watch one more reality show.

Barb, DON'T shy away from the board when you need some uplifting. We are here to help you through Bob's absence. Are you going to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park? Don't forget to eat the taffy! Yummy!

Denine and Susan, so how many points can you guys have in a day? I was shocked to see all the yummy food on the 0 and 1 point list. I can have WW or Lean Cuisine three times a week. I think they say that it is high in sodium so they preselected the ones they want us to have.

Hi Sandy! Boy are we a few with short words! Nothing exciting going on around here. I am watching the Denver game. I'm taking Makenzie overto my brother's to see if he wants to buy girl scout cookies. She "technically" can't sell girl scout cookies- beingshe is only a Daisy, but we worked that out. SOOOO if any of you would like girl scout cookies....... let me know. The are $3 a box and I can send them to you when they arrive. They have the Thin Mints, Tangalongs, Do-si-dos, Trifoils, Samoas, Lemon Coolers (reduced fat), All Abouts (shortbread cookies with a thin layer of fudge on the bottom), and Double Dutch (chocolate chocolate chips). I know shame on me.... all of us on diets, but I have to do the mommy thing and try to help her sell her cookies. (they do freeze nicely!!!!) Ok, I'll stop.

Where has Bonnie been???????? I think we need to send out the mounties!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Julie, don't ask me any football questions! I know nothing. Didn't watch a single game this season. All I know is that the guys have to get the ball down to the end zone and then kick the ball. That is it. I THINK I heard that they lost. Don't even know that. If you want to send the cookies to me then put me down for 2 do si do's. They are the kind that are carmely, chewy, coconut, choc drizzled cookies, right? Also one tag a longs. They are the choc covered peanut butter ones, right? At least I have you to talk to!! Bonnie?? Who is that??

Does anyone want to front me a loan? OMG, I just went shopping for bras. I refuse to pay that kind of money. ON SALE, 2 for 45.00. Ridiculous. Guess I will set out tomorrow to look for cheaper ones. Sally and Barb, maybe even head for the outlet stores in Castle Rock. Since I have lost almost 30 pounds, I need NEW ones!

Heidi finally got her stocking stuffer from us that she has been waiting for. It was what she gave Bonnie and I gave Barb for Christmas. It is a snowman that has his arms around Mickey and lights up. The snowman changes colors. Susan, it is on the order of what I gave you last year. Of course, I had to buy one for me and one for Stacey too. When I heard Bonnie open hers up I knew I blew it by not buying me one! We had to order it from WDW and one came not lighting up properly so I called WDW and they are going to send a new one and they told me to keep the other one or donate to a charity. Cool!

Man Julie, I am mad at you. Now all I can think about is those cookies. I want one NOW! lol

Hope Brooke had a great birthday and that she has a great party next weekend!


We're back from Raleigh and hockey. Won one, tied one and had a scrimmage game that didn't count that if they had kept score I think we would have lost.

Calendar entry for Sat/Sun combined: If Murphy's Law can go wrong, it will.

We leave Friday for Orlando and a long weekend of 4 hockey games. Paul's sister and maybe his niece will drive over to watch some of the games. They have never seen him play. I hope it is warmer this trip than our last one. No time for the parks this trip either. Maybe we will make it over to Downtown Disney for a little shopping. One of Turner's friends is going to ride with us since his parents can't make it. At least Turner will have companionship for the 9 hour drive.


My mom and stepfather left Saturday for a 7 day Norwegian Cruise. I think they go to Georgetown, Cozumel, and Key West. They left from Charleston, SC.
